ADBMS2950 and ADBMS2952 are Battery Pack Monitors for electrical and hybrid vehicles, and other current or voltage sense applications. ADBMS2950 and ADBMS2952 measure the current flowing in and out of a battery pack by sensing the voltage drop over a shunt resistor with a very low offset.ADBMS2950 and ADBMS2952 also detect Overcurrent conditions using fast Overcurrent ADCs with digital threshold comparators and communicate their results through dedicated Overcurrent alert lines with minimum delay.ADBMS2950 and ADBMS2952 feature a total of 12 internally buffered high impedance inputs for measuring voltages from external sensors or resistor dividers, enabling measurement of pack voltages, temperatures, HV-Link voltages, chassis isolation, and the supervision of the state of contactors and fuses. Six digital outputs (GPO) supporting open-drain or push-pull can be used to control high voltage transistors to disconnect external resistor dividers. Four digital general-purpose inputs/outputs (GPIO) also allow operation as an I2C or SPI controller interface to address an external EEPROM or other serial peripherals.The built-in serial interface of ADBMS2950 can be configured for SPI or isolated isoSPI communication to the host. An additional isoSPI port allows to connect a daisy chain of ADBMS2950 devices; optionally extended with ADBMS6830 or ADBMS6832 (ADBMS683x) Cell Monitors. The MAX77860 is a high-performance single input switch mode charger that features USB Type-C CC detection capability in addition to reverse boost capability and a Safeout LDO.This switched-mode battery charger with two integrated switches, provides small inductor and capacitor sizes, programmable battery charging current, and is ideally suited for portable devices such as smartphones, IoT devices, and other Li-ion battery powered electronics. The charger features a single input, which works for both USB and high voltage adapters. It supports USB Type-C CC detection under BC 1.2 specification, and the power-path switch is integrated in the chip. All MAX77860 blocks connected to the adapter/USB pin are protected from input overvoltage events up to 14V. The USB-OTG output provides true-load disconnect and is protected by an adjustable output current limit. It has an input current limit up to 4.0A and can charge a single-cell battery up to 3.15A. When configured in reverse-boost mode, the IC requires no additional inductors to power USB-OTG accessories. The switching charger is designed with a special CC, CV, and die temperature regulation algorithm, as well as I2C programmable settings to accommodate a wide range of battery sizes and system loads. The on-chip ADC can help monitor the charging input voltage/current, battery voltage, charging/discharging current, and the battery temperature.The MAX77860 communicates through an I2C 3.0 compatible serial interface consisting of a bidirectional serial data line (SDA) and a serial clock line (SCL). The LTC4076 is a standalone linear charger that is capable of charging a single-cell Li-Ion battery from both wall adapter and USB inputs. The charger can detect power at the inputs and automatically select the appropriate power source for charging.No external sense resistor or blocking diode is required for charging due to the internal MOSFET architecture. Internal thermal feedback regulates the battery charge current to maintain a constant die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The float voltage is fixed at 4.2V and the charge current is programmed with an external resistor. The LTC4076 terminates the charge cycle when the charge current drops below the user programmed termination threshold after the final float voltage is reached. The LTC4076 can be put into shutdown mode reducing the DCIN supply current to 20µA, the USBIN supply current to 10µA, and the battery drain current to less than 2µA even with power applied to both inputs.Other features include automatic recharge, undervoltage lockout, charge status output, power present status output to indicate the presence of wall adapter or USB power and high power/low power mode (C/5) for USB compatible applications.Applications Cellular Telephones Handheld Computers Portable MP3 Players Digital Cameras
