Demonstration circuit DC1083A-B features the LTM4603HV, the high efficiency, high density step-down μModule® regulator. The input voltage range is from 4.5V to 28V. The output voltage is jumper programmable from 0.6V to 5V. The rated load current is 6A, while derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. Applying an external clock signal to the PLLIN pin forces the μModule regulator to operate at the same frequency.

The LTC4009 is a constant-current/constant-voltage battery charger controller. It uses a synchronous quasiconstant frequency PWM control architecture that will not generate audible noise with ceramic bulk capacitors. Charge current is set by the combination of external sense, input and programming resistors. With no built-in termination, the LTC4009 family charges a wide range of batteries under external control. The LTC4009 features a fully adjustable output voltage, while the LTC4009-1 and LTC4009-2 can be pin-programmed for lithium-ion/polymer battery packs of 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-series cells. The LTC4009-1 provides output voltage of 4.1V/cell, and the LTC4009-2 is a 4.2V/cell version. The device includes AC adapter input current limiting which maximizes the charge rate for a fixed input power level. An external sense resistor programs the input current limit, and the ICL status pin indicates when the battery charge current is being reduced as a result of AC adapter current limiting. Demonstration circuit DC1198B-A features the LTM4605EV, the high efficiency, high density switch mode buck-boost μModule® regulator. The LTM4605EV can regulate its output voltage from an input voltage above, below, or equal to the output. The input voltage range of DC1198B-A is from 4.5V to 20V with a preset output voltage of 12V. The rated load current is 5A, although derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The switching frequency may be synchronized to an external clock from 200kHz to 400kHz. This PLL can be used not only to reduce undesirable frequency harmonics but also to parallel LTM4605 to provide high output current.

Demonstration circuit 1247A features the LT3582 an I2C Programmable Boost and Single Inductor Inverting DC/DC Converters with OTP. It converts a 2.7V-5.5V source to two outputs, a positive and a negative. The positive output can be programmed from 3.2V to 12.775V at 25mV intervals and the negative from -1.2V to -13.95V at 50mV intervals, all via the QuickEval™ System. A DC590B is needed for evaluation of this demo board. Table 1 below shows the maximum expected load currents for some output/input combinations. The LT3582 features all integrated switches and feedback resistors, a low noise control scheme, positive output disconnect function, low quiescent current, built in softstart.

Demonstration circuits 1387A-A and A-B are Ultralow Power Boost Converters with Output Disconnect featuring the LT8410 and LT8410-1. Both versions convert a 3V-10V source. The -A version supplies 1.6mA at 3VIN and the -B supplies 0.5mA Both versions feature a low noise variable off-time and variable peak current control scheme, integrated Schottky diode and output disconnect function, ultralow quiescent current, built-in soft-start and overvoltage protection.

The LTC1682/LTC1682-3.3/LTC1682-5 are doubler charge pumps with an internal low noise, low dropout (LDO) linear regulator. These parts are designed to provide a low noise boosted supply voltage for powering noise sensitive devices such as high frequency VCOs in wireless applications.An internal doubler charge pump converts a 1.8V to 4.4V input to a boosted output, while the internal LDO regulator converts the boosted voltage to a low noise regulated output. The adjustable version allows the user to set VOUT via external resistors connected to FB. The regulator is capable of supplying up to 50mA of output current. Shutdown reduces the supply current to < 5?A, removes the load from VIN by disabling the regulator and discharges VOUT to ground through a 100? switch.The LTC1682 LDO regulator is stable with only 2?F on the output. Demonstration circuit 2539A is an IEEE802.3bt (Draft 2.1) compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD). It features the LT4295 PD interface and switching regulator controller and the LT4321 PoE ideal diode bridge controller.

The LT8672 is an active rectifier controller for reverse input protection. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET to replace a power Schottky diode. Its very low quiescent current and fast transient response meet the tough requirements in automotive applications where AC input signals of up to 100kHz are present. These signals are rectified with minimum power dissipation on the external FET, simplifying thermal management on the PCB.With a drop of only 20mV, the LT8672 solution eases the minimum input voltage requirement during cold crank and start-stop, allowing simpler and more efficient circuits. If the input power source fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse current transients. An available shutdown mode reduces the quiescent current to 3.5?A.An integrated auxiliary boost regulator provides the required boost voltage to turn the external FET fully on.
