AD8667ARMZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8663 / AD8667 / AD8669 are rail-to-rail output amplifiersthat use the Analog Devices, Inc., patented DigiTrim® trimmingtechnique to achieve low offset voltage. The AD8663 / AD8667 /AD8669 feature an extended operating range with supplyvoltages up to 16 V. They also feature low input bias current, low input offset voltage, and low current noise. The combination of low offset, very low input bias current, anda wide supply range makes these amplifiers useful in a wide varietyof applications usually associated with higher priced JFET amplifiers.Systems using high impedance sensors, such as photodiodes, benefit from the combination of low input bias current, lownoise, low offset, and wide bandwidth. The ability to operate the device for single (5 V to 16 V) or dualsupplies (±2.5 V to ±8 V) supports many applications. The railto-railoutputs provide increased dynamic range to drive lowfrequency data converters. The low bias current drift is wellsuitedfor precision I-to-V converters. The combination ofprecision offset, offset drift, and low noise also make the opamps ideal for gain, dc offset adjust, and active filter in bothinstrumentation and medical applications. These low powerop amps can be used in IR thermometers, pH and ORP instruments, pressure transducer front ends, and other sensor signalconditioning circuits that are used in remote or wirelessapplications. The AD8663 / AD8667 / AD8669 are specified over the extendedindustrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. AD8675ARMZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8675 precision operational amplifier has ultralow offset, drift, and voltage noise combined with very low input bias currents over the full operating temperature range. The AD8675 is a precision, wide bandwidth op amp featuring rail-to-rail output swings and very low noise. Operation is fully specified from ±5 V to ±15 V.The AD8675 features a rail-to-rail output like that of the OP184, but with wide bandwidth and even lower voltage noise, com-bined with the precision and low power consumption like that of the industry-standard OP07 amplifier. Unlike other low noise, rail-to-rail op amps, the AD8675 has very low input bias current and low input current noise. With typical offset voltage of only 10 μV, offset drift of 0.2 μV/°C, and noise of only 0.10 μV p-p (0.1 Hz to 10 Hz), the AD8675 is perfectly suited for applications where large error sources cannot be tolerated. For applications with even lower offset tolerances, the proprietary nulling capability allows a combination of both device and system offset errors up to 3.5 mV (referred to the input) to be compensated externally. Unlike previous circuits, the AD8675 accommodates this adjustment without adversely affecting the offset drift, CMRR, and PSRR of the amplifier. Precision instrumentation, PLL, and other precision filter circuits, position and pressure sensors, medical instrumentation, and strain gage amplifiers benefit greatly from the very low noise, low input bias current, and wide bandwidth. Many systems can take advantage of the low noise, dc precision, and rail-to-rail output swing provided by the AD8675 to maximize SNR and dynamic range. The smaller packages and low power consumption afforded by the AD8675 allow maximum channel density or minimum board size for space-critical equipment. The AD8675 is specified for the extended industrial temperature range (−40°C to +125°C). The AD8675 amplifier is available in the tiny 8-lead MSOP, and the popular 8-lead, narrow SOIC, RoHS compliant packages. MSOP packaged devices are only available in tape and reel format.Applications Precision instrumentation PLL filters Laser diode control loops Strain gage amplifiers Medical instrumentation Thermocouple amplifiers

AD22057RZ-RL

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD22057 is a single-supply difference amplifier for the amplification and low-pass filtering of small differential voltages from sources having a large common-mode voltage.Supply voltages from +3 V to +36 V can be used. The input common-mode range extends from below ground to 24 V using a +5 V supply with excellent rejection of this common-mode voltage. This range is achieved by the use of a special resitive attenuator at the input, laser trimmed to a very high differential balance. Low initial offset voltage and offset voltage drift are specified, and long-term stability of gain and offset voltage is also provided.Provisions are included for optional low-pass filtering and gain adjustment. An accurate midscale offset feature allows bipolar signals to be amplified.

