The LT3029 is a dual, micropower, low noise, low dropout linear regulator. The device operates either with a common input supply or independent input supplies for each channel, over an input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V. Each output supplies up to 500mA of output current with a typical dropout voltage of 300mV. Quiescent current is well controlled in dropout. With an external 10nF bypass capacitor, output noise is only 20?VRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth. Designed for use in battery-powered systems, the low 55?A quiescent current per channel makes it an ideal choice. In shutdown, quiescent current drops to less than 1?A. Shutdown control is independent for each channel, allowing for flexible power management.The LT3029 optimizes stability and transient response with low ESR ceramic output capacitors, requiring a minimum of only 3.3?F. The regulator does not require the addition of ESR, as is common with other regulators.Internal circuitry provides reverse-battery protection, reverse-current protection, current limiting with foldback and thermal shutdown. The device is available as an adjustable output voltage device with a 1.215V reference voltage. The AD7291 is a 12-bit, low power, 8-channel, successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an internal temperature sensor.The part operates from a single 3.3 V power supply and features an I2C-compatible interface. The part contains a 9-channel multiplexer and a track-and-hold amplifier than can handle frequencies up to 30 MHz. The device has an on-chip 2.5 V reference that can be disabled to allow the use of an external reference.The AD7291 provides a 2-wire serial interface compatible with I2C interfaces. The I2C interface supports standard and fast I2C interface modes. The AD7291 normally remains in a partial power-down state while not converting and powers up for conversions.
