The ADM3251E is a high speed, 2.5 kV fully isolated, single-channel RS-232/V.28 transceiver device that operates from asingle 5 V power supply. Due to the high ESD protection on the RIN and TOUT pins, the device is ideally suited for operation in electrically harsh environments or where RS-232 cables arefrequently being plugged and unplugged.The ADM3251E incorporates dual-channel digital isolators withisoPower™ integrated, isolated power. There is no requirement to use a separate isolated dc-to-dc converter. Chip-scale transformer iCoupler® technology from Analog Devices, Inc., is used both for the isolation of the logic signals as well as for the integrated dc-to-dc converter. The ADM307xE are 3.3 V, low power data transceivers with ±15 kV ESD protection suitable for full- and half-duplex communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. They are designed for balanced data transmission, and they comply with TIA/EIA standards: RS-485 and RS-422.The devices have a ⅛ unit load receiver input impedance, which allows up to 256 transceivers on a bus. The ADM3310E is a three-driver/five-receiver serial port transceiver, which meets EIA-232 standards while operating from a single power supply as low as +2.7V. It is similar to the ADM3311E but with two of the Receivers remain Active during Shutdown. The ADM2xxE is a family of robust RS-232 and V.28 interface devices which operates from a single +5 V power supply. These products are suitable for operation in harsh electrical environments and are compliant with the EU directive on EMC (89/336/ EEC). Both the level of emissions and immunity are in compliance. EM immunity includes ESD protection in excess of ±15 kV on all I-O lines (1000-4-2), Fast Transient Burst protection (1000-4-4) and Radiated Immunity (1000-4-3). EM emissions include radiated and conducted emissions as required by Information Technology Equipment EN55022, CISPR22.All devices fully conform to the EIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications and operate at data rates up to 230 kbps.
