The ADP5585 is a 10I/O port expander with built-in keypad matrix decoder, programmable logic, reset generator, and PWM generator. I/O expander ICs are used in portable devices (phones, remote controls, & cameras) and non-portable applications (healthcare, industrial & instrumentation). I/O expanders can be used to increase the number of I/Os available to a processor or to reduce the number of I/Os required through interface connectors for front panel designs.The ADP5585 handles all key scanning and decoding and can flag the main processor via an interrupt line that new key events have occurred. GPI changes and logic changes can also be tracked as events via the FIFO, eliminating the need to monitor different registers for event changes. The ADP5585 is equipped with a FIFO to store up to 16 events. Demonstration circuit 649 is a Telecom isolated DC/DC converter featuring the LTC3803 constant frequency current mode flyback controller. The DC649 converts an isolated 36V to 72V input and provides 2A of output current at 5V. The 200kHz constant frequency operation is maintained down to very light load to reduce low frequency noise generated over a wide range of load current. The converter provides high output voltage accuracy (typically ±2%) over wide load range with no minimum load requirement.

The HMC858LC4B is a 2:1 Selector designed to sup-port data transmission rates of up to 14 Gbps, and selector port operation of up to 14 GHz. The selector routes one of the two differential inputs to the differential output upon assertion of the proper select port. The HMC858LC4B also features an output level control pin, VR, which allows for loss compensation or for signal level optimization.All differential input signals to the HMC858LC4B are terminated with 50 ohms to ground on-chip, and may be either AC or DC coupled. The outputs of the HMC858LC4B may be operated either differentially or single-ended. Outputs can be connected directly to a 50 ohm terminated system, while DC blocking capacitors may be used if the terminating system is 50 ohms to a non-ground DC voltage. Demonstration circuit 2307A is a high input voltage protected high side MOSFET driver featuring the LT1910ES8. This demo board has a wide input voltage range from 8V to 48V and is capable of protecting a voltage source against a short circuit. The LT1910 has a 50mV trip point for the selection of the current sense resistor RS1. The value of RS1 is 0.01Ω in this demo board which allows the output to deliver up to 5A. However, the RS1 footprint supports multiple sizes and can be replaced with up to a 2W device.

The constant-frequency, current mode architecture allows a phase-lockable frequency of up to 600kHz, while an output current feedback loop provides support for battery charging. Demonstration circuit 2094A shows the proper way to drive the LTC®2348 family of ADCs. The LTC2348/LTC2347/LTC2343 are low noise, high speed, simultaneous sampling 16-/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs. The demo manual refers to the LTC2348-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2348-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.

The SigmaDSP? core features full 28-bit processing (56-bit in double-precision mode), synchronous parameter loading for ensuring filter stability, and 100% code efficiency with the SigmaStudio? tools. This DSP allows system designers to compensate for the real-world limitations of speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments, resulting in a dramatic improvement of the perceived audio quality through speaker equalization, multiband compression, limiting, and third-party branded algorithms.The flexible audio routing matrix (FARM) allows the user to multiplex inputs from multiple sources running at various sample rates to or from the SigmaDSP core. This drastically reduces the complexity of signal routing and clocking issues in the audio system. FARM includes up to eight stereo asynchronous sample rate converters (depending on the device model), Sony/ Philips Digital Interconnect Format (S/PDIF) input and output, and serial (I2S) and time division multiplexing (TDM) I/Os. Any of these inputs can be routed to the SigmaDSP core or to any of the asynchronous sample rate converters (ASRCs). Similarly, any one of the output signals can be taken from the SigmaDSP core or from any of the ASRC outputs. This routing scheme, which can be modified at any time via control registers, allows for maximum system flexibility.The ADAU1442, ADAU1445, and ADAU1446 differ only in ASRC functionality and packaging. The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 contain 16 channels of ASRCs and are packaged in TQFP packages, whereas the ADAU1446 contains no ASRCs and is packaged in an LQFP. The ADAU1442 can handle nine clock domains, the ADAU1445 can handle three clock domains, and the ADAU1446 can handle one clock domain.The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 / ADAU1446?can be controlled in one of two operational modes: the settings of the chip can be loaded and dynamically updated through the SPI/I2C? port, or the DSP can self-boot from an external EEPROM in a system with no microcontroller.
