The AD8337 is a low noise, single-ended, linear-in-dB, general-purpose variable gain amplifier (VGA) usable at frequencies from dc to 100 MHz; the ?3 dB bandwidth is 280 MHz. Excellent bandwidth uniformity across the entire gain range and low output-referred noise makes the AD8337 ideal for gain trim applications and for driving high speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).Excellent dc characteristics combined with high speed make the AD8337 particularly suited for industrial ultrasound, PET scanners, and video applications. Dual-supply operation enables gain control of negative-going pulses such as generated by photodiodes or photomultiplier tubes.The AD8337 uses the popular and versatile X-AMP? architecture, exclusively from Analog Devices, Inc., with a gain range of 24 dB. The gain control interface provides precise linear-in-dB scaling of 19.7 dB/V, referenced to VCOM.The AD8337 includes an uncommitted operational current-feedback preamplifier (PrA) that operates in inverting or noninverting configurations. Using external resistors, the device can be configured for gains of 6 dB or greater. The AD8337 is characterized by a noninverting PrA gain of 2? using two external 100 ? resistors. The attenuator has a range of 24 dB, and the output amplifier has a fixed gain of 8? (18.06 dB). The lowest nominal gain range is 0 dB to 24 dB and can be shifted up or down by adjusting the preamp gain. Multiple AD8337s can be connected in series for larger gain ranges, and for interstage filtering to suppress noise and distortion, and for nulling offset voltages.The operating temperature range is ?40?C to +85?C, and it is available in an 8-lead, 3 mm ? 3 mm LFCSP.Applications Gain trim PET scanners High performance AGC systems I/Q signal processing Video Industrial and medical ultrasound Radar receivers

Highest Performance, Low EMI Evaluation Board for LT8357

Evaluation circuit EVAL-LT8357-AZ features the LT8357 as a 200kHz low EMI and low IQ, boost controller with a 24V output from 4.5V to 20V input. This evaluation circuit features Spread Spectrum Frequency Modulation (SSFM) and EMI filters to provide optimum EMI performance. The board also contains placeholders and an outline to attach clips for an optional EMI Shield attachment. This application circuit can output 2A (see Figure 4 Maximum Output Current vs VIN curve in the user guide). When placed in shutdown, the converter has very low quiescent current, ideal in automotive and other battery-powered applications. PULSE SKIP and BURST modes are selectable with jumper JP1. Each user-selectable option enables low quiescent current at light load and can also be combined with SSFM operation using JP1.
The LT8357 boost controller IC operates over an input range of 3V to 60V, suitable for automotive, telecom and industrial applications. It exhibits a low quiescent current of 8μA, making it ideal for battery-operated systems. It drives a low side N-channel power MOSFET with a 5V split gate drive. The converter provides adjustable and synchronizable operation from 100kHz to 2MHz with SSFM option. At light load, either PULSE SKIP or low-ripple BURST mode can be selected to improve the efficiency. The LT8357 packs popular features such as soft-start, input undervoltage lockout, adjustable switching frequency and clock synchronization. The Power Good (PGOOD) flag indicates when the output voltage is in regulation.

The ADBMS6816 is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to six series connected battery cells with a lifetime total measurement error (TME) of less than 1.5 mV. The cell measurement range of 0 V to 5 V makes the ADBMS6816 suitable for most battery chemistries. All six cells can be measured in 304 ?s, and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction.Multiple ADBMS6816 devices can be connected in series, permitting simultaneous cell monitoring of long, high voltage battery strings. Each ADBMS6816 has an isoSPI? interface for high speed, RF immune, long distance communications.Multiple devices are connected in a daisy chain with one host processor connection for all devices. This daisy chain can be operated bidirectionally, ensuring communication integrity even in the event of a fault along the communication path.The ADBMS6816 can be powered directly from the battery stack or from an isolated supply. The HMC1063LP3E is a compact I/Q MMIC mixer in a leadless ?Pb free? SMT package, which can be used as either an Image Reject Mixer or a Single Sideband Upconverter. The mixer utilizes two standard Hittite double balanced mixer cells and a 90 degree hybrid fabricated in a GaAs Schottky diode process. A low frequency quadrature hybrid was used to produce a 1000 MHz LSB IF output. This product is a much smaller alternative to hybrid style Image Reject Mixers and Single Sideband Upconverter assemblies.
