ADMV1014-EVALZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADMV1014 is a silicon germanium (SiGe), wideband, microwave downconverter optimized for point to point microwave radio designs operating in the 24 GHz to 44 GHz frequency range. The downconverter offers two modes of frequency translation. The device is capable of direct quadrature demodulation to baseband inphase (I)/quadrature (Q) output signals, as well as image rejection downconversion to a complex intermediate frequency (IF) output carrier frequency. The baseband outputs can be dc-coupled, or, more typically, the I/Q outputs are ac-coupled with a sufficiently low high-pass corner frequency to ensure adequate demodulation accuracy. The serial port interface (SPI) allows fine adjustment of the quadrature phase to allow the user to optimize I/Q demodulation performance. Alternatively, the baseband I/Q outputs can be disabled, and the I/Q signals can be passed through an on-chip active balun to provide two single-ended complex IF outputs anywhere between 800 MHz and 6000 MHz. When used as an image rejecting downconverter, the unwanted image term is typically suppressed to better than 30 dBc below the wanted sideband. The ADMV1014 offers a flexible local oscillator (LO) system, including a frequency quadruple option allowing up to a 41 GHz range of LO input frequencies to cover a radio frequency (RF) input range as wide as 24 GHz to 44 GHz. A square law power detector is provided to allow monitoring of the power levels at the mixer inputs. The detector output provides closed-loop control of the RF input variable attenuator through an external op amp error integrator circuit option. The ADMV1014 downconverter comes in a compact, thermally enhanced, 5 mm ? 5 mm LGA package. The ADMV1014 operates over the ?40?C to +85?C case temperature range.Applications Point to point microwave radios Radar, electronic warfare systems Instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE)

EVAL-AD7691SDZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7691 is an 18-bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD, between 2.3 V and 5 V. It contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit sampling ADC with no missing codes, an internal conversion clock, and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, it samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN? pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing in opposite phase between 0 V and REF. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set up to the supply voltage.?The part?s power scales linearly with throughput. The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. It is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, or 5 V logic, using the separate VIO supply. The AD7691 is housed in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead QFN (LFCSP) with operation specified from ?40?C to +85?C.Applications Battery-powered equipment Data acquisitions Seismic data acquisition systems Instrumentation Medical instruments

LT3500EDD | 36V (40V Transient) 2.2MHz Step-Down Switching Regulator

Analog Devices Inc.
Demo circuit 1069A is a monolithic step-down switching regulator with LDO featuring LT3500. The demo circuit is designed for 5.0V and 3.3V outputs from a 6V to 36V input. The LDO output is configured as a post-regulator of the switching regulator output. The total current capability is up to 2A. The switching regulator can be synchronized to an external clock input or be resistor-programmed to a 250kHz to 2.2MHz internal oscillator. Programmable frequency allows for optimization between efficiency and external component size. Cycle-by-cycle current limit, frequency foldback and thermal shutdown provide protections against a shorted output. The soft-start feature controls the ramp rate of the output voltage, eliminates input current surge during startup, and also provides output tracking.

DC1219A-C

Analog Devices Inc.
The LT3495/LT3495B/LT3495-1/LT3495B-1 are low noise boost converters with integrated power switch, feedback resistor and output disconnect circuitry. The parts control power delivery by varying both the peak inductor current and switch off-time. This novel* control scheme results in low output voltage ripple as well as high efficiency over a wide load range. For the LT3495/LT3495-1, the off-time of the switch is not allowed to exceed a ?xed level, guaranteeing the switching frequency stays above the audio band for the entire load range. The parts feature a high performance NPN power switch with a 650mA and 350mA current limit for the LT3495/LT3495B and LT3495-1/LT3495B-1 respectively. The quiescent current is a low 60?A, which is further reduced to 0.1?A in shutdown. The internal disconnect circuitry allows the output voltage to be isolated from the input during shutdown. An auxiliary reference input (CTRL pin) overrides the internal 1.235V feedback reference with any lower value allowing full control of the output voltage during operation. The LT3495 series are available in a tiny 10-lead 3mm ? 2mm DFN package.Applications OLED Power Low Noise Power MP3 Player

EVAL-ADM1178EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1178 is an integrated hot swap controller and current sense amplifier that offers digital current and voltage monitoring via an on-chip 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), communicated through an I2C? interface. An internal current sense amplifier measures voltage across the sense resistor in the power path via the VCC pin and the SENSE pin.The ADM1178 limits the current through this resistor by control-ling the gate voltage (via the GATE pin) of an external N-channel FET in the power path. The voltage across the sense resistor (and therefore the inrush current) is kept below a preset maximum. The ADM1178 protects the external FET by limiting the time that the maximum current runs through it. This current limit period is set by the value of the capacitor attached to the TIMER pin. Additionally, the device provides protection from overcurrent events that may occur after the hot swap event is complete. In case of a short-circuit event, the current in the sense resistor exceeds an overcurrent trip threshold, and the FET is switched off immediately by pulling down the GATE pin.A 12-bit ADC can measure the current seen in the sense resistor, as well as the supply voltage on the VCC pin. An alert output can be set to trigger when the ADC current reading exceeds a programmed overcurrent limit threshold. An industry-standard I2C interface allows a controller to read current and voltage data from the ADC. Measurements can be initiated by an I2C command. Alternatively, the ADC can run continuously, and the user can read the latest conversion data whenever it is required. Up to four unique I2C addresses can be created, depending on how the ADR pin is connected. The ADM1178 is packaged in a 10-lead MSOP.ApplicationsPower monitoring/power budgeting Central office equipment Telecommunication and data communication equipment PCs/servers
