The LTC1799 is a precision oscillator that is easy to use and occupies very little PC board space. The oscillator frequency is programmed by a single external resistor (RSET). The LTC1799 has been designed for high accuracy operation (?1.5% frequency error) without the need for external trim components.The LTC1799 operates with a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply and provides a rail-to-rail, 50% duty cycle square wave output. The CMOS output driver ensures fast rise/fall times and rail-to-rail switching. The frequency-setting resistor can vary from 3k to 1M to select a master oscillator frequency between 100kHz and 33MHz (5V supply). The three-state DIV input determines whether the master clock is divided by 1, 10 or 100 before driving the output, providing three frequency ranges spanning 1kHz to 33MHz (5V supply). Demonstration circuit DC1259A is a single-battery battery- backup controller featuring the LTC4110. The LTC4110 controller provides all the features and functions to offer a complete standalone battery-backup system. The LTC4110 is a multi-chemistry flyback battery charger and discharger that is scalable with other LTC4110s to allow a larger battery array for increased capacity and/or redundancy. The demo board requires a 12V input voltage and is initially configured to charge a 3 Li-Ion Smart Battery at 1A; the charge voltage is 12.6V. However, the Demo board can be easily configured for a standard battery as well. A SMBus interface is offered to allow host communications in control and status and/or support Smart Batteries. However, no host is required to use the LTC4110.

The ADP1864 is a compact, inexpensive, constant-frequency current-mode step-down dc-to-dc controller. The ADP1864 drives a P-channel MOSFET that regulates an output voltage as low as 0.8 V with ?2% accuracy, for up to 5 A load currents, from input voltages as high as 14 V.The ADP1864 provides system flexibility by allowing accurate setting of the current limit with an external resistor, and the output voltage is easily adjustable using two external resistors. The ADP1864 includes an internal soft start to allow quick power-up while preventing input inrush current. Additional safety features include short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and input undervoltage protection. Current-mode control provides fast and stable load transient performance, while the 580 kHz operating frequency allows a small inductor to be used in the system. The ADM8611 /?ADM8612?/?ADM8613?/?ADM8614?/?ADM8615?are voltage supervisory circuits that monitor power supply voltage levels and code execution integrity in microprocessor-based systems. Apart from providing power-on reset signals, an on-chip watchdog timer can reset the microprocessor if it fails to strobe within a preset timeout period. A reset signal can also be asserted by an external push-button through a manual reset input.The ultralow power consumption of these devices makes them suitable for power efficiency sensitive systems, such as battery-powered portable devices and energy meters.The features of each member of the device family are shown in Table 9 in the data sheet. Each device subdivides into submodels with differences in factory preset voltage monitoring threshold options. In the range of 2 V to 4.63 V, 10 options are available for the ADM8611. In the range of 2.32 V to 4.63 V, five options are available for both the ADM8613 and ADM8614. A separate supply input allows the ADM8612 and ADM8615 to monitor 20 different low voltage levels from 0.5 V to 1.9 V. Not all device options are available as standard models.The ADM8611, ADM8612, ADM8613, and ADM8615 can reset on demand through the manual reset input. The watchdog function on the ADM8613, ADM8614, and ADM8615 monitors the heartbeat of the microprocessor through the WDI pin. The ADM8613 and ADM8614 have a watchdog disable input, which allows the user to disable the watchdog function, if required.
