Demonstration circuit 776 is a 36V-72VIN, 2-switch forward converter with synchronous secondary-side control featuring the LTC3705 and LTC3706. This circuit was designed specifically to attain a high stepdown ratio power supply in one stage in order to efficiently power 1.5V loads from a typical telecom input voltage range. Isolation voltage is 1500VDC. This circuit features secondary-side control of the supply without the need of an optocoupler.

The LTC3803 is a constant frequency current mode flyback controller optimized for driving N-channel MOSFETs in high input voltage applications. Constant frequency operation is maintained down to very light loads, resulting in less low frequency noise generation over a wide range of load currents. Slope compensation can be programmed with an external resistor.The LTC3803 provides ?1.5% output voltage accuracy and consumes only 240?A of quiescent current. Ground-referenced current sensing allows LTC3803-based converters to accept input supplies beyond the LTC3803?s absolute maximum VCC. A micropower hysteretic start-up feature allows efficient operation at high input voltages. For simplicity, the LTC3803 can also be powered from a high VIN through a resistor, due to its internal shunt regulator. An internal undervoltage lockout shuts down the LTC3803 when the input voltage is too low to provide sufficient gate drive to the external MOSFET.The LTC3803 is available in a low profile (1mm) 6-lead SOT-23 (ThinSOT?) package. Demonstration circuit 788A is a complete constant-current, constant-voltage battery charger for one Lithium-Ion cell and featuring the LTC4061EDD. The demo board has an input voltage range of 4.3V to 8V, suitable for USB applications. Jumpers on the board allow charge currents from 50mA to 1A to be programmed and several charge termination methods to be used. Terminals are provided for adding a thermistor for sensing battery temperature, shutting down the charger, monitoring charge current and programming the minimum charge current level for termination (IDETECT). The LTC4061 features an internal P-channel power MOSFET with a unique thermal feedback loop that reduces the output current under high ambient temperature and/or high power dissipation conditions. This feature allows the charger to provide higher charge currents under normal conditions and still provide safe charging under abnormal conditions such as high ambient temperature, high input voltage or low battery voltage.

The LTC4061-4.4 is a full-featured, flexible, standalone linear charger for single-cell 4.375V Lithium-Ion batteries. It is capable of operating within USB power specifications.Both programmable time and programmable current based termination schemes are available. Furthermore, the CHRG open-drain status pin can be programmed to indicate the battery charge state according to the needs of the application. Additional safety features designed to maximize battery lifetime and reliability include NTC battery temperature sensing and the SmartStart charging algorithm.No external sense resistor or external blocking diode is required for charging due to the internal MOSFET architecture. Internal thermal feedback regulates the charge current to maintain a constant die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charge current is programmed with an external resistor. With power applied, the LTC4061-4.4 can be put into shutdown mode to reduce the supply current to 20?A and the battery drain current to less than 5?A.Other features include smart recharge, USB C/5 current programming input, undervoltage lockout and AC Present logic output.? The ADAU1962A is a high performance, single-chip digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that provides 12 DACs with differential or single-ended outputs using the Analog Devices, Inc., patented multibit ?-? architecture. A serial peripheral interface (SPI)/I2C port is included, allowing a microcontroller to adjust volume and many other parameters. The ADAU1962A operates from 2.5 V digital and 3.3 V analog supplies. A linear regulator is included to generate the digital supply voltage from the analog supply voltage. The ADAU1962A is available in an 80-lead LQFP.The ADAU1962A is designed for low EMI. This consideration is apparent in both the system and circuit design architectures. By using the on-board PLL to derive the internal master clock from an external left-right frame clock (LRCLK), the ADAU1962A can eliminate the need for a separate high frequency master clock andcan be used with or without a bit clock. The DACs are designed using the latest Analog Devices continuous time architectures to further minimize EMI.
