The LT1317/LT1317B are micropower, fixed frequency step-up DC/DC converters that operate over a wide input voltage range of 1.5V to 12V. The LT1317 features automatic shifting to power saving Burst Mode? operation at light loads. High efficiency is maintained over a broad 300?A to 200mA load range. Peak switch current during Burst Mode operation is kept below 250mA for most operating conditions which results in low output ripple voltage, even at high input voltages. The LT1317B does not shift into Burst Mode operation at light loads, eliminating low frequency output ripple at the expense of light load efficiency. The LT1317/LT1317B contain an internal low-battery detector with a 200mV reference that stays alive when the device goes into shutdown.No-load quiescent current of the LT1317 is 100?A and shuts down to 30?A. The internal NPN power switch handles a 500mA current with a voltage drop of just 300mV.The LT1317/LT1317B are available in MS8 and SO-8 packages.Applications Cellular Telephones Cordless Telephones Pagers GPS Receivers Battery Backup Portable Electronic Equipment Glucose Meters Diagnostic Medical Instrumentation

The LTC3875 is a dual output current mode synchronous step-down DC/DC controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stages. It employs a unique architecture that enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the current sense signal, allowing the use of very low DC resistance (DCR) power inductors to maximize efficiency in high current applications. This feature also reduces the switching jitter commonly found in low DCR applications with current mode control. The LTC3875 features two high speed differential amplifiers which can be used to compensate for the voltage drop from the LTC3875 to the load. Its DCR temperature compensated adjustable over current trip points from 10mV to 30mV limits the maximum output current precisely over temperature.A unique thermal balancing function adjusts per phase current to minimize the thermal stress for multichip single output applications. The LTC3875 is available in the 40- lead 6mm ? 6mm (0.5mm pitch) and 40-lead 5mm ? 5mm (0.4mm pitch) QFN packages.APPLICATIONS Servers and Instruments Telecom Systems DC Power Distribution Systems

The LTC1625 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator controller that drives external N-Channel power MOSFETs using few external components. Current mode control with MOSFET VDS sensing eliminates the need for a sense resistor and improves efficiency. The frequency of a nominal 150kHz internal oscillator can be synchronized to an external clock over a 1.5:1 frequency range.Burst Mode? operation at low load currents reduces switching losses and low dropout operation extends operating time in battery-powered systems. A forced continuous mode control pin can assist secondary winding regulation by disabling Burst Mode operation when the main output is lightly loaded.Fault protection is provided by foldback current limiting and an output overvoltage comparator. An external capacitor attached to the RUN/SS pin provides soft start capability for supply sequencing. A wide supply range allows operation from 3.7V (3.9V for LTC1625I) to 36V at the input and 1.19V to VIN at the output.Applications Notebook and Palmtop Computers, PDAs Cellular Telephones and Wireless Modems Battery Chargers Distributed Power
