Demonstration circuit 943 is a complete power controller for a USB power device. It features the LTC6047 and provides a full-featured 1.25A linear lithium-ion CC/CV battery charger with timer termination and 4.2V charge voltage, a USB power manager, and a PowerPath manager for the battery. The USB input voltage range is 4.35V to 5.5V and the wall adapter input is 4.35V to 6V. It also features a programmable 1.5A input current limit that can be set at 500mA or 100mA for USB applications. The wall adapter input has overvoltage protection up to 13V. An external MOSFET disconnects the wall adapter when the voltage exceeds 6V.

The LTC7124 is a dual channel, 3.5A per output, high efficiency monolithic step-down regulator capable of operating from input supplies up to 17V. The programmable switching frequency ranges from 500kHz to 4MHz with a ?25% external clock synchronization capability around the programmed frequency. The regulator features ultralow quiescent current for high efficiency over a wide VOUT range.The step-down regulator operates from an input voltage range of 3.1V to 17V and provides an adjustable output range from 0.6V to 99% of VIN while delivering up to 3.5A of output current per channel. A user selectable mode input is provided to allow the user to trade off output ripple for light load efficiency; Burst Mode? operation provides the highest efficiency at light loads, while forced continuous operation provides the lowest output ripple. The LTC7124 includes spread spectrum modulation for low radiated and conductive noise. Demonstration circuit 2322A is designed for evaluation of the LTC5576 active upconverting mixer with very wide input bandwidth and low distortion. Its OUT port is optimized for 4GHz to 6GHz applications, but is easily retuned for output frequencies as low as 3GHz, or as high as 8GHz with minor performance degradation. The IN port is optimized for 30MHz to 6GHz operation while the LO port is always 50Ω matched from 1GHz to 8GHz.
