EVAL-AD7400AEDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7400A is a second-order, ?-? modulator that converts an analog input signal into a high speed, 1-bit data stream with on-chip digital isolation based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology. The AD7400A operates from a 5 V power supply and accepts a differential input signal of ?250 mV (?320 mV full scale). The analog input is sampled continuously by the analog modulator, eliminating the need for external sample-and-hold circuitry. The input information is contained in the output stream as a density of ones with a data rate of 10 MHz. The original information can be reconstructed with an appropriate digital filter. The serial I/O can use a 5 V or a 3 V supply (VDD2).The serial interface is digitally isolated. High speed CMOS, combined with monolithic air core transformer technology, means the on-chip isolation provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices. The part contains an on-chip reference and has an operating temperature range of ?40?C to +125?C. The AD7400A is offered in an 8-lead surface-mount PDIP with gull wing leads and a 16-lead SOIC package.APPLICATIONS AC motor controls Shunt current monitoring Data acquisition systems Analog-to-digital and opto-isolator replacements

The LTC4079 is a low quiescent current, high voltage linear charger for most battery chemistry types including Li-Ion/Polymer, LiFePO4, Lead-Acid or NiMH battery stacks up to 60V. The maximum charge current is adjustable from 10mA to 250mA with an external resistor. The battery charge voltage is set using an external resistor divider. With an integrated power device, current sensing and reverse current protection, a complete charging solution using the LTC4079 requires very few external components. Thermal regulation ensures maximum charge current up to the specified limit without the risk of overheating. Charging can be terminated by either C/10 or adjustable timer.Input voltage regulation reduces charge current when the input voltage falls to an adjustable level or the battery voltage, making it well suited for energy harvesting applications. Other features include temperature qualified charging, bad battery detection, automatic recharge with sampled feedback in standby for negligible battery drain, and an open-drain CHRG status output. The device is offered in a compact, thermally enhanced 10-lead (3mm ? 3mm) DFN package.APPLICATIONS Embedded Automotive and Industrial Backup Battery Charging from Another Battery Energy Harvesting Charger Thin Film Battery Products

The LTC1923 is a pulse width modulator intended for thermoelectric cooler (TEC) or heater applications requiring either unidirectional or bidirectional drive circuits. All of the necessary control circuitry and two sets of complementary output drivers are integrated into the LTC1923 to drive a full bridge, providing an efficient means of bidirectional current flow to the TEC. An accurate temperature control loop to stabilize the temperature of a laser diode system is easily achieved with the addition of just a few external components. Typical temperature setpoint accuracy of 0.1?C is achievable with the LTC1923. Adding an instrumentation amplifier front end allows setpoint stability of 0.01?C.The part features independent adjustable heating and cooling pulse-by-pulse current limit, current soft-start for controlled start-up, output slew rate control to reduce system noise, differential current sense and voltage amplifiers and a host of auxiliary circuits to protect the laser and provide redundant system monitoring.Applications Laser-Based Fiber Optic Links Medical Instruments CPU Temperature Regulators
