The HMC734 is a GaAs InGaP Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) MMIC VCO. The HMC734 integrates a resonator, negative resistance device, varactor diode and features a divide-by-4 frequency output. The VCO's phase noise performance is excellent over temperature, shock, and process due to the oscillator's monolithic structure. Power output is +18 dBm typical from a +5V supply voltage. The prescaler function can be disabled to conserve current if not required. The HMC702 is a SiGe BiCMOS fractional-N frequency synthesizer. The synthesizer includes a 8GHz 16-bit RF N-Divider, a 24-bit delta-sigma modulator, a very low noise digital phase frequency detector (PFD), and a precision controlled charge pump. In addition the synthesizer supports an external step tuned VCO.The fractional synthesizer features an advanced delta-sigma modulator design that allows ultra-fine frequency step sizes. The synthesizer features the ability to alter both the phase-frequency detector (PFD) gain and the cycle slipping characteristics of the PFD. This feature can reduce the time to arrive at the new frequency by 50% vs. conventional PFDs. Ultra low in-close phase noise also allows wider loop bandwidths for faster frequency hopping.The synthesizer contains a built-in linear sweeper function, which allows it to perform frequency chirps with a wide variety of sweep times, polarities and dwells, all with an external or automatic sweep trigger.A General Purpose Output (GPO) bus supports the use of multiple VCO s. The delay control is linearly monotonic with respect to the control voltage, VDC and the control input has a modulation bandwidth of 600MHz.The device provides a differential output voltage with constant amplitude for single-ended or differential input voltages above the input sensitivity level, while the output voltage swing may be adjusted using the VAC control pin.The HMC910LC4B features internal temperature compensation and bias circuitry to minimize delay variations with temperature. The device also features an enable pin, ENB. All RF input and outputs of the HMC910LC4B are internally terminated with 50 Ohms to Vcc, and may either be AC or DC coupled. The LTC6905 precision, programmable silicon oscillator is easy to use and occupies very little board space. It requires only a single resistor to set the output frequency from 17MHz to 170MHz with a typical frequency error of 0.5% or less.The LTC6905 operates with a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply and provides a rail-to-rail, 50% duty cycle square wave output. The CMOS output driver ensures fast rise/fall times and rail-to-rail switching. Operation is simple: A single resistor, RSET, between 10K to 25K is used to set the frequency, and an internal three-state divider (DIV input) allows for division of the master clock by 1, 2 or 4, providing three frequencies for each RSET value.The LTC6905 features a proprietary feedback loop that linearizes the relationship between RSET and frequency, eliminating the need for tables to calculate frequency.
