The LTC4365 protects applications where power supply input voltages may be too high, too low or even negative. It does this by controlling the gate voltages of a pair of external N-channel MOSFETs to ensure that the output stays within a safe operating range.The LTC4365 can withstand voltages between ?40V and 60V and has an operating range of 2.5V to 34V, while consuming only 125?A in normal operation.Two comparator inputs allow configuration of the overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) set points using an external resistive divider. A shutdown pin provides external control for enabling and disabling the MOSFETs as well as placing the device in a low current shutdown state. A fault output provides status of the gate pin pulling low. A fault is indicated when the part is in shutdown or the input voltage is outside the UV and OV set points.The LTC4365 has a 36ms turn-on delay that debounces live connections and blocks 50Hz to 60Hz AC power. The AD8432 is a dual-channel, low power, ultralow noiseamplifier with selectable gain and active impedance matching.Each channel has a single-ended input, differential output, andintegrated input clamps. By pin strapping the gain setting pins, four accurate gains of G = 12.04 dB, 18.06 dB, 21.58 dB, and 24.08 dB (?4, ?8, ?12, and ?16, respectively) are possible. A bandwidth of200 MHz at G = 12.04 dB makes this amplifier well suited for many high speed applications.The exceptional noise performance of the AD8432 is madepossible by the active impedance matching. Using a feedback network, the input impedance of the amplifiers can be adjusted to match the signal source impedance without compromising the noise performance. Impedance matching and low noise in the AD8432 allow designers to create wider dynamic rangesystems that are able to detect even very low level signals. The AD8432 achieves 0.85 nV/?Hz input-referred voltage noise fora gain of 12.04 dB. The AD8432?s ultralow noise, low distortion, gain accuracy, and channel-to-channel matching are ideal for high performance ultrasound systems and for processing I/Qdemodulator signals.The AD8432 operates on a single supply of 5 V at 24 mA. It isavailable in a 4 mm ? 4 mm, 24-lead LFSCP. The LFCSP featuresan exposed paddle that provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB, which enables more efficient heat transfer and increasesreliability. The ADuM4138 is a single-channel gate driver optimized for driving insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology provides isolation between the input signal and the output gate drive.The Analog Devices chip scale transformers also provide isolated communication of control information between the high voltage?and low voltage domains of the chip. Information on the status of the chip can be read back from the dedicated outputs. The ADuM4138 includes an isolated flyback controller, allowing simple secondary voltage generation.Overcurrent detection is integrated in the ADuM4138 to protect the IGBT in case of desaturation and/or overcurrent events. The overcurrent detection is coupled with a high speed, two-level turn off function in case of faults.The ADuM4138 provides a Miller clamp control signal for a metal-oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) to provide IGBT turn off, with a single rail supply when the Miller clamp voltage threshold drops below 2 V (typical) above GND2. Operation with unipolar secondary supplies is possible with or without the Miller clamp operation.A low gate voltage detection circuit can trigger a fault if the gate voltage does not rise above the internal threshold within the time allowed after turn on (12.8 ?s typical). The low voltage detection circuit detects IGBT device failures that exhibit gate shorts or other causes of weak drive.Two temperature sensor pins, TS1 and TS2, allow isolated monitoring of system temperatures at the IGBTs. The secondary undervoltage lockout (UVLO) is set to 11.2 V (typical) in accordance with common IGBT threshold levels.A serial peripheral interface (SPI) bus on the primary side of the device provides in field programming of temperature sensing diode gains and offsets to the ADuM4138. Values are stored on an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) located on the secondary side of the device.
