The LTM2882 is a complete galvanically isolated dual RS232 μModule® (micromodule) transceiver. No external components are required. A single 3.3V or 5V supply powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. A logic supply pin allows easy interfacing with different logic levels from 1.62V to 5.5V, independent of the main supply.Coupled inductors and an isolation power transformer provide 2500VRMS of isolation between the line transceiver and the logic interface. This device is ideal for systems with different grounds, allowing for large common mode voltages. Uninterrupted communication is guaranteed for common mode transients greater than 30kV/μs.This part is compatible with the TIA/EIA-232-F standard. Driver outputs are protected from overload and can be shorted to ground or up to ±15V without damage. An auxiliary isolated digital channel is available. The ADuM2210 / ADuM22111 are 2-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics that are superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers.Typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with these iCoupler products. Furthermore, iCoupler devices run atone-tenth to one-sixth the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates.The ADuM2210 / ADuM2211 isolators provide two independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates. They operate with the supply voltage of either side ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. The ADuM2210W and ADuM2211W are automotive grade versions.Similar to the ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 isolators, the ADuM2210 / ADuM2211 isolators contain various circuit and layout enhancements to provide increased capability relative to system-level IEC 61000-4-x testing (ESD, burst, and surge). The precise capability in these tests for either the ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 or ADuM2210 / ADuM2211 products is strongly determined by the design and layout of the user’s board or module. The ADM1490E / ADM1491E are RS-485 transceivers with ±8 kV ESD protection and is suitable for high speed, full-duplex communication on multipoint transmission lines. In particular, the ADM1491E is designed for use in motor control applications requiring communications at data rates up to 16 Mbps.The ADM1491E is designed for balanced transmission lines and complies with TIA/EIA-485-A-98. The device has a 12 kΩ receiver input impedance for unit load RS-485 operation allowing up to 32 nodes on the bus.The differential transmitter outputs and receiver inputs feature electrostatic discharge circuitry that provides protection to ±8 kV using the human body model (HBM).The ADM1491E operates from a single 5 V power supply. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or output shorting is prevented by short-circuit protection and thermal circuitry.Short-circuit protection circuits limit the maximum output current to ±250 mA during fault conditions. A thermal shutdown circuit senses if the die temperature rises above 150°C and forces the driver outputs into a high impedance state under this condition.The receiver of the ADM1491E contains a fail-safe feature that results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating).The ADM1491E features extremely fast and closely matched switching times.
