The ADP2140 includes a high efficiency, low quiescent 600 mAstepdown dc-to-dc converter and a 300 mA LDO packaged in asmall 10-lead 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP. The total solution requiresonly four tiny external components.The buck regulator uses a proprietary high speed current-mode,constant frequency, pulse-width modulation (PWM) controlscheme for excellent stability and transient response. To ensurethe longest battery life in portable applications, the ADP2140 hasa power saving variable frequency mode to reduce switching frequencyunder light loads.The LDO is a low quiescent current, low dropout linear regulatordesigned to operate in a split supply mode with VIN2 as low as1.65 V. The low input voltage minimum allows the LDO to bepowered from the output of the buck regulator increasing efficiencyand reducing power dissipation. The ADP2140 runs frominput voltages of 2.3 V to 5.5 V allowing single Li+/Li− polymer cell, multiple alkaline/NiMH cell, PCMCIA, and other standardpower sources.ADP2140 includes a power-good pin, soft start, and internal compensation. Numerous power sequencing options are user-selectable through two enable inputs. In autosequencing mode, the highest voltage output enables on the rising edge of EN1. During logic controlled shutdown, the input disconnects from the output and draws less than 300 nA from the input source. Other key features include: undervoltage lockout to prevent deep battery discharge, soft start to prevent input current overshoot at startup, and both short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection circuits to prevent damage in adverse conditions.When the ADP2140 is used with two 0603 capacitors, one 0402capacitor, one 0402 resistor, and one 0805 chip inductor, the totalsolution size is approximately 90 mm2 resulting in the smallest footprintsolution to meet a variety of portable applications.Applications Mobile phones Personal media players Digital camera and audio devices Portable and battery-powered equipment

The LTC4269-1 is an integrated Powered Device (PD) controller and switching regulator intended for high power IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af applications. The LTC4269-1 is targeted for high efficiency, single and multioutput applications from 10W to 25W. By supporting both 1-event and 2-event classifications, as defined by the IEEE, the LTC4269-1 can be used in a wide range of product configurations. The LTC4269-1 synchronous, current mode, flyback controller generates multiple supply rails in a single conversion step providing for the highest system efficiency while maintaining tight regulation across all outputs. The LTC4269-1 includes patented No-Opto feedback topology to provide full IEEE 802.3 isolation without the need of an opto-isolator circuit. A true soft-start function allows graceful ramp-up of all output voltages. All PD solutions from ADI include a shutdown pin to provide flexible auxiliary power options. The LTC4269-1 can accommodate adaptor voltages from 18V to 60V and supports both PoE or aux dominance options. The LT8415 is an ultralow power boost converter with two integrated complementary MOSFET half-bridges (N- and P-channel), integrated power switch, Schottky diode and output disconnect circuitry. The N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs in each half-bridge are synchronously controlled by a single input pin, and never turn on at the same time in typical applications.The boost regulator controls power delivery by varying both the peak inductor current and switch off-time. This control scheme results in low output voltage ripple as well as high efficiency over a wide load range. The quiescent current is a low 10.5μA, which is further reduced to 0μA in shutdown. The internal disconnect circuitry allows the output voltage to be blocked from the input during shutdown. High value (12.4M/0.4M) resistors are integrated on chip for output voltage detection, significantly reducing input referred quiescent current. The LTM4619 is a complete dual 4A or single 8A stepdown DC/DC μModule® (power module) regulator. Included in the package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor, and all support components. Operating over input voltage ranges of 4.5V to 26.5V, the LTM4619 supports two outputs with voltage ranges of 0.8V to 5V, each set by a single external resistor. Its high efficiency design delivers 4A continuous current (5A peak) for each output.High switching frequency and a current mode architecture enable a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability. The two outputs are interleaved with 180° phase to minimize the ripple noise and reduce the I/O capacitors. The device supports frequency synchronization and output voltage tracking for supply rail sequencing. Burst Mode operation or pulseskipping mode can be selected for light load operations.Fault protection features include overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection and foldback current limit for short-circuit protection.The low profile package (2.82mm) enables utilization of unused space on the bottom of PC boards for high density point of load regulation. The power module is offered in a 15mm × 15mm × 2.82mm LGA package. The LTC3860 is a dual, PolyPhase® synchronous stepdown switching regulator controller for high current distributed power systems, digital signal processors, and other telecom and industrial DC/DC power supplies. It uses a constant frequency voltage mode architecture combined with very low offset, high bandwidth error amplifiers and a remote output sense differential amplifier for excellent transient response and output regulation. The controller incorporates lossless inductor DCR current sensing to maintain current balance between phases and to provide overcurrent protection. The chip operates from a VCC supply between 3V and 5.5V and is designed for stepdown conversion from VIN between 3V and 24V to output voltages between 0.6V and VCC – 0.5V. The TRACK/SS pins provide programmable soft-start or tracking functions. Inductor current reversal is disabled during soft-start to safely power prebiased loads. The constant operating frequency can be synchronized to an external clock or linearly programmed from 250kHz to 1.25MHz. Up to six LTC3860 controllers can operate in parallel for 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- or 12-phase operation.
