The ADP2105 / ADP2106 / ADP2107 are low quiescent current,synchronous, step-down dc-to-dc converters in a compact 4 mm ?4 mm LFCSP package. At medium to high load currents, thesedevices use a current mode, constant frequency pulse-widthmodulation (PWM) control scheme for excellent stability andtransient response. To ensure the longest battery life in portableapplications, the ADP2105 / ADP2106 / ADP2107 use a pulsefrequency modulation (PFM) control scheme under light loadconditions that reduces switching frequency to save power.The ADP2105 / ADP2106 / ADP2107 run from input voltages of2.7 V to 5.5 V, allowing single Li+/Li? polymer cell, multiplealkaline/NiMH cells, PCMCIA, and other standard power sources.The output voltage of ADP2105 / ADP2106 / ADP2107 is adjustablefrom 0.8 V to the input voltage (indicated by ADJ), whereas theADP2105 / ADP2106 / ADP2107 are available in preset outputvoltage options of 3.3 V, 1.8 V, 1.5 V, and 1.2 V (indicated by x.x V).Each of these variations is available in three maximum currentlevels: 1 A (ADP2105), 1.5 A (ADP2106), and 2 A (ADP2107).The power switch and synchronous rectifier are integrated forminimal external part count and high efficiency. During logiccontrolled shutdown, the input is disconnected from the output,and it draws less than 0.1 ?A from the input source. The LT3585 series are highly integrated ICs designed to charge photo?ash capacitors in digital and ?lm cameras. A new control technique allows for the use of extremely small transformers. Each part contains an on-chip high voltage NPN power switch. Output voltage detection is completely contained within the part, eliminating the need for any discrete zener diodes or resistors. The output voltage can be adjusted by simply changing the turns ratio of the transformer.The CHRG/IADJ pin gives full control of the part to the user. Driving CHRG/IADJ low puts the part in low power shutdown. The CHRG/IADJ pin can also be used to reduce the input current of the charger, useful in extending battery life. Demonstration circuit 2268A-F is a high efficiency, high density, dual 8A, switch mode step-down power supply on a compact 1.5' × 1.2' PCB. It features the LTM4630A μModule® regulator. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 5.3V. DC2268A-F can deliver up to 18A maximum in each channel. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the resistor jumper (R1/R2) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst-Mode® in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 36A output solution with optional jumper resistors. The board allows the user to program how its output ramps up and down through the TRACK/SS pin. Remote output voltage sensing is available for improved output voltage regulation at the load point. An optional input inductor L1 reduces the EMI noise for noise sensitive applications. DC2268A can be easily inserted to an edge connector for testing and debugging. These features and the availability of the LTM4630A in a compact 16mm × 16mm × 4.41mm LGA package make it ideal for use in many high-density point-of-load regulation applications. The LTM4630A data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for working on or modifying the DC2268A-F.

The LTC4365 protects applications where power supply input voltages may be too high, too low or even negative. It does this by controlling the gate voltages of a pair of external N-channel MOSFETs to ensure that the output stays within a safe operating range.The LTC4365 can withstand voltages between ?40V and 60V and has an operating range of 2.5V to 34V, while consuming only 125?A in normal operation.Two comparator inputs allow configuration of the overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) set points using an external resistive divider. A shutdown pin provides external control for enabling and disabling the MOSFETs as well as placing the device in a low current shutdown state. A fault output provides status of the gate pin pulling low. A fault is indicated when the part is in shutdown or the input voltage is outside the UV and OV set points.The LTC4365 has a 36ms turn-on delay that debounces live connections and blocks 50Hz to 60Hz AC power.
