The LT3478/LT3478-1 are 4.5A step-up DC/DC converters designed to drive LEDs with a constant current over a wide programmable range. Series connection of the LEDs provides identical LED currents for uniform brightness without the need for ballast resistors and expensive factory calibration.The LT3478-1 reduces external component count and cost by integrating the LED current sense resistor. If the input voltage decreases towards the programmed output voltage, the LT3973 will start to skip switch-off times and decrease the switching frequency to maintain output regulation up to a maximum duty cycle of approximately 97.5%.

The ADuM4138 is a single-channel gate driver optimized for driving insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology provides isolation between the input signal and the output gate drive.The Analog Devices chip scale transformers also provide isolated communication of control information between the high voltage?and low voltage domains of the chip. Information on the status of the chip can be read back from the dedicated outputs. The ADuM4138 includes an isolated flyback controller, allowing simple secondary voltage generation.Overcurrent detection is integrated in the ADuM4138 to protect the IGBT in case of desaturation and/or overcurrent events.
