An onboard sensorgenerates a voltage precisely proportional to absolute temperaturewhich is compared to an internal voltage reference andinput to a precision digital modulator. The ratiometric encodingformat of the serial digital output is independent of the clock drifterrors common to most serial modulation techniques such asvoltage-to-frequency converters.
