The AD7306 line driver/receiver is a 5 V monolithic product which provides an interface between TTL signal levels and dual standard EIA RS-232/RS-422 signal levels. The part contains two RS-232 drivers, one RS-422 driver, one RS-232 receiver, and one receiver path which can be configured either as RS-232 or as RS-422.An internal charge pump voltage converter facilitates operation from a single +5 V power supply. The internal charge pump generates ±10 V levels allowing RS-232 output levels to be developed without the need for external bipolar power supplies.A highly efficient charge pump design allows operation using non polarized, miniature 0.1 mF capacitors. This gives a considerable saving in printed circuit board space over conventional products which can use up to 10 mF capacitors. The charge pump output voltages may also be used to power external circuitry which requires dual supplies.The RS-232 channels are suitable for communications rates up to 100 kHz and the RS-422 channels are suitable for high speed communications up to 5 MHz. The RS-422 transmitter complementaryoutputs are closely matched and feature low timing skew between the complementary outputs. This is often an essential requirement to meet tight system timing specifications.All inputs feature ESD protection, all driver outputs feature high source and sink current capability and are internally protected against short circuits on the outputs. The AD8018 is a dual, high speed, low cost amplifier capable of driving low distortion signals to within 0.5 V of the supply rail. It is intended for use in single supply xDSL systems where low distortion and low cost is essential, and maximum reach on the line must be attained with the minimum of supply voltages. Each amplifier drives minimum 350 mA of output current and while maintaining -95 dBc of SFDR at 100 kHz, outstanding performance for any xDSL CPE application. The AD8018 is available with flexible standby and shutdown modes. Two bit control (1.5 V threshold referenced to DGND) will put the AD8018 into a full power standby (outputs low impedance) and shutdown (outputs high impedance).Fabricated in ADI's high speed XFCB process, the high bandwidth and fast slew rate of the AD8018 keep distortion to a minimum, while dissipating a minimum of power. The quiescent current of the AD8018 is low 9 mA/amplifier max. Low distortion, high output voltage drive, and high output current drive in small packages make the AD8018 ideal for use in low cost USB, PCMCIA and PCI Customer Premise Equipment for ADSL, SDSL, VDSL and proprietary xDSL systems.An evaluation board is available for this product and may be ordered using the following product number AD8018ARU-EVAL.

It is designed for balanced data transmission and complies with both EIA Standards RS-485 and RS-422. The part contains a differential line driver and a differential line receiver. Both the driver and the receiver may be enabled independently. When disabled, the outputs are tristated.The ADM1485 operates from a single +5 V power supply. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or by output shorting is prevented by a thermal shutdown circuit. This feature forces the driver output into a high impedance state if during fault conditions a significant temperature increase is detected in the internal driver circuitry.Up to 32 transceivers may be connected simultaneously on a bus, but only one driver should be enabled at any time. It is important therefore that the remaining disabled drivers do not load the bus. To ensure this, the ADM1485 driver features high output impedance when disabled and also when powered down.This minimizes the loading effect when the transceiver is not being utilized. The high impedance driver output is maintained over the entire common-mode voltage range from -7 V to +12 V.The receiver contains a fail safe feature which results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating).The ADM1485 is fabricated in BiCMOS, an advanced mixed technology process combining low power CMOS with fast switching bipolar technology. The LTC4310 provides bidirectional I2C communications between two I2C buses whose grounds are isolated from one another. Each LTC4310 encodes I2C bus logic states into signals that are transmitted across an isolation barrier to another LTC4310. The receiving LTC4310 decodes the transmission and drives its l2C bus to the appropriate logic state. The isolation barrier can be bridged by an inexpensive Ethernet, or other transformer, to achieve communications across voltage differences reaching thousands of volts, or it can be bridged by capacitors for lower voltage isolation. The LTC4310-1 is intended for use in 100kHz I2C systems. The LTC4310-2 is intended for 400kHz I2C systems.Rise time accelerators provide strong pull-up currents on SCL and SDA rising edges to meet rise time specifications for heavily loaded systems. Data and clock Hot Swap? circuitry prevent data corruption when a card is inserted into or removed from a live bus. When a bus is stuck low for 37ms, the LTC4310 turns off its pull-down devices and generates up to sixteen clocks and a STOP bit in an attempt to free the bus.
