The LTC4358 is a 5A ideal diode that uses an internal 20mΩ N-channel MOSFET to replace a Schottky diode when used in diode-OR and high current diode applications. The LTC4358 reduces power consumption, heat dissipation, and PC board area. The LTC4358 easily ORs power supplies together to increase total system reliability. In diode-OR applications, the LTC4358 regulates the forward voltage drop across the internal MOSFET to ensure smooth current transfer from one path to the other without oscillation. If the power source fails or is shorted, a fast turnoff minimizes reverse current transients.Applications N+1 Redundant Power Supplies High Availability Systems Telecom Infrastructure Automotive Systems

The LTC4110 is a complete single chip, high efficiency, flyback battery charge and discharge manager with automatic switchover between the input supply and the backup battery or super capacitor. The IC provides four modes of operation: battery backup, battery charge, battery calibration and shutdown. Battery backup and battery charge are automatic standalone modes, while the optional calibration mode requires a CPU host to communicate over an SMBus. During calibration the flyback charger is used in reverse to discharge the battery with a programmable constant current into the system load eliminating heat generation. Three status outputs can be individually reconfigured over the SMBus to become GPIOs. User programmable over-discharge protection is provided. The SHDN pin isolates the battery to support shipping the product with a charged battery installed. Multiple LTC4110s can be combined to form a redundant battery backup system or increase the number of battery packs to achieve longer backup run times. The LTC4110 is available in a low profile (0.75mm), 38-pin 5mm × 7mm QFN package. The QFN features an exposed metal die mount pad for optimum thermal performance.Applications Backup Battery Systems Server Memory Backup Medical Equipment High Reliability Systems

The LT8495 is an adjustable frequency (250kHz to 1.5MHz) monolithic switching regulator with a power-on reset and watchdog timer. Quiescent current can be less than 9μA when operating and is ~0.3μA when SWEN, WDE and RSTIN are low. Configurable as a SEPIC, boost or flyback converter, the low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output current while keeping output ripple below 10mV. Dual supply pins (VIN and BIAS) allow the part to automatically operate from the most efficient supply. Input supply voltage can be up to 60V for SEPIC topologies and up to 32V (with ride-through up to 60V) for boost and flyback topologies. After start-up, battery life is extended since the part can draw current from its output (BIAS) even when VIN voltage drops below 2.5V.The reset and watchdog timeout periods are independently adjustable using external capacitors. Using a resistor divider on the SWEN pin provides a programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for the converter. A resistor divider connected to RSTIN provides UVLO control that asserts the RST pin.Additional features such as frequency foldback and soft-start are integrated. Fault tolerance in the TSSOP allows for adjacent pin shorts or an open without raising the output voltage above its programmed value. The LT8495 is available in 20-lead QFN and 20-lead TSSOP packages with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.Applications Automotive ECU Power Power for Portable Products Industrial Supplies

The LTC2977 is an 8-channel Power System Manager used to sequence, trim (servo), margin, supervise, manage faults, provide telemetry and create fault logs. PMBus commands support power supply sequencing, precision point-of-load voltage adjustment and margining. DACs use a proprietary soft-connect algorithm to minimize supply disturbances. Supervisory functions include overvoltage and undervoltage threshold limits for eight power supply output channels and one power supply input channel, as well as over and under temperature limits. Programmable fault responses can disable the power supplies with optional retry after a fault is detected. Faults that disable a power supply can automatically trigger black box EEPROM storage of fault status and associated telemetry. An internal 16-bit ADC monitors eight output voltages, one input voltage, and die temperature. In addition, odd numbered channels can be configured to measure the voltage across a current sense resistor. A programmable watchdog timer monitors microprocessor activity for a stalled condition and resets the microprocessor if necessary. A single wire bus synchronizes power supplies across multiple LTC Power System Management (PSM) devices. Configuration EEPROM with ECC supports autonomous operation without additional software.APPLICATIONS Computers and Network Servers Industrial Test and Measurement High Reliability Systems Medical Imaging Video
