The ADuM640x devices are quad-channel digital isolators with isoPower®, an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. Based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, the DC/DC converter provides up to 500 mW of regulated, isolated power at either 5.0 V or 3.3 V from a 5.0 V input supply, or 3.3 V from a 3.3 V supply at the power levels shown in Table 1. This eliminates the need for a separate, isolated DC/DC converter in low power, isolated designs. The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology is used to isolate the logic signals and for the magnetic components of the DC/DC converter. The result is a small form factor, total isolation solution.The ADuM640x isolators provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide for more information).isoPower uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken during printed circuit board (PCB) layout to meet emissions standards. Refer to the AN-0971 application note for board layout recommendations.

The LTC4310 provides bidirectional I2C communications between two I2C buses whose grounds are isolated from one another. Each LTC4310 encodes I2C bus logic states into signals that are transmitted across an isolation barrier to another LTC4310. The receiving LTC4310 decodes the transmission and drives its l2C bus to the appropriate logic state. The isolation barrier can be bridged by an inexpensive Ethernet, or other transformer, to achieve communications across voltage differences reaching thousands of volts, or it can be bridged by capacitors for lower voltage isolation. The LTC4310-1 is intended for use in 100kHz I2C systems. The LTC4310-2 is intended for 400kHz I2C systems.Rise time accelerators provide strong pull-up currents on SCL and SDA rising edges to meet rise time specifications for heavily loaded systems. Data and clock Hot Swap™ circuitry prevent data corruption when a card is inserted into or removed from a live bus. When a bus is stuck low for 37ms, the LTC4310 turns off its pull-down devices and generates up to sixteen clocks and a STOP bit in an attempt to free the bus. The ADD5205 is a white LED driver for backlight applications based on high efficiency, current mode, step-up converter technology. It is designed with a 0.3 Ω internal switch and 1 MHz fixed operating frequency. The ADD5205 contains four regulated constant current sources for uniform brightness intensity. Each current source is capable of driving up to 25 mA.The ADD5205 has four parallel strings of multiple series connected LEDs with ±2% current matching. The device provides adjustable current sources that drive up to 25 mA using an external resistor. The LED current can be controlled by a PWM signal input on the PWM pin. An internal circuit translates the PWM signal to an analog signal with an external capacitor and linearly controls the LED current.The ADD5205 has multiple safety protection features to prevent any damage during fault conditions. If one or more LEDs are open, the device disables the faulty current regulator automatically. The internal soft start prevents inrush current during startup. The ADM3051 is a controller area network (CAN) physicallayer transceiver allowing a protocol layer CAN controller toaccess the physical layer bus. The ADM3051 complies withthe ISO 11898 standard. It is capable of running at data rates upto 1 Mbps.The device has current-limiting and thermal shutdown featuresto protect against output short circuits and situations where thebus may be shorted to ground or power terminals in 24 V buspower systems. The ADuM2280 / ADuM2281 / ADuM2285 / ADuM2286 (also referred to as ADuM228x in this data sheet) are 5 kV rms dual-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers.With propagation delay at 24 ns maximum, pulse width distortion is less than 2 ns for C grade. Channel-to-channel matching is tight at 5 ns for C grade. The ADuM228x are available in two channel configurations with three different data rates up to 100 Mbps (see the Ordering Guide). All models operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier.
