Demonstration circuit 1881A is a high efficiency synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter with 6V to 36V input range. It can supply 2.5A maximum load current at 12V output. The demo board features the LTC3789EUFD controller. The constant-frequency current mode architecture allows a phase-lockable frequency of up to 600kHz, while an optional output current feedback loop provides support for applications such as battery charging. With a wide input range, wide output range and seamless transfers between operation modes, the LTC3789 is ideal for automotive, telecom, distributed DC power systems and battery-powered applications. This board has a compact solution size with dual SO-8 MOSFETs, small inductor and capacitor footprints. The package of LTC3789EUFD is a small, low thermal impedance 4mm × 5mm 28-Lead QFN.

The LTC2404/LTC2408 are 4-/8-channel 2.7V to 5.5V micropower 24-bit A/D converters with an integrated oscillator, 4ppm INL and 0.3ppm RMS noise. The first conversion after the channel is changed is always valid. The LTC1773 is a current mode synchronous buck regulator controller that drives external complementary power MOSFETs using a fixed frequency architecture. The operating supply range is from 2.65V to 8.5V, making it suitable for 1- or 2-cell lithium-ion battery powered applications. Burst Mode? operation provides high efficiency at low load currents. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation which extends operating time in battery-operated systems.The operating frequency is internally set at 550kHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors. DC2785A-B has an operating input voltage range of 2.7V to 17V and can provide an output current of up to 1.2A. The output voltage can be programmed from 1.8V up to 5V. The LTM4668A is a complete DC/DC point of load regulator in a thermally enhanced 6.25mm × 6.25mm × 2.1mm BGA package requiring only a few input and output capacitors. External clock synchronization is available through the CLKIN turret. The LTM4668A data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for working on or modifying demo circuit 2785A-B.