AD600ARZ-R7

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD600/AD602 dual channel, low noise, variable gain amplifiers are optimized for use in ultrasound imaging systems, but are applicable to any application requiring precise gain, low noise and distortion, and wide bandwidth. Each independent channel provides a gain of 0 dB to +40 dB in the AD600 and -10 dB to +30 dB in the AD602. The lower gain of the AD602 results in an improved signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the output. However, both products have the same 1.4 nV/√Hz input noise spectral density. The decibel gain is directly proportional to the control voltage, accurately calibrated, and supply and temperature-stable.To achieve the difficult performance objectives, a proprietary circuit form, the X-AMP®, was developed. Each channel of the X-AMP comprises a variable attenuator of 0 dB to -42.14 dB followed by a high speed fixed gain amplifier. In this way, the amplifier never has to cope with large inputs, and can benefit from the use of negative feedback to precisely define the gain and dynamics. The attenuator is realized as a 7-stage R-2R ladder network having an input resistance of 100 W, laser trimmed to ±2%. The attenuation between tap points is 6.02 dB; the gain-control circuit provides continuous interpolation between these taps. The resulting control function is linear in dB.The gain-control interfaces are fully differential, providing an input resistance of ~15 M W and a scale factor of 32 dB/V (that is, 31.25 mV/dB) defined by an internal voltage reference. The response time of this interface is less than 1 µs. Each channel also has an independent gating facility that optionally blocks signal transmission and sets the dc output level to within a few millivolts of the output ground. The gating control input is TTL- and CMOS-compatible.The maximum gain of the AD600 is 41.07 dB, and the maximum gain of the AD602 is 31.07 dB; the -3 dB bandwidth of both models is nominally 35 MHz, essentially independent of the gain. The SNR for a 1 V rms output and a 1 MHz noise bandwidth is typically 76 dB for the AD600 and 86 dB for the AD602. The amplitude response is flat within ±0.5 dB from 100 kHz to 10 MHz; over this frequency range, the group delay varies by less than ±2 ns at all gain settings. Each amplifier channel can drive 100 W load impedances with low distortion. For example, the peak specified output is ±2.5 V minimum into a 500 W load, or ±1 V into a 100 W load. For a 200 W load in shunt with 5 pF, the total harmonic distortion for a ±1 V sinusoidal output at 10 MHz is typically -60 dBc.The AD600J/AD602J are specified for operation from 0°C to 70°C and are available in 16-lead PDIP (N) and 16-lead SOIC packages. The AD600A/AD602A are specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C and are available in 16-lead CERDIP (Q) and 16-lead SOIC packages. The AD600S/AD602S are specified for operation from -55°C to +125°C, are available in a 16-lead CERDIP (Q) package, and are MIL-STD-883 compliant. AD640JNZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD640 is a complete monolithic logarithmic amplifier. A singleAD640 provides up to 50 dB of dynamic range for frequenciesfrom dc to 120 MHz. Two AD640s in cascade can provide up to95 dB of dynamic range at reduced bandwidth. The AD640 uses asuccessive detection scheme to provide an output current proportionalto the logarithm of the input voltage. It is laser calibrated toclose tolerances and maintains high accuracy over the full militarytemperature range using supply voltages from ±4.5 V to ±7.5 V.The AD640 comprises five cascaded dc-coupled amplifier/limiterstages, each having a small signal voltage gain of 10 dB and a –3 dBbandwidth of 350 MHz. Each stage has an associated full-wavedetector, whose output current depends on the absolute value of itsinput voltage. The five outputs are summed to provide the videooutput (when low-pass filtered) scaled at 1 mA per decade (50 µAper dB). On chip resistors can be used to convert this output currentto a voltage with several convenient slope options. A balancedsignal output at +50 dB (referred to input) is provided to operateAD640s in cascade. The logarithmic response is absolutely calibrated to within ±1 dBfor dc or square wave inputs from ±0.75 mV to ±200 mV, withan intercept (logarithmic offset) at 1 mV dc. An integral X10attenuator provides an alternative input range of ±7.5 mV to±2 V dc. Scaling is also guaranteed for sinusoidal inputs. The AD640B is specified for the industrial temperature range of–40°C to +85°C and the AD640T, available processed to MILSTD-883B,for the military range of –55°C to +125°C. Both areavailable in 20-lead side-brazed ceramic DIPs or leadless chipcarriers (LCC). The AD640J is specified for the commercialtemperature range of 0°C to +70°C, and is available in both20-lead plastic DIP (N) and PLCC (P) packages. This device is now available to Standard Military Drawing(DESC) number 5962-9095501MRA and 5962-9095501M2A.Product Highlights Absolute calibration of a wideband logarithmic amplifier is unique. The AD640 is a high accuracy measurement device, not simply a logarithmic building block. Advanced design results in unprecedented stability over the full military temperature range. The fully differential signal path greatly reduces the risk of instability due to inadequate power supply decoupling and shared ground connections, a serious problem with commonly used unbalanced designs. Differential interfaces also ensure that the appropriate ground connection can be chosen for each signal port. They further increase versatility and simplify applications. The signal input impedance is ~500 kΩ in shunt with ~2 pF. The dc-coupled signal path eliminates the need for numerous interstage coupling capacitors and simplifies logarithmic conversion of subsonic signals. The low input offset voltage of 50 µV (200 µV max) ensures good accuracy for low level dc inputs. Thermal recovery “tails,” which can obscure the response when a small signal immediately follows a high level input, have been minimized by special attention to design details. The noise spectral density of 2 nV/√Hz results in a noise floor of ~23 µV rms (–80 dBm) at a bandwidth of 100 MHz. The dynamic range using cascaded AD640s can be extended to 95 dB by the inclusion of a simple filter between the two devices.Applications Radar, sonar, ultrasonic and audio systems Precision instrumentation from DC to 120 MHz Power measurement with absolute calibration Wide range high accuracy signal compression Alternative to discrete and hybrid IF strips Replaces several discrete log amp ICs
