The MAX20078 is a high-voltage, synchronous n-channel MOSFET controller for high-current buck LED drivers. The device uses a proprietary average current-mode-control scheme to regulate the inductor current. This control method does not need any control-loop compensation while maintaining nearly constant switching frequency. Inductor current sense is achieved by sensing the current in the bottom synchronous n-channel MOSFET. It does not require any current sense at high voltages. The device operates over a wide 4.5V to 65V input range. The device is designed for high-frequency operation and can operate at switching frequencies as high as 1MHz. The high- and low-side gate drivers have peak source and sink current capability of 2A. The driver block also includes a logic circuit that provides an adaptive nonoverlap time to prevent shoot-through currents during transition. The device includes both analog and PWM dimming. The device includes a 5V VCC regulator capable of delivering 10mA to external circuitry. The device also includes a current monitor that provides an analog voltage proportional to the inductor current. The device has a fault flag that indicates open and shorts across the output. Protection features include inductor current-limit protection, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown. The MAX20078 is available in a space-saving (3mm × 3mm), 16-pin TQFN or a 16-pin TSSOP package and is specified to operate over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range. The MAX20090 is a single-channel high-brightness LED (HB LED) driver for automotive front-light applications such as high beam, low beam, daytime running lights (DRLs), turn indicators, fog lights, and other LED lights. It can take an input voltage from 5V to 65V and drive a string of LEDs with a maximum output voltage of 65V. The device senses output current at the high side of the LED string. High-side current sensing is required to protect for shorts from the output to the ground or battery input. It is also the most flexible scheme for driving LEDs, allowing boost, high-side buck, SEPIC mode, or buck-boost-mode configurations. The PWM input provides LED dimming ratios of up to 1000:1, and the ICTRL input provides additional analog dimming capability in the controller. The device also includes a fault flag ( active-low FLT) that indicates open string, shorted string, and thermal shutdown. The device has built-in spread-spectrum modulation for improved electromagnetic-compatibility performance. The MAX33053E and MAX33054E are +3.3V CAN (Control Area Network) transceivers with integrated protection for industrial applications. These devices have extended ±65V fault protection for equipment where overvoltage protection is required. It also incorporates high ±25kV ESD HBM and an input common mode range (CMR) of ±25V, exceeding the ISO11898 specification of -2V to +7V. This makes these parts well-suited for applications that are in electrically noisy environments where the ground planes are shifting relative to each other. This family features a variety of options to address common CAN application requirements; logic-level supply input VL for interfacing with 1.62V to 3.6V logic, low-current standby mode, silent-mode to disable the transmitter, and a slow slew rate to minimize EMI.These devices operate at a high-speed CAN data rate, allowing up to 2Mbps on small networks. Maximum speed on large networks may be limited by the number of nodes in a network, the type of cabling used, stub length, and other factors. These transceivers include a dominant timeout to prevent bus lockup caused by controller error or by a fault on the TXD input. When TXD remains in the dominant state (low) for longer than TDOM, the driver is switched to the recessive state, releasing the bus. The MAX33053E features an S pin where it enables and disables the transmitter for applications where you need the transceiver to receive only. The LTC4309 hot swappable 2-wire bus buffer allows I/O card insertion into a live backplane without corruption of the data and clock busses. The LTC4309 provides bidirectional buffering, keeping the backplane and card capacitances isolated. Low offset and high VOL tolerance allows cascading of multiple devices on the clock and data busses. If SDAOUT or SCLOUT are low for 30ms, FAULT will pull low indicating a stuck bus low condition. If DISCEN is tied high, the LTC4309 will automatically break the bus connection and generate up to 16 clock pulses and a stop bit in an attempt to free the bus. A connection will resume if the stuck bus is cleared. If DISCEN is connected to GND, the busses will remain connected with no clock or stop bit generation. ACC input enables rise-time accelerators for high capacitively loaded busses.During insertion, the SDA and SCL lines are precharged to 1V to minimize bus disturbances. When driven high, the ENABLE input allows the LTC4309 to connect after a stop bit or bus idle. Driving ENABLE low breaks the connection between SDAIN and SDAOUT, SCLIN and SCLOUT. These devices feature an internal low-dropout regulator (LDO), one driver, and one receiver. The internalLDO allows the part to operate from an unregulated power supply of up to 28V. The AutoDirection feature reduces the number of optical isolators needed in isolated applications. Other features include enhanced ESD protection, fail-safe circuitry, slew-rate limiting, and full-speed operation.The MAX13410E–MAX13415E internal LDO generates a 5V ±10% power supply that is used to power its internal circuitry. The MAX13412E–MAX13415E bring the 5V to an output VREG that allows the user to power additional external circuitry with up to 20mA to further reduce external components. The MAX13410E/MAX13411E do not have a 5V output and come in industry-compatible pinouts.
