The?AD7792/AD7793 are low power, low noise, complete analog front ends for high precision measurement applications. The AD7792/AD7793 contain a low noise 16-/24-bit ?-? ADC with three differential analog inputs. The on-chip, low noise instrumentation amplifier means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC. With a gain setting of 64, the rms noise is 40 nV when the update rate equals 4.17 Hz.The devices contain a precision low noise, low drift internal band gap reference and can accept an external differential reference. Other on-chip features include programmable excitation current sources, burnout currents, and a bias voltage generator. The bias voltage generator sets the common-mode voltage of a channel to AVDD/2The devices can be operated with either the internal clock or an external clock. The output data rate from the parts is software-programmable and can be varied from 4.17 Hz to 470 Hz.The parts operate with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. The LTC2341-18 is an 18-bit, low noise 2-channel simultaneous sampling successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with differential, wide common mode range inputs. Operating from a 5V supply and using the internal reference and buffer, both channels of this SoftSpan? ADC can be independently configured on a conversion-by-conversion basis to accept ?4.096V, 0V to 4.096V, ?2.048V, or 0V to 2.048V signals. One channel may also be disabled to increase throughput on the other channel.The wide input common mode range and 105dB CMRR of the LTC2341-18 analog inputs allow the ADC to directly digitize a variety of signals, simplifying signal chain design. This input signal flexibility, combined with ?4LSB INL, no missing codes at 18 bits, and 95dB SNR, makes the LTC2341-18 an ideal choice for many applications requiring wide dynamic range.The LTC2341-18 supports pin-selectable SPI CMOS (1.8V to 5V) and LVDS serial interfaces. The AD9708 is the 8-bit resolution member of the TxDAC? series of high performance, low power CMOS digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The TxDAC? family, which consists of pin compatible 8-, 10-, 12-, and 14-bit DACs, was specifically optimized for the transmit signal path of communication systems. All of the devices share the same interface options, small outline package and pinout, thus providing an upward or downward component selection path based on performance, resolution and cost. The AD9708 offers exceptional ac and dc performance while supporting update rates up to 125 MSPS.The AD9708's flexible single-supply operating range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and low power dissipation are well suited for portable and low power applications. Its power dissipation can be further reduced to 45 mW, without a significant degradation in performance, by lowering the full-scale current output. In addition, a power-down mode reduces the standby power dissipation to approximately 20 mW.The AD9708 is manufactured on an advanced CMOS process. A segmented current source architecture is combined with a proprietary switching technique to reduce spurious components and enhance dynamic performance. Edge-triggered input latches and a temperature compensated bandgap reference have been integrated to provide a complete monolithic DAC solution. Flexible supply options support +3 V and +5 V CMOS logic families.The AD9708 is a current-output DAC with a nominal full-scale output current of 20 mA and > 100 k Ohms output impedance.Differential current outputs are provided to support single-ended or differential applications. The current outputs may be directly tied to an output resistor to provide two complementary, single-ended voltage outputs. The output voltage compliance range is 1.25 V.The AD9708 contains a 1.2 V on-chip reference and reference control amplifier, which allows the full-scale output current to be simply set by a single resistor. The AD9708 can be driven by a variety of external reference voltages. The AD9708's full-scale current can be adjusted over a 2 mA to 20 mA range without any degradation in dynamic performance. Thus, the AD9708 may operate at reduced power levels or be adjusted over a 20 dB range to provide additional gain ranging capabilities.The AD9708 is available in a 28-pin SOIC package. It is specified for operation over the industrial temperature range.

Demonstration Circuit 725 is a 7A high efficiency, phase-lockable constant frequency buck converter, incorporating the LTC3415 polyphase monolithic synchronous regulator. The DC725 has an input voltage range of 2.375V to 5.5V and an output voltage range from 0.6V to 5V. The output voltage can be set to 1.2V, 1.5V or 1.8V using the appropriate jumper connection, or it can be set to an adjustable value down to 0.6V, the reference voltage of the LTC3415. The DC725 can deliver high power for a monolithic part (up to 7A of output current) due to the high current power switches (28 mΩ of onstate resistance) of the LTC3415.
The LTC3415 can also do polyphase operation, which allows multiple DC725s to be used in parallel for higher current power supplies. Since the parallel LTC3415s can operate out-of-phase, the amount of input and output capacitance required will be minimal.

The receive path consists of two independent, wide bandwidth (BW), direct conversion receivers with state-of-the-art dynamic range. The complete receive subsystem includes automatic and manual attenuation control, dc offset correction, quadrature error correction (QEC), and digital filtering, eliminating the need for these functions in the digital baseband. RF front-end control and several auxiliary functions such as analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs) for the power amplifier (PA) are also integrated.In addition to automatic gain control (AGC), the ADRV9008-1 also features flexible external gain control modes, allowing significant flexibility in setting system level gain dynamically.The received signals are digitized with a set of four high dynamic range, continuous time, sigma-delta (?-?) ADCs that provide inherent antialiasing. The combination of the direct conversion architecture, which does not suffer from out of band image mixing, and the lack of aliasing relaxes the requirements of the RF filters compared to traditional intermediate frequency (IF) receivers.The fully integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) provides high per-formance, low power, fractional-N, RF synthesis for the receiver signal paths. An additional synthesizer generates the clocks needed for the converters, digital circuits, and the serial interface. A multi-chip synchronization mechanism synchronizes the phase of the RF local oscillator (LO) and baseband clocks between multiple ADRV9008-1 chips. Precautions are taken to provide the isolation required in high performance base station applications. All voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) and loop filter components are integrated.The high speed JESD204B interface supports up to 12.288 Gbps lane rates, resulting in two lanes per transmitter and a single lane per receiver in the widest bandwidth mode. The interface also supports interleaved mode for lower bandwidths, reducing the total number of high speed data interface lanes to one. Both fixed and floating point data formats are supported. The floating point format allows internal AGC to be invisible to the demodulator device.The core of the ADRV9008-1 can be powered directly from 1.3 V and 1.8 V regulators and is controlled via a standard 4-wire serial port. Comprehensive power-down modes are included to mini-mize power consumption during normal use.
