Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7794/AD7795 are low power, low noise, complete analog front ends for high precision measurement applications. They contain a low noise, 24-/16-bit ?-? ADC with six differential inputs. The on-chip low noise instrumentation amplifier means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.Each device contains a precision, low noise, low drift internal band gap reference, and can also accept up to two external differential references. Other on-chip features include programmable excitation current sources, burnout currents, and a bias voltage generator that is used to set the common-mode voltage of a channel to AVDD/2. The low-side power switch can be used to power down bridge sensors between conversions, minimizing the system?s power consumption. The AD7794/AD7795 can operate with either an internal clock or an external clock. The output data rate from each part can vary from 4.17 Hz to 470 Hz.Both parts operate with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. The B-grade parts (AD7794 and AD7795) are specified for a temperature range of ?40?C to +105?C while the C-grade part (AD7794) is specified for a temperature range of ?40?C to +125?C. LT3001 Demo Board | Micropower No-Opto isolated Flyback Converter with 65V/1.2A Switch
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 3006A is a compact no-opto
isolated flyback converter featuring the LT3001. The
DC3006A outputs 12V, and maintains tight regulation
with as load current from 1.5mA up to 300mA over an
input voltage from 4V to 32V. The output current capability increases with the input voltage, as shown in the
Performance Summary table.
Transformer leakage inductance causes a voltage spike on the primary side after the power switch turns off. The leakage inductance spike is limited within the MOSFET’s voltage rating of 65V with an RC snubber and a TVS clamp which damp the ringing and clamp the MOSFET drain voltage to a safe level.
The Performance Summary table summarizes the performance of the demo board at room temperature. The demo circuit can be easily modified for different applications with some pre-designed transformers.
The LT3001 datasheet gives a complete description of the part, operation and application information. The datasheet must be read in conjunction with this quick start guide for demo circuit 3006A.

The LTC3331 integrates a high voltage energy harvesting power supply plus a buck-boost DC/DC powered from a rechargeable battery to create a single output supply for alternative energy applications. A 10mA shunt allows simple charging of the battery with harvested energy while a low battery disconnect function protects the battery from deep discharge. The energy harvesting power supply, consisting of an integrated full-wave bridge rectifier and a high voltage buck DC/DC, harvests energy from piezoelectric, solar, or magnetic sources. Either DC/DC converter can deliver energy to a single output. The buck operates when harvested energy is available, reducing the quiescent current draw on the battery to the 200nA required by the shunt charger, thereby extending the life of the battery. The buck-boost powers VOUT only when harvested energy is unavailable.A supercapacitor balancer is also integrated, allowing for increased output storage. Voltage and current settings for both inputs and outputs are programmable via pin-strapped logic inputs. The LTC3331 is available in a 5mm ? 5mm QFN-32 package.Applications Energy Harvesting Solar Powered Systems with Battery Backup Wireless HVAC Sensors and Security Devices Mobile Asset Tracking

EKIT01-HMC1033LP6G
Analog Devices Inc.
The HMC1033LP6GE is a low-noise, wide-band 3.3 V clock generator IC with a fractional-N Phase Locked Loop (PLL) that features an integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO). The device provides differential clock outputs between 25 MHz and 550 MHz range. The HMC1033LP6GE features a low noise Phase Detector (PD) and Delta- Sigma modulator, capable of operating at up to 100 MHz which permits wider loop-bandwidths and excellent spurious performance. The HMC1033LP6GE features industry leading phase noise and jitter performance, across the operating range, that enable it to improve link level jitter performance, Bit-Error-Rates (BER) and eye diagram metrics. The superior noise floor (<-162 dBc/Hz) makes the HMC1033LP6GE an ideal source for a variety of applications?such as clock references for high speed data converters, physical layer devices (PHY), serializer/deserializer (SER DES) circuits, FPGAs and processors. The HMC1033LP6GE can also be used as an LO for 10G/40G/100G optical modules and transponders, as well as primary reference clock for 10G/40G/100G line cards, and for jitter attenuation and frequency translation. The differential output of the HMC1033LP6GE can be set to either an LVPECL or LVDS compatible mode, with further output swing which makes the device flexible and compatible with a wide variety of signal level requirements. The output can be internally terminated to reduce component count and cost. The outputs could be terminated externally in LVPECL mode using standard methods such as resistors to ground. An Output Mute function allows the user to shut off the outputs, such as may be required for board testing or debugging. The LVPECL/LVDS, amplitude select and Output Mute function are all programmed SPI serial programming. The HMC1033LP6GE is designed to select between a Power Priority or a Performance Priority mode. The Power Priority setting reduces the current consumption of the part, whereas the Performance Priority setting improves the Jitter and Phase Noise performance. The 24 bit Delta-Sigma Modulator further enhances Hittite?s Exact Frequency Mode, which enables users to generate output frequencies with 0 Hz frequency error in many applications.APPLICATIONS 10G/40G/100G Optical Modules,?Transponders, Line Cards OTN and SONET /SDH Applications Data Converters,?Sample Clock Generation Cellular/4G Infrastructure High Frequency Processor/FPGA Clocks Any Frequency Clock Rate Generation Low Jitter SAW Oscillator Replacement DDS Replacement Frequency Translation Frequency Margining

EVAL-ADXRS453Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADXRS453 is an angular rate sensor (gyroscope) intended for industrial, instrumentation, and stabilization applications in high vibration environments. An advanced, differential, quad sensor design rejects the influence of linear acceleration, enabling the ADXRS453 to offer high accuracy rate sensing in harsh envi-ronments where shock and vibration are present. The ADXRS453 uses an internal, continuous self-test architec-ture. The integrity of the electromechanical system is checked by applying a high frequency electrostatic force to the sense structure to generate a rate signal that can be differentiated from the base-band rate data and internally analyzed. The ADXRS453 is capable of sensing an angular rate of up to ?300?/sec. Angular rate data is presented as a 16-bit word that is part of a 32-bit SPI message. The ADXRS453 is available in a 16-lead plastic cavity SOIC (SOIC_CAV) and an SMT-compatible vertical mount package (LCC_V), and is capable of operating across a wide voltage range (3.3 V to 5 V). ApplicationsRotation sensing in high vibration environments Rotation sensing for industrial and instrumentation applicationsHigh performance platform stabilization
