Demonstration circuit 2157A features the LTM4630EY-1, the high efficiency, high density, dual 18A, switch mode step-down power module regulator with ±0.8% total DC output accuracy. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 1.8V. DC2157A can deliver up to 18A maximum in each channel. With the help of external compensation, ±3% transient accuracy can be achieved with 25% load step. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE jumper (JP1) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 36A output solution with optional jumper resistors.

Demonstration circuit of DC2194A features the LTM4642IY, the wide input voltage, high efficiency and power density, dual 4A or single 8A DC/DC step-down μModule regulator. The step-down regulator operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V (or 2.5V min. with 5V external bias voltage at CPWR) and provides an adjustable output voltage range from 0.6V to 5V at 4A load current per channel. The part is capable of operating in dual phase single output, delivers up to 8A load current with interleaved two phases at 180 degrees. Differential output voltage sensing is available on Channel 1 for applications requiring more accurate output load regulation. A user-selectable mode input is provided to allow users to trade off ripple noise for light load efficiency: Discontinuous Mode (DCM) of operation delivers higher efficiency at light load while Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) is preferred for noise sensitive applications.

Demonstration circuit 2249B features the LTM4622 µModule® regulator, a tiny low profile high performance high efficiency dual step-down regulator. The LTM4622 has an operating input voltage range of 3.6V to 20V and is able to provide an output current of up to 2.5A for each channel. Each output’s voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 5.5V. The LTM4622 is a complete DC-DC point of load regulator in a low profile thermally enhanced 6.25mm × 6.25mm × 1.82mm LGA package requiring only a few input and output capacitors. Output voltage tracking is available through the TRACK/SS pin for supply rail sequencing. External clock synchronization is available through the SYNC/MODE pin. For high efficiency at low load currents the MODE pin jumper (JP3) selects the Burst Mode® option for operation in less noise sensitive applications. The LTC3882 is a dual, PolyPhase DC/DC synchronous step-down switching regulator controller with PMBus compliant serial interface. It uses a constant frequency, leading-edge modulation, voltage mode architecture for excellent transient response and output regulation. Each PWM channel can produce output voltages from 0.5V to 5.25V using a wide range of 3.3V compatible power stages, including power blocks, DrMOS or discrete FET drivers.
