AD8214ARMZ-R7

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8214 is a fast response, high common-mode voltage, current shunt comparator. The device operates on the high side rail of any DC current sensing application, provided the voltage is between 5 V and 65 V. Internally, the AD8214 features a fast comparator that is optimized for high side operation. An internal Zener regulator powers the circuit with respect to the high side DC rail. In addition, user access to this 2.4V regulator, allows for setting a comparator threshold voltage via external resistors. The AD8214 will compare the voltage across the shunt resistor to this user-selected threshold, and the AD8214 output will change states from low to high, indicating the current across the shunt has crossed the threshold level. The input to output response time of the AD8214 is typically less than 100 ns. This makes the device optimal for overcurrent protection in applications such as motor and solenoid control. Built-in comparator hysteresis means that once the current across the shunt falls back to a normal limit, the AD8214 output will change states to its original level. The AD8214 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package. The operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C, and the device is fully qualified for automotive applications.ApplicationsOvercurrent protection Motor controls Transmission controls Diesel injection controls DC-to-DC converters Power supplies Batteries

AD8220BRMZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8220 is the first single-supply, JFET input instrumentation amplifier available in an MSOP package. Designed to meet the needs of high performance, portable instrumentation, the AD8220 has a minimum common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 86 dB at dc and a minimum CMRR of 80 dB at 5 kHz for G = 1. Maximum input bias current is 10 pA and typically remains below 300 pA over the entire industrial temperature range. Despite the JFET inputs, the AD8220 typically has a noise corner of only 10 Hz.With the proliferation of mixed-signal processing, the number of power supplies required in each system has grown. The AD8220 is designed to alleviate this problem. The AD8220 can operate on a ±18 V dual supply, as well as on a single +5 V supply. Its rail-to-rail output stage maximizes dynamic range on the low voltage supplies common in portable applications. Its ability to run on a single 5 V supply eliminates the need to use higher voltage, dual supplies. The AD8220 draws a maximum of 750 μA of quiescent current, making it ideal for battery powered devices.Gain is set from 1 to 1000 with a single resistor. Increasing the gain increases the common-mode rejection. Measurements that need higher CMRR when reading small signals benefit when the AD8220 is set for large gains.A reference pin allows the user to offset the output voltage. This feature is useful when interfacing with analog-to-digital converters. The AD8220 is available in an MSOP that takes roughly half the board area of an SOIC. Performance for the A and B grade is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C, and the W grade is specified over the automotive temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.Applications Medical instrumentation Precision data acquisition Transducer interfaces

The AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 are single-, dual-, and quad-precision JFET amplifiers that feature low offset voltage, input bias current, input voltage noise, and input current noise. The combination of low offsets, low noise, and very low input bias currents makes these amplifiers especially suitable for high impedance sensor amplification and precise current measurements using shunts. The combination of dc precision, low noise, and fast settling time results in superior accuracy in medical instruments, electronic measurement, and automated test equipment. Unlike many competitive amplifiers, the AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 maintain their fast settling performance even with substantial capacitive loads. Unlike many older JFET amplifiers, the AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 do not suffer from output phase reversal when input voltages exceed the maximum common-mode voltage range.Fast slew rate and great stability with capacitive loads make the AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 a perfect fit for high performance filters. Low input bias currents, low offset, and low noise result in a wide dynamic range of photodiode amplifier circuits. Low noise and distortion, high output current, and excellent speed make the AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 great choices for audio applications. The AD8510 / AD8512 are both available in 8-lead narrow SOIC_N and 8-lead MSOP packages. MSOP-packaged devices are only available in tape and reel. The AD8513 is available in 14-lead SOIC_N and TSSOP packages. The AD8510 / AD8512 / AD8513 are specified over the −40°C to +125°C extended industrial temperature range.APPLICATIONS Instrumentation Multipole filters Precision current measurement Photodiode amplifiers Sensors Audio
