Demonstration circuit 3162A is a 18V, 10A synchronous step-down Silent Switcher® with spread spectrum frequency modulation featuring the LT8642-1. The demo board is designed for 1.2V output from a 2.8V to 18V input. The LT8642-1 is a compact, low emission, high efficiency, and high speed synchronous monolithic stepdown switching regulator. Special Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI emissions. Selectable spread spectrum mode can further improve EMI performance. Fast minimum on-time of 20ns enables high VIN to low VOUT conversion at high frequency. The LT8642-1 switching frequency can be programmed either via a resistor or external clock over a 200kHz to 3MHz range. The default frequency of demo circuit 3162A is 2MHz. The LT8642-1 SYNC/MODE pin on the demo board is grounded (JP1 at BURST position) by default for low ripple Burst Mode® operation. Spread spectrum mode and forced continuous mode can be selected respectively by moving JP1 shunt. To synchronize to an external clock, move JP1 to FCM/SYNC and apply the external clock to the SYNC terminal. The LT8642-1 data sheet gives a complete description of the part, operation, and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for demo circuit 3162A. The LT8642-1 is assembled in a 3mm × 4mm LQFN package with exposed pads for low thermal resistance. The ADG2128?is an analog cross point switch with an array size of 8 ? 12. The switch array is arranged so that there are eight columns by 12 rows, for a total of 96 switch channels. The array is bidirectional, and the rows and columns can be configured as either inputs or outputs. Each of the 96 switches can be addressed and configured through the I2C compatible interface. Standard, full speed, and high speed (3.4 MHz) I2C interfaces are supported. Any simultaneous switch combination is allowed. An additional feature of the ADG2128 is that switches can be updated simultaneously, using the LDSW command. In addition, a RESET option allows all of the switch channels to be reset/off. At power-on, all switches are in the off condition. The DC500 has an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, and is capable of delivering up to 600 mA of output current at minimum input voltage of 3V. The DC500A-E features the 1.5V fixed output LTC3406B-1.5 (Burst Mode defeated).

The AD8332 is a dual channel ultralow noise, linear-in-dB, variable gain amplifier (VGA). Optimized for ultrasound systems, they are usable as a low noise variable gain element at frequencies up to 120 MHz.Included in each channel are an ultralow noise preamplifier (LNA), an X-AMP? VGA with 48 dB of gain range, and a selectable gain postamplifier with adjustable output limiting. The LNA gain is 19 dB with a single-ended input and differential outputs. Using a single resistor, the LNA input impedance can be adjusted to match a signal source without compromising noise performance.The 48 dB gain range of the VGA makes these devices suitable for a variety of applications. Excellent bandwidth uniformity is maintained across the entire range. The gain control interface provides precise linear-in-dB scaling of 50 dB/V for control voltages between 40 mV and 1 V. Factory trim ensures excellent part-to-part and channel-to-channel gain matching. Differential signal paths result in superb second- and third-order distortion performance and low crosstalk.The operating temperature range is -40?C to +85?C. The LTC5584 is a direct conversion quadrature demodulator optimized for high linearity receiver applications in the 30MHz to 1.4GHz frequency range. It is also usable in the 10MHz to 30MHz and 1.4GHz to 2GHz ranges with reduced performance. It is suitable for communications receivers where an RF signal is directly converted into I and Q baseband signals with bandwidth of 530MHz or higher. The LTC5584 incorporates balanced I and Q mixers, LO buffer amplifiers and a precision, high frequency quadrature phase shifter. In addition, the LTC5584 provides four analog control voltage interface pins for IIP2 and DC offset correction, greatly simplifying system calibration.The high linearity of the LTC5584 provides excellent spurfree dynamic range for the receiver. This direct conversion demodulator can eliminate the need for intermediate frequency (IF) signal processing, as well as the corresponding requirements for image filtering and IF filtering. The ADM1184 is an integrated, 4-channel voltage-monitoring device. A 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply is required on the VCC pin to power the device.Four precision comparators monitor four voltage rails. Each comparator has a 0.6 V reference with a worst-case accuracy of 0.8%. Resistor networks that are external to the VIN1, VIN2, VIN3, and VIN4 pins set the trip points for the monitored supply rails.The ADM1184 has four open-drain outputs. Of these outputs, OUT1 to OUT3 can be used to enable power supplies, and PWRGD is a common power-good output indicating that all monitored supplies are above their respective thresholds.OUT1 to OUT3 are dependent on their associated VINx input (that is, VIN1, VIN2, or VIN3). If a supply monitored by VINx drops below its programmed threshold, the associated OUTx pin and PWRGD are disabled.PWRGD is a common power-good output indicating the status of all monitored supplies. There is an internal 190 ms (typical) delay associated with the assertion of the PWRGD output. Demonstration circuit 2350B features the LTC6813-1, 18-channel battery-stack monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2350B demo board also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components, and DuraClik connectors are optimized for low EMI susceptibility and emissions. The DC2350B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026C Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery-stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026 provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2350B isoSPI port (J4 or J5 connector). The DC2792B companion board provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.
