The ADP1031 is a high performance, isolated micropowermanagement unit (PMU) that combines an isolated flybackdc-to-dc regulator, an inverting dc-to-dc regulator, and abuck dc-to-dc regulator, providing three isolated power rails.Additionally, the ADP1031 contains four, high speed, serialperipheral interface (SPI) isolation channels and three general-purpose isolators for channel to channel applications where lowpower dissipation and small solution size is required.Operating over an input voltage range of +4.5 V to +60 V, theADP1031 generates isolated output voltages of +6 V to +28 V(adjustable version) or+ 21 V and +24 V (fixed versions) forVOUT1, factory programmable voltages of +5.15 V, +5.0 V, or+3.3 V for VOUT2, and an adjustable output voltages of ?24 V to?5 V for VOUT3.By default, the ADP1031 flyback regulator operates at a 250 kHzswitching frequency and the buck and inverting regulators operateat 125 kHz. All three regulators are phase shifted relative to eachother to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The LT3029 is a dual, micropower, low noise, low dropout linear regulator. The device operates either with a common input supply or independent input supplies for each channel, over an input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V. Each output supplies up to 500mA of output current with a typical dropout voltage of 300mV. Quiescent current is well controlled in dropout. With an external 10nF bypass capacitor, output noise is only 20?VRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth. Designed for use in battery-powered systems, the low 55?A quiescent current per channel makes it an ideal choice. In shutdown, quiescent current drops to less than 1?A. Shutdown control is independent for each channel, allowing for flexible power management.The LT3029 optimizes stability and transient response with low ESR ceramic output capacitors, requiring a minimum of only 3.3?F. The regulator does not require the addition of ESR, as is common with other regulators.Internal circuitry provides reverse-battery protection, reverse-current protection, current limiting with foldback and thermal shutdown. The device is available as an adjustable output voltage device with a 1.215V reference voltage. Demonstration circuit DC2343A is a complete system level solution for a nanopower buck-boost DC/DC with integrated coulomb counter. The DC2343A contains a PIC16F1459 embedded processor for communication to the PC over USB and the LTC3335 via its I2C port. The GUI is capable of reading and writing all the control registers on the LTC3335 as well as displaying and resetting all its alarm registers. The firmware and software for the embedded system and the GUI are available at the LTC3335 solutions page. The DC2343A uses two analog-to-digital converter channels to sample the battery and output voltages. The voltage samples improve the functionality of the GUI, and allow optimal software correction to the measured coulombs. By adding the software correction the first order known errors are compensated for over the operating range and the resultant coulomb count is accurate to within 3%.

The LTC2356-12/LTC2356-14 are 12-bit/14-bit, 3.5Msps serial ADCs with differential inputs. The devices draw only 5.5mA from a single 3.3V supply and come in a tiny 10-lead MSOP package. A Sleep shutdown feature further reduces power consumption to 13?W. The combination of speed, low power and tiny package makes the LTC2356-12/LTC2356-14 suitable for high speed, portable applications.The 80dB common mode rejection allows users to eliminate ground loops and common mode noise by measuring signals differentially from the source.The devices convert ?1.25V to 1.25V bipolar inputs differentially. The absolute voltage swing for AIN+ and AIN? extends from ground to the supply voltage.The serial interface sends out the conversion results during the 16 clock cycles following a CONV rising edge for compatibility with standard serial interfaces. If two additional clock cycles for acquisition time are allowed after the data stream in between conversions, the full sampling rate of 3.5Msps can be achieved with a 63MHz clock.
