Demonstration circuit 1311 is a Telecom isolated DC/DC converter featuring the LTC3805/-5 constant frequency current mode flyback controller. The DC1311 converts an 18V to 72V input voltage to an isolated 3A of output current at 3.3V. The 300kHz constant frequency operation is maintained down to very light load to reduce low frequency noise generated over a wide range of load current. The converter provides high output voltage accuracy (typically ±2%) over wide load range with no minimum load requirement. The DC1311 also provides non-isolated design by removing opto coupler and LTC4430 circuit. The demonstration circuit can be easily modified to generate different output voltages up to 15V.

It is capable of operating within USB power specifications.Both programmable time and programmable current based termination schemes are available. Furthermore, the CHRG open-drain status pin can be programmed to indicate the battery charge state according to the needs of the application. Additional safety features designed to maximize battery lifetime and reliability include NTC battery temperature sensing and the SmartStart charging algorithm.No external sense resistor or external blocking diode is required for charging due to the internal MOSFET architecture. Internal thermal feedback regulates the charge current to maintain a constant die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charge current is programmed with an external resistor. The ADN8835 is a monolithic TEC controller with an integrated TEC controller. It has a linear power stage, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) power stage, and two zero-drift, rail-to-rail chopper amplifiers. The linear controller works with the PWM driver to control the internal power MOSFETs in an H bridge configuration. By measuring the thermal sensor feedback voltage and using the integrated operational amplifiers as a proportional integral differential (PID) compensator to condition the signal, the ADN8835 drives current through a TEC to settle the temperature of a laser diode or a passive component attached to the TEC module to the programmed target temperature.The ADN8835 supports negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors as well as positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resistive temperature detectors (RTDs). The target temperature is set as an analog voltage input either from a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) or from an external resistor divider.The temperature control loop of the ADN8835 is stabilized by PID compensation utilizing the built in, zero-drift chopper amplifiers. The internal 2.50 V reference voltage provides a 1% accurate output that biases a thermistor temperature sensing bridge as well as a voltage divider network to program the maximum TEC current and voltage limits for both the heating and cooling modes. The AD7982 is an 18-bit, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD. The AD7982 contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, the AD7982 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN? pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing in opposite phases between 0 V and VREF. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. Its power scales linearly with throughput.The serial peripheral interface (SPI)-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. Demonstration circuit 534 is a fast transient response, very low dropout linear regulator featuring the 4A output current LT3150 linear regulator controller. The DC534 has an input voltage range of 1.1V to 10V and generates a jumper-selectable output voltage of 1.2V, 1.5V or 1.8V. With the LT3150 driving external N-channel MOSFETs as source followers, the DC534 can produce very fast transient response. The proper selection of the Rds(on) of the MOSFETs allows dropout voltages below 300 mV. These capabilities, plus its ability to maintain stable operation with ceramic output capacitors, make the DC534 voltage regulator ideally suited for low VIN-to-VOUT applications, such as microprocessor/microcontroller/FPGA power supplies.

The LTC1876 is a high performance triple output switching regulator. It incorporates a dual step-down switching controller that drives all N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stages. A step-up regulator with an internal 1A, 36V switch provides the third output.The step-down controllers minimize power loss and noise by operating the output stage of each controller out of phase. OPTI-LOOP compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. A RUN/SS pin for each controller provides both soft-start and an optional timed, short-circuit shutdown that can be configured to latch offone or both controllers. Current foldback provides additional short-circuit protection. In an overvoltage condition, the bottom MOSFET is latched on until VOUT returns to normal. The FCB pin can be used to inhibit Burst Mode operation or to enable regulation of a secondary output voltage.The step-up regulator operates at 1.2MHz, allowing the use of tiny low cost capacitors and inductors. In addition,its internal 1A switch allows high current outputs to be generated.
