The MAX22245/MAX22246 are a family of 2-channelreinforced, fast, low-power digital galvanic isolatorsusing Maxim’s proprietary process technology. Alldevices feature reinforced isolation for a withstandvoltage rating of 5kVRMS for 60 seconds. Bothautomotive and general-purpose devices are rated foroperation at ambient temperatures of -40°C to +125°C.Devices with /V suffix are AEC-Q100 qualified. Industrial Isolated SPI Isolated RS-232, RS-485/RS-422, CAN Fieldbus Communications Motor DriveThese devices transfer digital signals between circuitswith different power domains, using as little as 0.78mWper-channel at 1Mbps (1.8V supply). The low-powerfeature reduces system dissipation, increases reliability,and enables compact designs.Devices are available with a maximum data rate of25Mbps or 200Mbps, and with outputs that are eitherdefault high or default low. The devices feature lowpropagation delay and low clock jitter, which reducessystem latency.Independent 1.71V to 5.5V supplies on each side of theisolator also make the devices suitable for use as leveltranslators.The MAX22245 features two channels transferring datain the same direction.
