The ADF4001 frequency synthesizer can be used to implement clock sources for PLLs that require very low noise, stable reference signals. It consists of a low-noise digital PFD (Phase Frequency Detector), a precision charge pump, a programmable reference divider, and a programmable 13-bit N counter. In addition, the 14-bit reference counter (R Counter), allows selectable REFIN frequencies at the PFD input. A complete PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) or VCXO (Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator). The N min value of 1 allows flexibility in clock generation.

The ADF4360-3 is a fully integrated integer-N synthesizer andvoltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The ADF4360-3 is designedfor a center frequency of 1750 MHz. In addition, there is adivide-by-2 option available, whereby the user gets an RF output of between 800 MHz and 975 MHz. Control of all the on-chip registers is through a simple 3-wire interface. The device operates with a power supply ranging from 3.0 V to 3.6 V and can be powered down when not in use.

The AD8314 is a complete low cost subsystem for the measurement and control of RF signals in the frequency range of 100 MHz to 2.7 GHz, with a typical dynamic range of 45 dB, intended for use in a wide variety of cellular handsets and other wireless devices. It provides a wider dynamic range and better accuracy than possible using discrete diode detectors. In particular, its temperature stability is excellent over the full operating range of -40°C to +85°C.The AD8314 is available in 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead LFCSP packages and consumes 4.5 mA from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. When powered down, the typical sleep current is 20 µA.An evaluation board is available for this product and may be ordered using the following product number: AD8314-EVAL. Schematic and layout for this evaluation board is contained in the product datasheet.

The AD8351 is a low cost differential amplifier useful in RF andIF applications up to 2.2 GHz. The voltage gain can be set fromunity to 26 dB using a single external gain resistor. The AD8351provides a nominal 150 Ω differential output impedance. The ADL5356 uses a highly linear, doubly balanced, passive mixer core along with integrated RF and local oscillator (LO) balancing circuitry to allow single-ended operation. The ADL5356 incorporates the RF baluns, allowing for optimal performance over a 1200 MHz to 2500 MHz RF input frequency range. Performance is optimized for RF frequencies from 1700 MHz to 2500 MHz using a low-side LO and RF frequencies from 1200 MHz to 1700 MHz using a high-side LO. The balanced passive mixer arrangement provides good LO-to-RF leakage, typically better than −35 dBm, and excellent intermodulation performance. The balanced mixer core also provides extremely high input linearity, allowing the device to be used in demanding cellular applications where in-band blocking signals may otherwise result in the degradation of dynamic performance. A high linearity IF buffer amplifier follows the passive mixer core to yield a typical power conversion gain of 8.2 dB and can be used with a wide range of output impedances.The ADL5356 provides two switched LO paths that can be used in TDD applications where it is desirable to ping-pong between two local oscillators. LO current can be externally set using a resistor to minimize dc current commensurate with the desired level of performance. For low voltage applications, the ADL5356 is capable of operation at voltages down to 3.3 V with substantially reduced current. Under low voltage operation, an additional logic pin is provided to power down (<300 μA) the circuit when desired.The ADL5356 is fabricated using a BiCMOS high performance IC process. The device is available in a 6 mm × 6 mm, 36-lead LFCSP and operates over a −40°C to +85°C temperature range.
