LT3909EDD Demo Board | 2-String Boost LED Driver, 7V ≤ VIN ≤ 36V, VLED up to 35V @ 50mA (x2)
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2176A features the LT3909, a 2-string × 50mA, 2MHz step-up LED driver with ±1.8% current matching. The LT3909 precisely regulates two LED strings for equal current, supports LED dimming that reduces brightness down to a 1/40,000 ratio, protects against faults and also reports faults. The LT3909 consists of a step-up converter with a fixed 2MHz switching frequency and current sources for the LED strings.
The maximum current in each LED string is 40mA. The ISET resistor can be changed to 20.0kΩ to program the string current to 50mA – see the data sheet for an application example with 50mA string current. Voltage feedback resistors optimize operation for LEDs that are 35V maximum.

ADP1871-0.6-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP1870?/ ADP1871 are versatile current-mode, synchronous step-down controllers that provide superior transient response, optimal stability, and current-limit protection by using a constant on-time, pseudo-fixed frequency with a programmable current-limit, current-control scheme. In addition, these devices offer optimum performance at low duty cycles by utilizing valley current-mode control architecture. This allows the ADP1870 / ADP1871 to drive all N-channel power stages to regulate output voltages as low as 0.6 V.The ADP1871 is the power saving mode (PSM) version of the device and is capable of pulse skipping to maintain output regulation while achieving improved system efficiency at light loads (see the Power Saving Mode (PSM) Version (ADP1871) section for more information).Available in three frequency options (300 kHz, 600 kHz, and 1.0 MHz, plus the PSM option), the ADP1870 / ADP1871 are well suited for a wide range of applications that require a single-input power supply range from 2.95 V to 20 V. Low voltage biasing is supplied via a 5 V internal LDO.In addition, an internally fixed soft start period is included to limit input in-rush current from the input supply during startup and to provide reverse current protection during soft start for a precharged output. The low-side current-sense, current-gain scheme and integration of a boost diode, along with the PSM/forced pulse-width modulation (PWM) option, reduce the external part count and improve efficiency. The ADP1870/ADP1871 operate over the -40?C to +125?C junction temperature range and are available in 10-lead MSOP package.APPLICATIONS Telecom and networking systems Mid to high end servers Set-top boxes DSP core power supplies 12 V input POL supplies

EVAL-ADN2850SDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADN2850 is a dual-channel, nonvolatile memory, digitallycontrolled resistors?with 1024-step resolution, offeringguaranteed maximum low resistor tolerance error of ?8%. Thedevice performs the same electronic adjustment function as amechanical rheostat with enhanced resolution, solid statereliability, and superior low temperature coefficientperformance. The versatile programming of the ADN2850 viaan SPI?-compatible serial interface allows 16 modes ofoperation and adjustment including scratchpad programming, memory storing and restoring, increment/decrement, ?6 dB/steplog taper adjustment, wiper setting readback, and extra EEMEM?for user-defined information such as memory data for other components, look-up table, or system identificationinformation. In the scratchpad programming mode, a specific setting canbe programmed directly to the RDAC?register, which sets theresistance between Terminal W and Terminal B. This setting canbe stored into the EEMEM and is restored automatically to theRDAC register during system power-on.The EEMEM content can be restored dynamically or throughexternal PR strobing, and a WP function protects EEMEM contents. To simplify the programming, the independent orsimultaneous linear-step increment or decrement commandscan be used to move the RDAC wiper up or down, one step at atime. For logarithmic ?6 dB changes in the wiper setting, theleft or right bit shift command can be used to double or halve theRDAC wiper setting. The ADN2850 patterned resistance tolerance is stored in theEEMEM. The actual full scale resistance can, therefore, beknown by the host processor in readback mode. The host canexecute the appropriate resistance step through a softwareroutine that simplifies open-loop applications as well asprecision calibration and tolerance matching applications. The ADN2850 is available in the 5 mm ? 5 mm 16-lead framechip scale LFCSP and thin, 16-lead TSSOP package. The part isguaranteed to operate over the extended industrial temperaturerange of ?40?C to +85?C.Applications SONET, SDH, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM laser diode driver, optical supervisory systems Mechanical rheostat replacement Instrumentation gain adjustment Programmable filters, delays, time constants Sensor calibration
