The ADF7012 is a low power FSK/GFSK/OOK/GOOK/ASK UHF transmitter designed for short-range devices (SRDs). The output power, output channels, deviation frequency, and modulation type are programmable by using four, 32-bit registers.The fractional-N PLL and VCO with external inductor enable the user to select any frequency in the 75 MHz to 1 GHz band. The fast lock times of the fractional-N PLL make the ADF7012 suitable in fast frequency hopping systems. The fine frequency deviations available and PLL phase noise performance facilitates narrow-band operation.There are five selectable modulation schemes: binary frequency shift keying (FSK), Gaussian frequency shift keying (GFSK), binary on-off keying (OOK), Gaussian on-off keying (GOOK), and amplitude shift keying (ASK). In the compensation register, the output can be moved in <1 ppm steps so that indirect compensation for frequency error in the crystal reference can be made.A simple 3-wire interface controls the registers. Demonstration Circuit 1227A is a wide VIN, high efficiency, fixed frequency synchronous Buck-Boost converter using the LTC3534EDHC. The LTC3534EDHC topology operates with input voltages above, below or equal to the output voltage, making the product ideal for multi-cell Alkaline/NiMH or single Lithium Ion/Polymer applications where the output voltage is within the battery voltage range. The LTC3534EDHC operates with a 2.4V to 7V input voltage range and a VOUT range of 1.8V to 7V. The demonstration board has been designed to operate with VIN from 3.6V to 7V and VOUT is set to 5V with an output current up to 500mA.

Demonstration circuit 1294A exercises four adjustable linear regulators in parallel using the LT3080. A small 20 mΩ ballast resistor is required for parallel operation. A short PCB trace can easily serve that purpose. The paralleled devices provide up to 4.4A of output current at 3.3V. Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, the LT3080 can be used in many applications requiring high current, adjustability to zero output, and no heat sink. The device brings out the collector of the pass transistor to allow low dropout operation when used with multiple supplies. The LT3080's output voltage can be programmed to any level between 0V and 36V; however the demo board has a reduced input voltage range from 3.8V to 25V due to the input capacitor voltage rating.

The LTC4279 is an autonomous single port power sourcing equipment (PSE) controller designed for use in IEEE 802.3at Type 1, Type 2 and LTPoE++ compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems. The LTC4279 provides fully autonomous IEEE 802.3 and LTPoE++ compliant operation without a microcontroller. The LTC4279 simplifies PSE implementation, requiring only a single supply and a small number of passive support components.The LTC4279 delivers lowest-in-industry heat dissipation by utilizing a low-RDS(ON) external MOSFET and a 0.1? sense resistor, eliminating the need for expensive heat sinks and increasing efficiency.PD discovery uses a proprietary dual-mode 4-point detection mechanism ensuring excellent immunity from false PD detection. Midspan PSEs are supported with physical layer classification and a 2.5 second backoff timer.Legacy and custom PDs are supported with pin-selectable LEGACY and UltraPWR modes. LEGACY mode detects and powers pre-IEEE specification PDs.
