The LTC1474/LTC1475 series are high efficiency step-down converters with internal P-channel MOSFET power switches that draw only 10?A typical DC supply current at no load while maintaining output voltage. The LTC1474 uses logic-controlled shutdown while the LTC1475 features pushbutton on/off.The low supply current coupled with Burst Mode? operation enables the LTC1474/LTC1475 to maintain high efficiency over a wide range of loads. These features, along with their capability of 100% duty cycle for low dropout and wide input supply range, make the LTC1474/LTC1475 ideal for moderate current (up to 300mA) battery-powered applications. The peak switch current is user-programmable with an optional sense resistor (defaults to 325mA minimum if not used) providing a simple means for optimizing the design for lower current applications. The peak current control also provides short-circuit protection and excellent start-up behavior. A low-battery detector that remains functional in shutdown is provided. The LTC1474/LTC1475 series availability in 8-lead MSOP and SO packages and need for few additional components provide for a minimum area solution.Applications Cellular Telephones and Wireless Modems 4mA to 20mA Current Loop Step-Down Converter Portable Instruments Battery-Operated Digital Devices Battery Chargers Inverting Converters Intrinsic Safety Applications

ADP5091-2-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP5091/ADP5092 are intelligent, integrated energy harvesting, ultralow power management unit (PMU) solutions that convert dc power from PV cells or TEGs. These devices charge storage elements such as rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, thin film batteries, super capacitors, or conventional capacitors, and power up small electronic devices and battery free systems. The ADP5091/ADP5092 provide efficient conversion of the harvested limited power from a 6 ?W to 600 mW range with submicrowatt operation losses. With the internal cold start circuit, the regulator can start operating at an input voltage as low as 380 mV. After cold startup, the regulator is functional at an input voltage range of 0.08 V to 3.3 V. An additional 150 mA regulated output can be programmed by an external resistor divider or the VID pin.The MPPT control keeps the input voltage ripple in a fixed range to maintain stable dc-to-dc boost conversion. The dynamic sensing mode and no sensing mode, both programming regulation points of the input voltage, allow extraction of the highest possible energy from the harvester. A programmable minimum operation threshold enables boost shutdown during a low input condition. As a low light indicator for a microprocessor, the LLD pin of the ADP5091 is the MINOP comparator output. However, the REG_GOOD flag of the ADP5092 monitors the REG_OUT voltage. In addition, the DIS_SW pin can temporarily shut down the boost regulator and is RF transmission friendly. The charging control function of the ADP5091/ADP5092 protects the rechargeable energy storage, which is achieved by monitoring the battery voltage with the programmable charging termination voltage and the shutdown discharging voltage. In addition, a programmable PGOOD flag monitors the SYS voltage. An optional primary cell battery can be connected and managed by an integrated power path management control block that is programmable to switch the power source from the energy harvester, rechargeable battery, and primary cell battery. The ADP5091/ADP5092 are available in a 24-lead LFCSP and are rated for a ?40?C to +125?C temperature range.Applications Photovoltaic (PV) cell energy harvesting Thermoelectric generators (TEGs) energy harvesting Industrial monitoring Self powered wireless sensor devices Portable and wearable devices with energy harvesting

The LTC3787 is a high performance PolyPhase? single output synchronous boost converter controller that drives two N-channel power MOSFET stages out-of-phase. Multiphase operation reduces input and output capacitor requirements and allows the use of smaller inductors than the single-phase equivalent. Synchronous rectification increases efficiency, reduces power losses and eases thermal requirements, enabling high power boost applications. A 4.5V to 38V input supply range encompasses a wide range of system architectures and battery chemistries. When biased from the output of the boost converter or another auxiliary supply, the LTC3787 can operate from an input supply as low as 2.5V after start-up. The operating frequency can be set for a 50kHz to 900kHz range or synchronized to an external clock using the internal PLL. PolyPhase operation allows the LTC3787 to be configured for 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- and 12-phase operation. The SS pin ramps the output voltage during start-up. The PLLIN/MODE pin selects Burst Mode? operation, pulse- skipping mode or forced continuous mode at light loads.Applications Industrial Automotive Medical Military?

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 1326A consists of three voltage regulators; a synchronous boost, a synchronous buck and a linear LDO. Jumpers are provided for selecting a total of nine output voltages (3 boost output voltages: 1.8V/3.3V/5V, 3 buck output voltages: 1.2V/1.5V/1.8V, and 3 LDO output voltages: 1.5V/2.85V/3V). The high efficiency DC/DC converters feature 700mA switches for the boost, 250mA for the buck and a 100mA rating for the LDO regulator. With a light load, the boost converter can startup with an input voltage as low as 700mV and once started, the input can go as low as 500mV while maintaining a regulated output. That maximum boost and buck input voltage is 5.5V. The buck converter requires 1.8V minimum input.

ADL5206-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5206 is a wide bandwidth, variable gain amplifier (VGA) with digital control (also known as a digital gain amplifier (DGA)) that provides precise gain control, high output third-order intercept (OIP3), and low noise figure over the entire gain range. The excellent OIP3 performance of 39.4 dBm (at 300MHz, 5 V supply, and maximum gain) makes the ADL5206 an excellent gain control device for a variety of receiver applications. For wide input dynamic range applications, the ADL5206 provides a broad 2 dB to 32 dB gain range with a 1 dB step size. The gain is adjustable through multiple gain control and interface options: parallel, serial peripheral interface (SPI), or gain step-up and step-down controls. The ADL5206 can be powered up independently by applying the appropriate logic level to the PWUP pin. The quiescent current of the ADL5206 is typically 112 mA with a 5 V supply. When disabled, the ADL5206 consumes only 8 mA and offers excellent input to output isolation. The gain setting is preserved when the device is disabled. Fabricated on the Analog Devices, Inc., high speed, silicon germanium (SiGe), bipolar complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (BiCMOS) process, the ADL5206 provides precise gain adjustment capabilities with good distortion performance. The ADL5206 amplifier comes in a compact, thermally enhanced, 4 mm ? 4 mm, 20-lead LFCSP and operates over the temperature range of ?40?C to +85?C. Note that throughout the data sheet, multifunction pins, such as CS/GS1/D3, are referred to by the entire pin name or by a single function of the pin.
