The MAX9621 is a continuation of the Maxim family of Hall-effect sensor interfaces that already includes the MAX9921. The MAX9621 provides a single-chip solution to interface two 2-wire Hall-effect sensors to low voltage microprocessors (µP) through either a digital output for Hall-effect switches or an analog output for linear information or both.The MAX9621 protects the Hall sensors from supply transients up to 60V at the BAT supply. Normal operating supply voltage ranges from 5.5V to 18V. If the BAT supply rises above 18V, the MAX9621 shuts off the current to the Hall sensors. The LM75 temperature sensor includes a delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter, and a digital overtemperature detector. The host can query the LM75 through itsI²C interface to read temperature at any time. The open-drain overtemperature output (OS) sinks current when the programmable temperature limit is exceeded. The OS output operates in either of two modes, comparatoror interrupt. The host controls the temperature at which the alarm is asserted (TOS) and the hysteresis temperature below which the alarm condition is not valid (THYST). Also, the LM75's TOS and THYST registers can be read by the host. The address of the LM75 is set with three pins to allow multiple devices to work on the same bus. The LTK001 is a thermocouple amplifier supplied with a matched cold junction compensator. By separating the amplifier and compensator functions, the problem of compensator temperature rise is virtually eliminated. The compensator is a selected version of the LT1025 cold junction compensator. The amplifier, which is also available separately as LTKA0x has been specially selected for thermocouple applications. It has low supply current to minimize warmup drift, very low offset voltage (<35µV), high gain, and extremely low input bias currents (<600pA) to allow high impedance input filters to be used without degrading offset voltage or drift.Matching of the kits is accomplished by separating the compensators and amplifiers according to the polarity of their initial (room temperature) errors. The MAX6642 precise, two-channel digital temperature sensor accurately measures the temperature of its own die and a remote PN junction and reports the temperature data over a 2-wire serial interface. The remote PN junction is typically a substrate PNP transistor on the die of a CPU, ASIC, GPU, or FPGA. The remote PN junction can also be a discrete diode-connected small-signal transistor.The 2-wire serial interface accepts standard system management bus (SMBus™), Write Byte, Read Byte, Send Byte, and Receive Byte commands to read the temperature data and to program the alarm thresholds.
