Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 516A-A is a low output voltage, synchronous boost converter featuring the LTC3423. The LTC3423 is ideal for applications that require an output voltage between 1.5V to 2.6V from a single alkaline or NiCd/NiMH cell. A bias voltage (VDD) of 2.7V to 5.5V is required to power the internal circuitry. The input voltage (VIN) range is 1V to 1.6V, but once up and running, the device can operate with an input voltage as low as 0.5V. The output voltage is set at 1.8V. For a 1V minimum battery voltage, the LTC3423 can provide 350mA.

LTC3703EGN Demo board | High Input Voltage, Step-Down 6A Power Supply, 20 to 72VIN, 12VOUT @ 6A

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 501 is high power, high voltage, and high efficiency DC/DC buck converter featuring the LTC3703. This is a general-purpose high voltage DC to DC with an input voltage range of 20V to 72V. The board is optimized for positive 48V input operation with high voltage surges up to 72VDC allowed. The limiting factor is the LTC3703 GN16 package that will not meet UL/CSA/IEC60950 clearance and creepage distance requirements above the SELV 60VDC maximum due to pin spacing. If the user wishes to support higher continuous input voltages or compliance to 60950, the LTC3703 is offered in a G-28 pin package. See Data Sheet. However, for the purposes of evaluation, the board will work reliably up to 72V. The maximum continuous current in free air is 4A. 6A is permissible with some forced air cooling. The output voltage is programmed with a voltage divider and configured for 12V.

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAU1966 is a high performance, single-chip DAC thatprovides 16 digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with differentialoutput using the Analog Devices, Inc., patented multibitsigma-delta (?-?) architecture. An SPI/I2C port is included, allowing a microcontroller to adjust volume and many otherparameters. The ADAU1966 operates from 2.5 V digital, 5 Vanalog and 3.3 V or 5 V input/output supplies. A linear regulatoris included to generate the digital supply voltage from the analogsupply voltage. The ADAU1966 is available in an 80-lead LQFPpackage. The ADAU1966 is designed for low EMI. This consideration isapparent in both the system and circuit design architectures.By using the on-board PLL to derive the internal master clockfrom an external LRCLK, the ADAU1966 can eliminate theneed for a separate high frequency master clock and can beused with or without a bit clock. The DACs are designed usingthe latest Analog Devices continuous time architectures tofurther minimize EMI. By using 2.5 V digital supplies, powerconsumption is minimized, and the digital waveforms are asmaller amplitude, further reducing emissions. Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7170 is a very low power 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It contains a precision 12-bit sigma-delta (?-?) ADC and an on-chip oscillator. Consuming only 135 ?A, the AD7170 is particularly suitable for portable or battery operated products where very low power is a requirement. The AD7170 also has a power-down mode in which the device consumes 5 ?A, thus increasing the battery life of the product. For ease-of-use, all the features of the AD7170 are controlled by dedicated pins. Each time a data read occurs, eight status bits are appended to the 12-bit conversion. These status bits contain a pattern sequence that can be used to confirm the validity of the serial transfer. The output data rate of the AD7170 is 125 Hz, whereas the settling time is 24 ms. The AD7170 has one differential input and a gain of 1. This is useful in applications where the user needs to use an external amplifier to implement system-specific filtering or gain requirements. The AD7170 operates with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. It is available in a 10-lead LFCSP package. The AD7171 is a 16-bit version of the AD7170. It has the same feature set as the AD7170 and is pin-for-pin compatible.INTERFACE 2-wire serial (read-only device) SPI compatible Schmitt trigger on SCLKAPPLICATIONS Pressure measurement Industrial process control Portable instrumentation

EVAL-AD607EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD607 is a 3 V low power receiver IF subsystem for operation at input frequencies as high as 500 MHz and IFs from 400 kHz to 12 MHz. It consists of a mixer, IF amplifiers, I and Q demodulators, a phase-locked quadrature oscillator, and a biasing system with external power-down. The AD607?s low noise, high intercept mixer is a doubly balanced Gilbert cell type. It has a nominal ?15 dBm input referred 1 dB compression point and a ?8 dBm input referred third order intercept. The mixer section of the AD607 also includes a local oscillator (LO) preamplifier, which lowers the required LO drive to ?16 dBm. In MGC operation, the AD607 accepts an external gain-control voltage input from an external AGC detector or a DAC.The I and Q demodulators provide in-phase and quadrature baseband outputs to interface with Analog Devices? AD7013 (IS54, TETRA, MSAT) and AD7015 (GSM) baseband converters. A quadrature VCO phase-locked to the IF drives the I and Q demodulators. The I and Q demodulators can also demodulate AM; when the AD607?s quadrature VCO is phase-locked to the received signal, the in-phase demodulator becomes a synchronous product detector for AM. The VCO can also be phase-locked to an external beat-frequency oscillator (BFO), and the demodulator serves as a product detector for CW or SSB reception. Finally, the AD607 can be used to demodulate BPSK using an external Costas Loop for carrier recovery.APPLICATIONS GSM, CDMA, TDMA, and TETRA Receivers Satellite Terminals Battery-Powered Communications Receivers

The AD7414/AD7415 are complete temperature monitoring systems in 6-lead and 5-lead SOT-23 packages. They contain a band gap temperature sensor and a 10-bit ADC to monitor and digitize the temperature reading to a resolution of 0.25?C.The AD7414/AD7415 provide a 2-wire serial interface that is compatible with SMBus and I2C interfaces. The parts come in four versions: the AD7414/AD7415-0, AD7414/AD7415-1, AD7414-2, and AD7414-3. The AD7414/AD7415-0 and AD7414/AD7415-1 versions provide a choice of three different SMBus addresses for each version. All four AD7414 versions give the possibility of eight different I2C addresses while the two AD7415 versions allow up to six I2C addresses to be used. The AD7414/AD7415?s 2.7 V supply voltage, low supply current, serial interface, and small package size make them ideal for a variety of applications, including personal computers, office equipment, cellular phones, and domestic appliances. In the AD7414, on-chip registers can be programmed with high and low temperature limits, and an open-drain overtemperature indicator output (ALERT) becomes active when a programmed?limit is exceeded. A configuration register allows programming of the state of the ALERT output (active high or active low). This output can be used as an interrupt or as an SMBus alert.Applications Hard disk drives Personal computers Electronic test equipment Office equipment Domestic appliances Process control Cellular phones
