The ADAU1442?/ ADAU1445?/ ADAU1446 are enhanced audio processors that allow full flexibility in routing all input and output signals. The SigmaDSP? core features full 28-bit processing (56-bit in double-precision mode), synchronous parameter loading for ensuring filter stability, and 100% code efficiency with the SigmaStudio? tools. This DSP allows system designers to compensate for the real-world limitations of speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments, resulting in a dramatic improvement of the perceived audio quality through speaker equalization, multiband compression, limiting, and third-party branded algorithms.The flexible audio routing matrix (FARM) allows the user to multiplex inputs from multiple sources running at various sample rates to or from the SigmaDSP core. This drastically reduces the complexity of signal routing and clocking issues in the audio system. FARM includes up to eight stereo asynchronous sample rate converters (depending on the device model), Sony/Philips Digital Interconnect Format (S/PDIF) input and output, and serial (I2S) and time division multiplexing (TDM) I/Os. Any of these inputs can be routed to the SigmaDSP core or to any of the asynchronous sample rate converters (ASRCs). Similarly, any one of the output signals can be taken from the SigmaDSP core or from any of the ASRC outputs. This routing scheme, which can be modified at any time via control registers, allows for maximum system flexibility.The ADAU1442, ADAU1445, and ADAU1446 differ only in ASRC functionality and packaging. The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 contain 16 channels of ASRCs and are packaged in TQFP packages, whereas the ADAU1446 contains no ASRCs and is packaged in an LQFP. The ADAU1442 can handle nine clock domains, the ADAU1445 can handle three clock domains, and the ADAU1446 can handle one clock domain.The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 / ADAU1446 can be controlled in one of two operational modes: the settings of the chip can be loaded and dynamically updated through the SPI/I2C? port, or the DSP can self-boot from an external EEPROM in a system with no microcontroller. There is also a bank of multipurpose (MP) pins that can be used as general-purpose digital I/Os or as inputs to the 4-channel auxiliary control ADC.The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 / ADAU1446 are supported by the SigmaStudio graphical development environment. Demonstration circuit 1812A (Figure 1) features the LTC2943. The LTC2943 has an operating range of 3.6V to 20V making it perfectly suited for multicell battery applications. A precision analog coulomb counter integrates current measured through a sense resistor between the battery’s positive terminal and the load or charger. The default value assembled on the DC1812A-A is 100mΩ for a maximum current measurement of 500mA. The LTC2943 measures voltage, current and temperature with an internal 14-bit No Latency ΔΣ™ ADC. The measurements are stored in internal registers accessible via the onboard SMBus/I2C interface.

The LT3798 is a constant-voltage/constant-current isolated flyback controller that combines active power factor correction (PFC) with no opto-coupler required for output voltage feedback into a single-stage converter. A LT3798 based design can achieve a power factor of greater than 0.97 by actively modulating the input current, allowing compliance with most Harmonic Current Emission requirements.The LT3798 is well suited for a wide variety of off-line applications. The input range can be scaled up or down, depending mainly on the choice of external components. Efficiencies higher than 86% can be achieved with output power levels up to 100W. The demo board input range is 12V to 60V, therefore, the demo board utilizes 80V MOSFETs. If an application has a maximum input voltage of 48V, 60V MOSFETs such as BSC100N06LS3, can be used for better efficiency at lower voltage range.

The LT3995 is an adjustable frequency monolithic buck switching regulator that accepts a wide input voltage range up to 60V. Low quiescent current design consumes only 2.7?A of supply current while regulating with no load. Low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output currents while keeping the output ripple below 15mV in a typical application. The LT3995 can supply up to 3A of load current and has current limit foldback to limit power dissipation during short circuit. A low dropout voltage of 500mV is maintained when the input voltage drops below the programmed output voltage, such as during automotive cold crank.An internally compensated current mode topology is used for fast transient response and good loop stability. A high efficiency 85m? switch is included on the die along with a boost Schottky diode and the necessary oscillator, control, and logic circuitry. An accurate 1.02V threshold enable pin can be driven directly from a microcontroller or used as a programmable undervoltage lockout. A capacitor on the SS pin provides a controlled inrush current (soft-start). A power good flag signals when VOUT reaches 91.6% of the programmed output voltage. Demonstration circuit 1855A is a dual, micropower, low noise and low dropout voltage linear regulator featuring the LT3030. The input voltages are independent for each channel of DC1855A and can range from 2.2V to 20V. Each channel has a jumper that sets the output voltage to either 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V or a voltage that is user-programmed by the installation of a resistor. For channel 1 and channel 2, the maximum output currents are 750mA and 250mA and the ceramic output capacitors are 22μF and 10μF respectively. The internal reference of each channel is bypassed with a 10nF capacitor for reduced output noise. Each channel has a jumper for shutdown and a terminal for PWRGD that is pulled up to the input supply. A resistor divider can be easily added that allows precise lockout at low input voltages.
