The ADXRS64x family of low noise, vibration rejecting yaw rate gyroscopes are drop-in performance upgrades to existing designs using the ADXRS62x family.The ADXRS649 is pin- and package-compatible to the ADXRS62x family and offers the highest rate of rotation sensing available with ?20,000?/sec and fast 3 millisecond (ms) startup for quick power cycling. This measurement range is extendable to ?50,000?/sec with the addition of an external resistor. It is ideally suited for applications where exceptionally wide measurement ranges are needed.The ADXRS649 is a complete angular rate sensor (gyroscope) that uses the Analog Devices, Inc., patented high volume BiMOS surface-micromachining process to make a complete gyro on one chip. An advanced, differential, quad sensor design rejects the influence of linear acceleration, enabling the ADXRS649 to offer rate sensing in harsh environments where shock and vibration are present.The output signal, RATEOUT (B1, A2), is a voltage proportional to the angular rate about the axis normal to the top surface of the package. The output is ratiometric with respect to a provided reference supply. An external capacitor is used to set the band-width. The measurement range is extendable to ?50,000?/sec by adding an external resistor. Low power consumption (3.5 mA) enables very low power consumption, and ultrafast startup (3 ms) allows for quick power cycling of the gyro. At 10 samples per second, a pair of CR2032 coin cells can power the ADXRS649 for three months.A temperature output is provided for compensation techniques. Two digital self-test inputs electromechanically excite the sensor to test proper operation of both the sensor and the signal condi-tioning circuits. ADPD1080 Evaluation Board, optimized for motion detection and long range proximity/presence detection applications

The EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX evaluation kit provides users with a simple means of connecting with the ADPD1080 hardware, collecting data from the ADPD1080, and evaluating long range proximity capabilities. The ADPD1080 hardware is configured with a large area, p-type, intrinsic, n-type (PIN) semiconductor photodiode as a proximity sensor. In this configuration, motion and proximity in front of the EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX are measured by detecting the amount of infrared (IR) light reflected off of objects and the change in IR light as objects move relative to the EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX. The evaluation kit requires the EVAL-ADPDM3Z and the Applications Wavetool, which can be downloaded from the EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX product page. The Applications Wavetool is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides users with low level and high level configurability, real-time data analysis, and user datagram protocol (UDP) transfer capabilities so that the evaluation board can easily connect to a PC. The USB port of the PC powers the EVAL-ADPDM3Z and the EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX. On-board voltage regulators provide voltage supplies for the ADPD1080. The evaluation board schematic indicates signal names for easy identification. Full specifications for the ADPD1080 are available in the ADPD1080 data sheet. Refer to both this data sheet and the EVAL-ADPD1080Z-PRX user guide when working with the evaluation board.

The ADPD2214 is an optical sensor optimized for biomedical applications. Very low power consumption and near theoretical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are achieved by packaging an ultralow capacitance deep junction silicon photodiode operated in zero bias photoconductive mode with a low noise current amplifier. The ADPD2214 offers a typical 75 kHz bandwidth performance, which is well suited for use with pulsed excitation. The ADPD2214 uses very little power during operation and incorporates a power-down pin, enabling power cycling to optimize battery life in portable applications. The ADPD2214 provides shot noise limited performance, making it an excellent choice for measuring signals with the highest possible fidelity in low light conditions. The ADPD4000/ADPD4001 operate as a complete multimodal sensor front end, stimulating up to eight LEDs and measuring the return signal on up to eight separate current inputs. Twelve time slots are available, enabling 12 separate measurements per sampling period.The data output and functional configuration utilize an I2C interface on the ADPD4001 or a serial port interface (SPI) on the ADPD4000. The control circuitry includes flexible LED signaling and synchronous detection. The devices use a 1.8 V analog core and 1.8 V/3.3 V compatible digital input/output (I/O).The analog front end (AFE) rejects signal offsets and corruption from asynchronous modulated interference, typically from ambient light, eliminating the need for optical filters or externally controlled dc cancellation circuitry. The ADXL313 is a small, thin, low power, 3-axis accelerometer with high resolution (13-bit) measurement up to ?4g. Digital output data is formatted as 16-bit twos complement and is accessible through either a serial port interface (SPI) (3-wire or 4-wire) or I2C digital interface.The ADXL313 is well suited for car alarm or black box applications. It measures the static acceleration of gravity in tilt-sensing applications, as well as dynamic acceleration resulting from motion or shock. Its high resolution (1024 LSB/g) and low noise (150 ?g/?Hz) enable resolution of inclination changes of as little as 0.1?. A built-in FIFO facilitates using oversampling techniques to improve resolution to as little as 0.025? of inclination.Several built-in sensing functions are provided. Activity and inactivity sensing detects the presence or absence of motion and whether the acceleration on any axis exceeds a user-set level. These functions can be mapped to interrupt output pins.
