The LTC1923 is a pulse width modulator intended for thermoelectric cooler (TEC) or heater applications requiring either unidirectional or bidirectional drive circuits. All of the necessary control circuitry and two sets of complementary output drivers are integrated into the LTC1923 to drive a full bridge, providing an efficient means of bidirectional current flow to the TEC. An accurate temperature control loop to stabilize the temperature of a laser diode system is easily achieved with the addition of just a few external components. Typical temperature setpoint accuracy of 0.1?C is achievable with the LTC1923. Adding an instrumentation amplifier front end allows setpoint stability of 0.01?C.The part features independent adjustable heating and cooling pulse-by-pulse current limit, current soft-start for controlled start-up, output slew rate control to reduce system noise, differential current sense and voltage amplifiers and a host of auxiliary circuits to protect the laser and provide redundant system monitoring.Applications Laser-Based Fiber Optic Links Medical Instruments CPU Temperature Regulators

The?ADuM4470?/ ADuM4471 /?ADuM4472?/?ADuM4473?/?ADuM4474 are quad-channel, digital isolations with a regulated DC/DC isolated power supply controller with an internal MOSFET driver. The DC/DC controller has an internal isolated PWM feedback from the secondary side based on the iCoupler? chip scale transformer technology and complete loop compensation. This eliminates the need to use an optocoupler for feedback and compensates the loop for stability. The ADuM447x isolator provides a more stable output voltage and higher efficiency compared to?unregulated isolated dc-to-dc power supplies. The fully integrated feedback and loop compensation in a wide-body SOIC package provide a smaller form factor and 8.3 mm creepage distance solution. The regulated feedback provides a relatively flat efficiency curve over the full output power range. The ADuM3070 enables a DC/DC converter with a 3.3 V to 24 V isolated output voltage range from either a 5.0 V or a 3.3 V input voltage, with an output power of up to 2.5 W.The ADuM447x isolators provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates. The ADN8833 is a monolithic H-bridge TEC driver with integrat-ed 1 A power MOSFETs. It has a linear power stage with the linear driver (LDR) output and a pulse-width modulation (PWM) power stage with the SW output. Depending on the control voltage at the CONT input, the ADN8833 drives current through a TEC to settle the temperature of a laser diode or a passive component attached to the TEC module to the programmed target temperature. The control voltage applied to the CONT input is generated by a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) closing the digital proportional, integral, derivative (PID) loop of temperature control system. The internal 2.5 V reference voltage provides a 1% accurate output that is used to bias a voltage divider network to program the maximum TEC current and voltage limits for both the heating and cooling modes. It can also be a reference voltage for the DAC and the temperature sensing circuit, including a thermistor bridge and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).APPLICATIONS TEC temperature control Optical modules Optical fiber amplifiers Optical networking systems Instruments requiring TEC temperature control

The LTC1700 is a current mode synchronous step-up DC/DC controller that drives external N-channel and P-channel power MOSFETs using a constant frequency PWM architecture. Current limiting is provided by sensing the voltage drop across the main MOSFET, eliminating the need of a sense resistor. This No RSENSE? technique helps the LTC1700 maintain high efficiency at heavy loads while Burst Mode operation ensures high efficiency at light loads, thus providing high efficiencies over a wide range of load currents. The LTC1700 operates at a minimum input voltage as low as 0.9V. The device boasts a ?1.5% output voltage accuracy and consumes only 200?A of quiescent current. In shutdown, it only draws 10?A.To prevent inductor current runaway, the duty cycle is limited to 90%. Overvoltage protection is also provided which shuts both the external MOSFETs off when tripped.High constant operating frequency of 530kHz allows the use of small inductors and output capacitors. The LTC1700 can also be synchronized between 400kHz to 750kHz. Burst Mode operation is inhibited when the device is externally clocked or when the SYNC/MODE pin is pulled low to reduce noise and RF interference.Applications Cellular Telephones Wireless Modems RF Communications 2.5V to 3.3V, 2.5V to 5V Converters Battery-Powered Equipment Telecom/Network Systems

ADRV9029-MB/PCBZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADRV9029 is a highly integrated, radio frequency (RF) agile transceiver offering four independently controlled transmitters, dedicated observation receiver inputs for monitoring each transmitter channel, four independently controlled receivers, integrated synthesizers, and digital signal processing functions providing a complete transceiver solution. The device provides the performance demanded by cellular infrastructure applications, such as small cell base station radios, macro 3G/4G/5G systems, and massive multiple in/multiple out (MIMO) base stations. The receiver subsystem consists of four independent, wide bandwidth, direct conversion receivers with wide dynamic range. The four independent transmitters use a direct conversion modulator resulting in low noise operation with low power consumption. The device also includes two wide bandwidth, time shared, observation path receivers with two inputs each for monitoring transmitter outputs. The complete transceiver subsystem includes automatic and manual attenuation control, dc offset correction, quadrature error correction (QEC), and digital filtering, eliminating the need for these functions in the digital baseband. Other auxiliary functions such as analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and general-purpose input/ outputs (GPIOs) that provide an array of digital control options are also integrated. To achieve a high level of RF performance, the transceiver includes five fully integrated phase-locked loops (PLLs). Two PLLs provide low noise and low power fractional-N RF synthesis for the transmitter and receiver signal paths. A third fully integrated PLL supports an independent local oscillator (LO) mode for the observation receiver. The fourth PLL generates the clocks needed for the converters and digital circuits, and a fifth PLL provides the clock for the serial data interface.A multichip synchronization mechanism synchronizes the phase of all LOs and baseband clocks between multiple ADRV9029 chips. All voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) and loop filter components are integrated and adjustable through the digital control interface. This device contains a fully integrated, low power digital predistortion (DPD) adaptation engine for use in power amplifier linearization. DPD enables use of high efficiency power amplifiers, reducing the power consumption of base station radios while also reducing the number of SERDES lanes necessary to interface with baseband processors. The low power crest factor reduction (CFR) engine of the ADRV9029 reduces the peak to average ratio (PAR) of the input signal, enabling higher efficiency transmit line ups while reducing the processing load on baseband processors. The serial data interface consists of four serializer lanes and four deserializer lanes. The interface supports both the JESD204B and JESD204C standards, operating at data rates up to 24.33 Gbps. The interface also supports interleaved mode for lower bandwidths, thus reducing the number of high speed data interface lanes to one. Both fixed and floating-point data formats are supported. The floating-point format allows internal automatic gain control (AGC) to be invisible to the demodulator device. The ADRV9029 is powered directly from 1.0 V, 1.3 V, and 1.8 V regulators and is controlled via a standard serial peripheral interface (SPI) serial port. Comprehensive power-down modes are included to minimize power consumption in normal use. The ADRV9029 is packaged in a 14 mm ? 14 mm, 289-ball chip scale ball grid array (CSP_BGA).APPLICATIONS3G/4G/5G TDD and FDD massive MIMO, macro and small cell base stations
