LTC3240EDC-2.5 Demo Board | Regulated Buck-Boost Charge Pump, 1.8V ≤ VIN ≤ 5.5V, VOUT = 2.5V @ Up to 150mA

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 903 is a step-up/step-down charge pump dc-dc converter. It comes with two assembly versions, DC903A-A and DC903A-B featuring the 150mA output current LTC3240-3.3 (3.3V output) and LTC3240-2.5 (2.5V output) respectively, each in a tiny 2mm x 2mm DFN package. The DC903A-A and DC903A-B operate with an input voltage from 1.8V to 5.5V. When using the DC903A-A, the output current can reach up to 150mA when the input voltage is above 2.5V. The maximum output current of the DC903A-B is 60mA with a 1.8V input voltage. The DC903A optimizes the output efficiency by operating in the LDO step-down mode during the time the input is higher than the output voltage. When the input voltage drops low enough, The LTC3240 automatically switches to charge-pump doubling mode to extend system run-time. Built-in soft-start limits inrush current at turn-on, and short-circuit current limit/thermal protection help the part survive a continuous short-circuit. Additionally, the DC903A features Automatic Burst Mode operation at light load to achieve low supply current (65µA, no load).

LT3080EDD Demo Board | Single Resistor Prog Linear Regulator, 2.3V ≤ VIN ≤ 25V, VOUT = 0.6V/1.0V/1.2V/1.5V/1.8V/2.5V/3.3V/5V @ 1.1A

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 995A is an adjustable 1.1A linear regulator featuring the LT3080. Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, it allows this new regulator to be used in many applications requiring high current, adjustability to zero output, and no heat sink. The device brings out the collector of the pass transistor to allow low dropout operation when used with multiple supplies. The demo board's input supply voltage range is 2.3V to 25V. For proper regulation, the LT3080 has a control pin; the voltage on this pin must be 1.2V to 1.35V higher than the output voltage. The output voltage is jumper selectable and can be set to 1.8V, a value between 0V and 5V (using trimpot R2) or a user-defined value. A key feature of the LT3080 is its wide output voltage range. By using a reference current through a single resistor, the output voltage can be programmed to any level between zero and 36V. The DC995A has a reduced input voltage 25V due to input capacitor voltage rating. The DC995A can be used as a high current linear regulator, a post regulator for switching supply,a  variable voltage supply or a low output voltage power supply.

EVAL-ADM1278EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1278 is a hot swap controller that allows a circuit board to be removed from or inserted into a live backplane. It also features current, voltage, power, and temperature readback via an integrated 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), accessed using a PMBus? interface. The load current is measured using an internal current sense amplifier that measures the voltage across a sense resistor in the power path via the HS+ and HS? pins. A default current limit of 20 mV is set, but this limit can be adjusted, if required. The ADM1278 limits the current through the sense resistor by controlling the gate voltage of an external N-channel FET in the power path, via the GATE pin. The sense voltage, and therefore the load current, is maintained below the preset maximum. The ADM1278 protects the external FET by limiting the time that the FET remains on while the current is at its maximum value. This current-limit time is set by the choice of capacitor connected to the TIMER pin. In addition, a constant power foldback scheme is used to control the power dissipation in the MOSFET during power-up and fault conditions. The level of this power, along with the TIMER regulation time, can be set to ensure that the MOSFET remains within safe operating area (SOA) limits. In case of a short-circuit event, a fast internal overcurrent detector responds within 320 ns and signals the gate to shut down. A 1500 mA pull-down device ensures a fast FET response. The ADM1278 features overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) protection, programmed using external resistor dividers on the UV and OV pins. A PWRGD signal can be used to detect when the output supply is valid, using the PWGIN pin to accurately monitor the output. The ADM1278 is available in a 32-lead LFCSP with a RETRY pin that can be configured for automatic retry or latch-off when an overcurrent fault occurs.Applications Servers Power monitoring and control/power budgeting Telecommunication and data communication equipment?
