The ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ and the ADP8861SHIELD-EVALZ incorporate light emitting diodes (LEDs) for quick and easy evaluation of the ADP8860 and the ADP8861. Note that only the ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ has dual light intensity sensors. The ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ and the ADP8861SHIELD-EVALZ follow the form factor of a regular Arduino® shield to allow compatibility with microcontroller boards that use the same interface. These evaluation boards also incorporate a separate header dedicated to I2C communications. The ADP8860 and the ADP8861 are 7-channel LED drivers that utilizes a charge pump with selective gain for maximum efficiency. The LEDs driven by either device are programmable for maximum current and fade in and out times via the I2C interface. Only the ADP8860 has a programable light intensity threshold that can be set via the I2C interface of the device. Each channel can handle up to 30 mA (typical), except for the seventh channel, which can handle 60 mA (typical). Each channel can be unified to have the same fade in time and fade out time, or each channel can have an individual fade in time and fade out time for greater flexibility. The AD5932 is a waveform generator offering a programmable frequency scan. Utilizing embedded digital processing that allows enhanced frequency control, the device generates synthesized analog or digital frequency-stepped waveforms. Because frequency profiles are preprogrammed, continuous write cycles are eliminated, thereby freeing up valuable DSP/microcontroller resources. Waveforms start from a known phase and are incremented phase-continuously, which allows phase shifts to be easily determined. Consuming only 6.7 mA, the AD5932 provides a convenient low power solution to waveform generation.The AD5932 outputs each frequency in the range of interest for a defined length of time and then steps to the next frequency in the scan range. The length of time the device outputs a particular frequency is preprogrammed, and the device increments the frequency automatically; or, alternatively, the frequency is incremented externally via the CTRL pin. At the end of the range, the AD5932 continues to output the last frequency until the device is reset. Demonstration circuit 1254A is a polyphase 3-output step-down supply with tracking featuring the LTC3853EUJ. The input voltage range is 6.5V to 24V. For applications with narrow, 5V ±0.5V input range, the board has an optional resistor to tie the INTVCC pin to the VIN pin. The demo board provides three 5A outputs, with output voltages of 2.5V, 1.8V and 3.3V. The main features of the board include rail tracking, an internal 5V linear regulator for bias, RUN pins for each output, two PGOOD signals and a Mode selector that allow the converter to run in CCM, pulse skip or Burst Mode operation. Synchronization to an external clock is also possible through some minor component changes.

The ADF7024 is suitable for operation under the European ETSI EN 300-220 regulation, the North American FCC Part 15 regulation, and other similar regulatory standards.The ADF7024 can operate under a number of predefined radio profiles. For each radio profile, optimized register settings are provided for the ADF7024 radio. This ensures that the RF communication layer works seamlessly, allowing the user to concentrate on the protocol and system level design and prototyping. The radio profiles cover common data rate and modulation options.
