The HMC265 chip is a sub-harmonically pumped (x2) MMIC downconverter with integrated LO & IF amplifiers. The chip utilizes a GaAs PHEMT technology that results in a small overall chip area of 1.74 mm2. The 2LO to RF isolation is excellent eliminating the need for additional filtering. The LO amplifier is a single bias (+3V to +4V) two stage design with only -4 dBm nominal drive requirement. All data is with the chip in a 50 ohm test fixture connected via 0.025 mm (1 mil) diameter wire bonds of minimal length <0.31 mm (<12 mils). The HMC316MS8(E) is a miniature double balanced mixer in 8 lead plastic surface mount package. The passive GaAs schottky diode mixer implements planar on chip balun transformers, and requires no external components. The mixer can be used as an upconverter, downconverter, or modulator. At mid-band the mixer provides 7.5 dB conversion loss and +25 dBm IIP3 with LO drive levels of +19 dBm. The HMC320MS8G(E) is a low cost C-band fixed gain Low Noise Amplifier (LNA). The HMC320MS8G(E) operates using a single positive supply that can be set between +3V and +5V. With +3V bias, the LNA provides a noise figure of 2.5dB, 12dB gain and better than 10dB return loss across the UNII band. The HMC320MS8G(E) also feature an adaptive baising that allows the user to select the optimal P1dB performance for their system using an external set resistor on the “RES” pin. P1dB performance can be set between a range of +1 dBm to +13dBm. The low cost LNA uses an 8-leaded MSOP ground base surface mount plastic package, which occupies less than 14.8mm².Applications UNII HiperLAN

The HMC402MS8(E) is a high dynamic range passive MMIC mixers in plastic surface mount 8 lead Mini Small Outline Package (MSOP) covering 1.8 to 2.2 GHz. Excellent input IP3 performance of +31 dBm for down conversion and +27 dBm for up conversion is provided for 2.5G & 3G GSM/CDMA based UMTS or PCS applications at an LO drive of +17 dBm. With a 1dB compression of +21 dBm, the RF port will accept a wide range of input signal levels. Conversion loss is 8.5dB typical and LO isolations are maintained at 24 to 30 dB.This miniature single-ended monolithic GaAs FET mixer does not require any external components or bias. The broad 50 to 500 MHz IF frequency response will satisfy many UMTS/ PCS transmit or receive frequency plans con    i gured for high side LO.
