The AD9761 is a complete dual channel, high speed, 10-bitCMOS DAC. The AD9761 has been developed specifically foruse in wide bandwidth communication applications (e.g., spreadspectrum) where digital I and Q information is being processedduring transmit operations. It integrates two 10-bit, 40 MSPSDACs, dual 2x interpolation filters, a voltage reference, anddigital input interface circuitry. The AD9761 supports a20 MSPS per channel input data rate that is then interpolatedby 2x up to 40 MSPS before simultaneously updating eachDAC.The interleaved I and Q input data stream is presented to thedigital interface circuitry, which consists of I and Q latches as wellas some additional control logic. The data is de-interleaved backinto its original I and Q data. An on-chip state machine ensures theproper pairing of I and Q data. The data output from each latch isthen processed by a 2x digital interpolation filter that eases thereconstruction filter requirements. The interpolated output of eachfilter serves as the input of their respective 10-bit DAC.The DACs utilize a segmented current source architecture combinedwith a proprietary switching technique to reduce glitchenergy and to maximize dynamic accuracy. Each DAC providesdifferential current output thus supporting single-ended ordifferential applications. Both DACs are simultaneously updatedand provide a nominal full-scale current of 10 mA. Also,the full-scale currents between each DAC are matched to within0.07 dB (i.e., 0.75%), thus eliminating the need for additionalgain calibration circuitry.The AD9761 is manufactured on an advanced low cost CMOSprocess. It operates from a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V andconsumes 200 mW of power. Single 10-Bit Digital Input Bus The AD9761 features a flexible digital interface that allows each DAC to be addressed in a variety of ways including different update rates. Small Package The AD9761 offers the complete integrated function in a compact 28-lead SSOP package. The ADATE320 is a complete, single-chip ATE solution that performs the pin electronics functions of a driver, comparator, and active load (DCL), and a four quadrant per pin parametric measurement unit (PPMU). Dedicated 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with on-chip calibration registers provide all the necessary dc levels for operation of the device.The driver features three active modes: high, low, and terminate, as well as a high impedance inhibit state. The inhibit state, in conjunction with the integrated dynamic clamps, facilitates significant attenuation of transmission line reflections when the driver is not actively terminating the line. The open-circuit drive capability is ?1.5 V to +4.5 V to accommodate a standard range of ATE and instrumentation applications.The ADATE320 can be used as a dual, single-ended pin electronics channel or as a single differential channel. In addition to per channel high speed window comparators, the ADATE320 provides a programmable threshold differential comparator for differential ATE applications.All dc levels for DCL and PPMU functions are generated by dedicated, on-chip, 16-bit DACs. To facilitate the programming of accurate levels, the ADATE320 includes an integrated calibration function to correct for the gain and offset errors of each functional block. Correction coefficients can be stored on chip, and any values written to the DACs adjust automatically using the appropriate correction factors.The ADATE320 uses a serial programmable interface (SPI) bus to program all functional blocks, DACs, and on-chip calibration constants. It also has an on-chip temperature sensor and overvolt-age/undervoltage fault clamps that monitor and report the device temperature and any output pin or transient PPMU voltage faults that may occur during operation.The ADATE320 is available in two options. The ADuC7124/ADuC7126 is a fully integrated, 1 MSPS, 12-bit data acquisition systems incorporating high performance multichannel ADCs, 16-bit/32-bit MCUs, and Flash/EE memory on a single chip.The ADC consists of up to 12 single-ended inputs. An additional four inputs are available but are multiplexed with the four DAC output pins. The ADC can operate in single-ended or differential input modes. The ADC input voltage is 0 V to VREF. A low drift band gap reference, temperature sensor, and voltage comparator complete the ADC peripheral set. The DAC output range is programmable to one of three voltage ranges. The DAC outputs have an enhanced feature of being able to retain their output voltage during a watchdog or software reset sequence.The devices operate from an on-chip oscillator and a PLL generating an internal high frequency clock of 41.78 MHz. This clock is routed through a programmable clock divider from which the MCU core clock operating frequency is generated. The microcontroller core is an ARM7TDMI?, 16-bit/32-bit RISC machine, which offers up to 41 MIPS peak performance. Thirty-two kilobytes of SRAM and 126 kB of nonvolatile Flash/EE memory are provided on-chip. The ARM7TDMI core views all memory and registers as a single linear array.The ADuC7124 contains an advanced interrupt controller. The vectored interrupt controller (VIC) allows every interrupt to be assigned a priority level. It also supports nested interrupts to a maximum level of eight per IRQ and FIQ. When IRQ and FIQ interrupt sources are combined, a total of 16 nested interrupt levels are supported.On-chip factory firmware supports in-circuit download via the UART serial interface port or the I2C port, while nonintrusive emulation is also supported via the JTAG interface. These features are incorporated into a low cost QuickStart? Development System supporting this MicroConverter? family. The part contains a 16-bit PWM with six output signals. For communication purposes, the part contains 2?I2C channels that can be individually configured for Master or Slave mode. An SPI interface supporting both master and slave modes is also provided. Thirdly, 2?UART channels are provided. Each UART contains a configurable 16-bit FIFO with the receive and transmit buffers.The parts operate from 2.7 V to 3.6 V and are specified over an industrial temperature range of ?40?C to +125?C. When operating at 41.78 MHz, the power dissipation is typically 120 mW.
