The ADF4002 frequency synthesizer is used to implement local oscillators in the up-conversion and down-conversion sections of wireless receivers and transmitters. It consists of a low-noise digital phase frequency detector (PFD), a precision charge pump, a programmable reference divider and programmable N divider. The 14-bit reference counter (R counter), allows selectable REFIN frequencies at the PFD input.A complete phase-locked loop (PLL) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). In addition, by programming R and N to 1, the device can be used as a standalone PFD and charge pump.The ADF4002-EP supports defense and aerospace applications (AQEC standard).

Demonstration Circuit 1419 is a 1.5MHz current mode step-down switching regulator with programmable output current limit featuring the LT3663. The current limit accurately controls the system power dissipation and reduces the size of the power path components. The demo board operates with a 7.5V to 36V (60 transients) input voltage range. The output can be set to 3.3V or 5V using jumper J4, and the current limit can be set to 0.6V, 0.8V, 1V or 1.2V using jumpers J2 and J3.

The LT6118 is a complete high side current sense device that incorporates a precision current sense amplifier, an integrated voltage reference and a latching comparator. The comparator latch functionality can be enabled or disabled and the comparator can be configured to reset upon power-on. The comparator trip point and amplifier gain are configured with external resistors.The overall propagation delay of the LT6118 is typically only 1.4?s, allowing for quick reaction to overcurrent conditions. The 1MHz bandwidth allows the LT6118 to be used for error detection in critical applications such as motor control. The controller operates in redundant supply circuits, where each rail has an individual ideal diode, and the outputs are connected to the load through a single Hot Swap circuit. The controller enables monitoring of the load current by providing a signal that is 100× the sense resistor voltage.

The LTC2378-20, LTC2377-20 and LTC2376-20 are 20‑bit, low power, low noise SAR ADCs with serial outputs that operate from a single 2.5V supply. The demo manual refers to the LTC2378-20 but applies to all parts in the family, the only difference being the maximum sample rate. The LTC2378-20 supports a ±5V fully differential input range with a 104dB SNR, consumes only 21mW and achieves ±2ppm INL max with no missing codes at 20 bits. The DC1925A demonstrates the DC and AC performance of the LTC2378-20 in conjunction with the DC590 QuikEval™ and DC890 PScope™ data collection boards. Use the DC590 to demonstrate DC performance such as peak-to-peak noise and DC linearity.
