AD8375-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8375 is a digitally controlled, variable gain, wide bandwidth amplifier that provides precise gain control, high IP3, and low noise figure. The excellent distortion performance and high signal bandwidth make the AD8375 an excellent gain control device for a variety of receiver applications.Using an advanced high speed SiGe process and incorporating proprietary distortion cancellation techniques, the AD8375 achieves 50 dBm output IP3 at 200 MHz.The AD8375 provides a broad 24 dB gain range with 1 dB resolution. The gain is adjusted through a 5-pin control interface and can be driven using standard TTL levels. The open-collector outputs provide a flexible interface, allowing the overall signal gain to be set by the loading impedance. Thus, the signal voltage gain is directly proportional to the load. The AD8375 is powered on by applying the appropriate logic level to the PWUP pin. The quiescent current of the AD8375 is typically 130 mA. When powered down, the AD8375 consumes less than 5 mA and offers excellent input-to-output isolation.Fabricated on an Analog Devices, Inc., high speed SiGe process, the AD8375 is supplied in a compact, thermally enhanced, 4 mm ? 4 mm, 24-lead LFCSP package and operates over the temperature range of ?40?C to +85?C.Applications ? Analog Devices Inc.
The LT1952/LT1952-1 are current mode PWM controllers optimized to control the forward converter topology, using one primary MOSFET. The LT1952/LT1952-1 provide synchronous rectifier control, resulting in extremely high efficiency. A programmable Volt-Second clamp provides a safeguard for transformer reset that prevents saturation. This allows a single MOSFET on the primary side to reliably run at greater than 50% duty cycle for high MOSFET, transformer and rectifier utilization. The devices include soft-start for controlled exit from shutdown and undervoltage lockout. A precision 107mV current limit threshold, independent of duty cycle, combines with softstart to provide hiccup short circuit protection. The LT1952 is optimized for micropower bootstrap startup from high input voltages. The LT1952-1 allows startup from lower input voltages. Programmable slope compensation and leading edge blanking allow optimization of loop bandwidth with a wide range of inductors and MOSFETs. Each device can be programmed over a 100kHz to 500kHz frequency range and the part can be synchronized to an external clock. The error amplifier is a true op amp, allowing a wide range of compensation networks. The LT1952/LT1952-1 are available in a small 16-pin SSOP package.Applications Telecommunications Power Supplies Industrial and Distributed Power Isolated and Non-Isolated DC/DC Converters

EVAL-ADM2485EB5Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM2485 differential bus transceiver is an integrated, galvanically isolated component designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It is designed for balanced transmission lines and complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA RS-485-A-98 and ISO 8482:1987(E).The device employs Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology to combine a 3-channel isolator, a three-state differential line driver, and a differential input receiver into a single package. An on-chip oscillator outputs a pair of square waveforms that drive an external transformer to provide isolated power with an external transformer. The logic side of the device can be powered with either a 5 V or a 3.3 V supply, and the bus side is powered with an isolated 5 V supply. The ADM2485 driver has an active high enable. The driver differential outputs and the receiver differential inputs are connected internally to form a differential input/output port that imposes minimal loading on the bus when the driver is disabled or when VDD1 or VDD2 = 0 V. Also provided is an active high receiver disable that causes the receive output to enter a high impedance state. The device has current-limiting and thermal shutdown features to protect against output short circuits and situations where bus contention might cause excessive power dissipation. The part is fully specified over the industrial temperature range and is available in a 16-lead, wide-body SOIC package.Applications Isolated RS-485/RS-422 interfaces PROFIBUS networks Industrial field networks Multipoint data transmission systems

Analog Devices Inc.
The LTC1844 Series are low noise VLDO? (very low dropout) linear regulators designed for low power/portable applications. These regulators can operate from input voltages as low as 1.6V. Typical output noise is only 30?VRMS and typical dropout for the LTC1844-3.3 is just 90mV at the maximum load current of 150mA, reducing to 30mV at 50mA.The internal P-channel MOSFET pass transistor requires no base current, allowing the device to draw only 35?A during normal operation, independent of the dropout voltage and load current. The quiescent current falls to a negligible 10nA during shutdown.Other features include high output voltage accuracy, excellent transient response, stability with ultralow ESR ceramic capacitors as small as 1?F, reverse-battery and reverse-current protection, short-circuit and thermal overload protection and output current limiting. The LTC1844 regulators are available in a low profile (1mm) SOT-23 (ThinSOT?) package.Applications Portable Instruments and Battery-Powered Systems Bluetooth/802.11 Cards Cellular Phones PDAs and Notebook Computers

LTC4418 Dual Channel Prioritized PowerPath Controller
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2707B uses the LTC®4418 to arbitrate between two input supply rails, selecting the highest priority, valid supply to power the load. The V1 rail is defined to have higher priority and the V2 rail has lower priority. Both rails have individual overvoltage and undervoltage comparators for setting valid window thresholds with external resistive dividers. If the highest priority rail voltage V1 falls out of the defined window (overvoltage or undervoltage), the V2 rail, if it is valid, is enabled and powers
the load. Two or more LTC4418s can be cascaded to provide switchover between more than two rails.
