AD8274ARMZ-R7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8274 is a difference amplifier that delivers excellent ac and dc performance. Built on Analog Devices, Inc., proprietary iPolar® process and laser-trimmed resistors, AD8274 achieves a breakthrough in distortion vs. current consumption and has excellent gain drift, gain accuracy, and CMRR.Distortion in the audio band is an extremely low 0.00025% (112 dB) at a gain of ½ and 0.00035% (109 dB) at a gain of 2 while driving a 600 Ω load. With supply voltages up to ±18 V (+36 V single supply), the AD8274 is well suited for measuring large industrial signals. Additionally, the part’s resistor divider architecture allows it to measure voltages beyond the supplies. With no external components, the AD8274 can be configured as a G = ½ or G = 2 difference amplifier. For single-ended applications that need high gain stability or low distortion performance, the AD8274 can also be configured for several gains ranging from −2 to +3.The excellent distortion and dc performance of the AD8274, along with its high slew rate and bandwidth, make it an excellent ADC driver. Because of the part’s high output drive, it also makes a very good cable driver. The AD8274 only requires 2.6 mA maximum supply current. It is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C and is fully RoHS compliant. For the dual version, see the AD8273 data sheet.Applications ADC driver High performance audio Instrumentation amplifier building blocks Level translators Automatic test equipment Sine/cosine encoders

AMP01AX
Analog Devices Inc.
The AMP011 is a monolithic instrumentation amplifierdesigned for high-precision data acquisition and instrumentationapplications. The design combines the conventionalfeatures of an instrumentation amplifier with a high currentoutput stage. The output remains stable with high capacitanceloads (1 μF), a unique ability for an instrumentation amplifier.Consequently, the AMP01 can amplify low level signals fortransmission through long cables without requiring an outputbuffer. The output stage can be configured as a voltage orcurrent generator.Input offset voltage is very low (20 μV), which generallyeliminates the external null potentiometer. Temperature changeshave minimal effect on offset; TCVIOS is typically 0.15 μV/°C.Excellent low frequency noise performance is achieved with aminimal compromise on input protection. The bias current isvery low, less than 10 nA over the military temperature range.High common-mode rejection of 130 dB, 16-bit linearity at again of 1000, and 50 mA peak output current are achievablesimultaneously. This combination takes the instrumentationamplifier one step further towards the ideal amplifier.AC performance complements the superb dc specifications. TheAMP01 slews at 4.5 V/μs into capacitive loads of up to 15 nF, settlesin 50 μs to 0.01% at a gain of 1000, and boasts a healthy 26 MHzgain bandwidth product. These features make the AMP01 idealfor high speed data acquisition systems. The gain is set by the ratio of two external resistors over a range of0.1 to 10,000. A very low gain temperature coefficient of 10 ppm/°Cis achievable over the whole gain range. Output voltage swing isguaranteed with three load resistances: 50 Ω, 500 Ω, and 2 kΩ.Loaded with 500 Ω, the output delivers ±13.0 V minimum. Athermal shutdown circuit prevents destruction of the outputtransistors during overload conditions. The AMP01 can also be configured as a high performanceoperational amplifier. In many applications, the AMP01 can beused in place of op amp/power buffer combinations.1 Protected under U.S. Patents 4,471,321 and 4,503,381.

The AMP-02 is the first precision instrumentation amplifier available in an 8-pin package. Gain of the AMP-02 is set by a single external resistor, and can range from 1 to 10,000. No gain set resistor is required for unity gain. The AMP-02 includes an input protection network that allows the inputs to be taken 60V beyond either supply rail without damaging the device.Laser trimming reduces the input offset voltage to under 100 µV. Output offset voltage is below 4 mV and gain accuracy is better than 0.5% for gain of 1000. PMI's proprietary thin-film resistor process keeps the gain temperature coefficient under 50 ppm/°C.Due to the AMP-02's design, its bandwidth remains very high over a wide range of gain. Slew rate is over 4V/µS making the AMP-02 ideal for fast data acquisition systems.A reference pin is provided to allow the output to be referenced to an external DC level. This pin may be used for offset correction or level shifting as required. In the 8-pin package, sense is internally connected to the output. For an instrumentation amplifier with the highest precision, consult the AMP-01 data sheet.

AD8310ARMZ-REEL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8310 is a complete, dc to 440 MHz demodulating logarithmic amplifier (log amp) with a very fast voltage mode output, capable of driving up to 25 mA into a grounded load in under 15 ns. It uses the progressive compression (successive detection) technique to provide a dynamic range of up to 95 dB to ±3 dB law conformance or 90 dB to a ±1 dB error bound up to 100 MHz. It is extremely stable and easy to use, requiring no significant external components. A single-supply voltage of 2.7 V to 5.5 V at 8 mA is needed, corresponding to a power consumption of only 24 mW at 3 V. A fast-acting CMOS-compatible enable pin is provided. Each of the six cascaded amplifier/limiter cells has a small-signal gain of 14.3 dB, with a −3 dB bandwidth of 900 MHz. A total of nine detector cells are used to provide a dynamic range that extends from −91 dBV (where 0 dBV is defined as the amplitude of a 1 V rms sine wave), an amplitude of about ±40 μV, up to +4 dBV (or ±2.2 V). The demodulated output is accurately scaled, with a log slope of 24 mV/dB and an intercept of −108 dBV. The scaling parameters are supply- and temperature-independent.The fully differential input offers a moderately high impedance (1 kΩ in parallel with about 1 pF). A simple network can match the input to 50 Ω and provide a power sensitivity of −78 dBm to +17 dBm. The logarithmic linearity is typically within ±0.4 dB up to 100 MHz over the central portion of the range, but it is somewhat greater at 440 MHz. There is no minimum frequency limit; the AD8310 can be used down to low audio frequencies. Special filtering features are provided to support this wide range. The output voltage runs from a noise-limited lower boundary of 400 mV to an upper limit within 200 mV of the supply voltage for light loads. The slope and intercept can be readily altered using external resistors. The output is tolerant of a wide variety of load conditions and is stable with capacitive loads of 100 pF.The AD8310 provides a unique combination of low cost, small size, low power consumption, high accuracy and stability, high dynamic range, a frequency range encompassing audio to UHF, fast response time, and good load-driving capabilities, making this product useful in numerous applications that require the reduction of a signal to its decibel equivalent. The AD8310 is available in the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C in an 8-lead MSOP package.Applications Conversion of signal level to decibel form Transmitter antenna power measurement Receiver signal strength indication (RSSI) Low cost radar and sonar signal processing Network and spectrum analyzers Signal-level determination down to 20 Hz True-decibel ac mode for multimeters
