LTC4274 Demo Board | IEEE802.3at Power Over Ethernet PSE

Demonstration circuit 1567B features the LTC4274, a single power sourcing equipment (PSE) controller designed for use in IEEE 802.3 Type 1 and Type 2 (high power) compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems. The LTC4274 is configured in the DC1567B as a midspan power injector where data comes in from an existing network system and out, along with power, to a powered device (PD). The LTC4274 autonomously detects and classifies a PD, turns power on to the port, and disconnects port power without the need for a microcontroller. A two second backoff timer supports the midspan configuration. A 55V nomical supply is recommended to power the demo board.

The ADXRS800 is an angular rate sensor (gyroscope) intended for automotive electronic stability control, vehicle rollover detection, and other high performance applications. An advanced, differential, quad-sensor design rejects the influence of linear acceleration, enabling the ADXRS800 to operate in exceedingly harsh environments where shock and vibration are present.The ADXRS800 uses an internal, continuous self-test archi-tecture. The integrity of the electromechanical system is checked by applying a high frequency electrostatic force to the sense structure to generate a rate signal that can be differentiated from the baseband rate data and internally analyzed.The ADXRS800 is capable of sensing an angular rate of up to ?300?/sec. Angular rate data is presented as a 16-bit word, as part of a 32-bit SPI message.The ADXRS800 is available in a cavity plastic SOIC-16 and an SMT-compatible vertical mount package and is capable of operating across both a wide voltage range (3.3 V to 5 V) and temperature range (?40?C to 105?C).APPLICATIONS Electronic stability control High performance platform stabilization

Demonstration circuit 901A features the LTC3444 and is a highly efficient, 1.5MHz fixed frequency buck-boost DC/DC converter. The input voltage can range from 3.1V to 5.0V and is suitable for Li-Ion or three-cell NiCd/NiMH battery applications while the output voltage can be set anywhere from 0.8V to 4.2V by injecting a 0.35V to 2.4V control signal. The demo board provides up to 400mA of output current.

The LT3781 controller simplifies the design of high power synchronous dual transistor forward DC/DC converters. The part employs fixed frequency current mode control and supports both isolated and nonisolated topologies. The IC drives external N-channel power MOSFETs and operates with input voltages up to 72V.The LT3781 is ideal for output derived power schemes, through the use of a large undervoltage lockout hysteresis range. The part is also equipped with an 18V VCC shunt regulator, which prevents exceeding absolute maximum ratings while in trickle start applications.The LT3781?s operating frequency is programmable and can be synchronized up to 350kHz. Switch phase is also controlled during synchronized operation to accommodate multiple-converter systems. Demonstration circuit 2374A is a multi-chemistry battery charger with optional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) featuring the LTC4013. The LTC4013 has configurable 3 stage and 4 stage lead acid and Li-Ion battery algorithms in addition to 2 stage CC/CV charge cycles. The DC2374A is set up to operate from a 21.5V to 35V supply or from a solar panel and charges a six cell lead acid battery at 5A. It also can be configured to operate down to 5V. There are optional input and output capacitors plus large inductor pads and parallel top and bottom FET pads to allow high power charging. The operating frequency, charge voltage, low battery (LB) voltage setting and timing are configurable with external resistors and a capacitor. The different charging algorithms are jumper-selectable, set by two tri-state mode pins and the TIMER pin.

The ADXRS642 is a complete angular rate sensor (gyroscope) that uses the Analog Devices, Inc., surface-micromachining process to make a functionally complete and low cost angular rate sensor integrated with all of the required electronics on one chip. The manufacturing technique for this device is a patented high volume BiMOS process with years of proven field reliability.The ADXRS642 is an industrial grade gyroscope that is 100% pin, package, temperature, and function compatible with the ADXRS622 and ADXRS652, while offering enhanced vibration rejection.The output signal, RATEOUT (1B, 2A), is a voltage proportional to angular rate about the axis normal to the top surface of the package. The measurement range is a minimum of ?250?/s. The output is ratiometric with respect to a provided reference supply. Other external capacitors are required for operation.A temperature output is provided for compensation techniques. Two digital self-test inputs electromechanically excite the sensor to test proper operation of both the sensor and the signal conditioning circuits.
