System-on-Module (SOM) Board to Evaluate the 1 GHz ADSP-2156x SHARC+® Family of Audio Processors
Analog Devices Inc.
The EV-21569-SOM with low-cost evaluation and rapid prototyping of the ADSP-2156× Family (ADSP-21562/21563/21565/21566/21567/21569) of SHARC+ audio processors. It features the processor, memory, and power portions of the design and provides an easy-to-use plug-n-play reference design with all the key interfaces made available on three connectors for marrying to either the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board or a custom carrier board. The EV-21569-SOM and EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT boards may be purchased as a bundle (EV-21569-EZKIT), providing fast and easy evaluation of the processor core and system peripherals/interfaces.
The EV-21569-SOM module requires the CrossCore® Embedded Studio (CCES) development tools to enable developers to achieve faster time to market. The development environment aids advanced application code development and debug, such as:
Create, compile, assemble, and link application programs written in C++, C, and assembly
Load, run, step, halt, and set breakpoints in application programs
Read and write data and program memory
Read and write core and peripheral registers
When used without the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board, the EV-21569-SOM board requires an external in-circuit emulator (ICE-1000 or ICE-2000) be connected to the JTAG header.

The LTC1408 is a 14-bit, 600ksps ADC with six simultaneously sampled differential inputs. The device draws only 5mA from a single 3V supply, and comes in a tiny 32 pin (5mm ? 5mm) QFN package. A SLEEP shutdown feature lowers power consumption to 6?W. The combination of low power and tiny package makes the LTC1408 suitable for portable applications. The LTC1408 contains six separate differential inputs that are sampled simultaneously on the rising edge of the CONV signal. These six sampled inputs are then converted at a rate of 100ksps per channel. The 90dB common mode rejection allows users to eliminate ground loops and common mode noise by measuring signals differentially from the source. The device converts 0V to 2.5V unipolar inputs differentially, or ?1.25V bipolar inputs also differentially, depending on the state of the BIP pin. Any analog input may swing rail-to-rail as long as the differential input range is maintained. The conversion sequence can be abbreviated to convert fewer than six channels, depending on the logic state of the SEL2, SEL1 and SEL0 inputs. The serial interface sends out the six conversion results in 96 clocks for compatibility with standard serial interfaces.Applications Multiphase Power Measurement Multiphase Motor Control Data Acquisition Systems Uninterruptable Power Supplies

The ICdelivers a versatile combination of high performance and low power consumption required by 3G/4G micro and macro BTSequipment in both FDD and TDD applications. The AD9371operates from 300 MHz to 6000 MHz, covering most of the licensed and unlicensed cellular bands. The IC supports receiver bandwidths up to 100 MHz. It also supports observation receiver and transmit synthesis bandwidths up to 250 MHz to accommodate digital correction algorithms. The transceiver consists of wideband direct conversion signalpaths with state-of-the-art noise figure and linearity. Each complete receiver and transmitter subsystem includes dc offset correction, quadrature error correction (QEC), and programmable digitalfilters, eliminating the need for these functions in the digitalbaseband. Several auxiliary functions such as an auxiliary analog-to-digital converter (ADC), auxiliary digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs) are integratedto provide additional monitoring and control capability. An observation receiver channel with two inputs is included to monitor each transmitter output and implement interference mitigation and calibration applications. This channel also connects to three sniffer receiver inputs that can monitor radio activity in different bands. The high speed JESD204B interface supports lane rates up to 6144 Mbps. Four lanes are dedicated to the transmitters and four lanes are dedicated to the receiver and observation receiver channels. The fully integrated phase-locked loops (PLLs) provide high performance, low power fractional-N frequency synthesis forthe transmitter, the receiver, the observation receiver, and theclock sections. Careful design and layout techniques provide theisolation demanded in high performance base station applications. All voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and loop filter components are integrated to minimize the external component count. A 1.3 V supply is required to power the core of the AD9371, anda standard 4-wire serial port controls it. Other voltage supplies provide proper digital interface levels and optimize transmitterand auxiliary converter performance. The AD9371 is packaged in a12 mm ? 12 mm, 196-ball chip scale ball grid array (CSP_BGA).Applications 3G/4G micro and macro base stations (BTS) 3G/4G multicarrier picocells? LTC4418 Dual Channel Prioritized PowerPath Controller
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2707B uses the LTC®4418 to arbitrate between two input supply rails, selecting the highest priority, valid supply to power the load. The V1 rail is defined to have higher priority and the V2 rail has lower priority. Both rails have individual overvoltage and undervoltage comparators for setting valid window thresholds with external resistive dividers. If the highest priority rail voltage V1 falls out of the defined window (overvoltage or undervoltage), the V2 rail, if it is valid, is enabled and powers
the load. Two or more LTC4418s can be cascaded to provide switchover between more than two rails.

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP5070 is a dual high performance dc-to-dc regulator that generates independently regulated positive and negative rails. The input voltage range of 2.85 V to 15 V supports a wide variety of applications. The integrated main switch in both regulators enables generation of an adjustable positive output voltage up to +39 V and a negative output voltage down to ?39 V below input voltage. The ADP5070 operates at a pin selected 1.2 MHz/2.4 MHz switching frequency. The ADP5070 can synchronize with an external oscillator from 1.0 MHz to 2.6 MHz to ease noise filtering in sensitive applications. Both regulators implement programmable slew rate control circuitry for the MOSFET driver stage to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).Flexible start-up sequencing is provided with the options of manual enable, simultaneous mode, positive supply first, and negative supply first. The ADP5070 includes a fixed internal or resistor programmable soft start timer to prevent inrush current at power-up. During shutdown, both regulators completely disconnect the loads from the input supply to provide a true shutdown.Other key safety features in the ADP5070 include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and input undervoltage lockout (UVLO).The ADP5070 is available in a 20-lead LFCSP or in a 20-lead TSSOP and is rated for a ?40?C to +125?C junction temperature range.Applications Bipolar amplifiers, ADCs, DACs and multiplexers Charge-coupled device (CCD) bias supply Optical module supply RF power amplifier (PA) bias
