ADSP-21160MKBZ-80
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADSP-21160M DSP is a SHARC processor that is optimized for applications such as telephony, medical imaging, radar/sonar electronics, communications, 3D graphics and imaging. The ADSP-21160M features a Single-Instruction-Multiple-Data (SIMD) architecture.Using two computational units (ALU, Barrel Shifter, MAC, Register files), the ADSP-21160M can have a five fold performance increase versus the ADSP-2106x on a range of DSP algorithms. It is code compatible with ADI's popular first generation ADSP-2106x SHARC DSPs. Like other SHARCs, the ADSP-21160M is a 32-bit processor that is optimized for high performance DSP applications. The ADSP-21160M includes an 80 MHz core for processing both 32-bit fixed-point and (32-bit, 40-bit) floating-point data types, a dual-ported 4 Mbit on-chip SRAM, an integrated I/O processor with multiprocessing support, and multiple internal busses to eliminate I/O bottlenecks. The ADSP-21160M is optimized for multiprocessing topologies; SHARC supports multiprocessing via link ports or an external port. In the diagram below, both cluster and link port multiprocessing is shown. Over the external port up to six 21160Ms may be connected together without any additional support logic. The arbitration for this shared bus is integrated on-chip. Each SHARC in the cluster has access to every SHARC's internal memory. Through the external port connection, optional external memory may be shared as well. The six link ports are another way to gluelessly connect a multiprocessing system. Both, the links and the cluster can be used simultaneously and systems with hundreds of SHARC DSPs can be developed using both peripherals.Maximize Speed, Minimize Size The ADSP-21160M is offered in a 27mm x 27mm 400-ball PBGA (Plastic Ball Grid Array) package 40% smaller than processors in this performance class.More Processing Per WattIn addition to small size and high performance, the 21160M's power dissipation enables new levels of MFLOPS per watt. The ADSP-21160M typical power dissipation is 2 watts, enabling 240 MFLOPS of performance per watt. This allows designers to use multiple processors on a PCI card within the PCI power limit of 25 watts. With eight 21160M DSPs, providing 480 MFLOPS each, a standard PCI card design can obtain 3.84 GFLOPS performance and leave 9 watts for other circuitry. The ADSP-21160M is supported by hundreds of readily available third-party hardware and software products and ADI's powerful VisualDSP++ development system, allowing for fast and easy development, debug and deployment.

DAC8228FPZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The DAC-8228 is a dual 8-bit, voltage output, CMOS, D/A converter in a single chip. It was designed to drop into AD7528 / AD7628 sockets eliminating two external op amps in applications such as hard diskdrives. These applications generally operate the AD7528 / AD7628 with zero volts applied to VREF and offset AGND to +2.5 or +5 volts. The DAC-8228 is tested under both these conditions. The DAC-8228 can also be used in those applications requiring a unipolar output voltage. It can deliver an output voltage between 0V and +10V with VDD = +14V (maximum output voltage is VDD -4V). The DAC-8228's reference input can accept a negative voltage from 0V to -10V (the DAC's internal unity-gain inverting amplifier inverts the input signal). Choose the DAC-8229 for bipolar operation. The DAC8228 offers CerDIP and plastic packaged devices in the extended industrial temperature range of -40° to +85°C. Applications requiring the military temperature range should use the DAC-8229. To make the DAC-8229 pin and functionally compatible with the DAC-8228, AGND A and AGND B should be tied together to function as VZ, and VSS connected to GND.The DAC-8228 consists of two CMOS voltage output amplifiers, two high-accuracy R-2R resistor ladder networks, interface control logic, and two 8-bit registers. An internal regulator maintains TTL logic compatibility and fast microprocessor interface timing over the full VDD range. The DAC-8228 dissipates only 90mW in the space saving 20-pin 0.3' DIP or the 20-lead SO surface mount package. Its compact size, low power, and economical cost per channel, makes it attractive for applications requiring multiple D/A converters without sacrificing circuit-board space. Reduced parts count also improves system reliability.Using PMI's advanced oxide-isolated, silicon-gate CMOS process, coupled with its highly-stable thin-film resistor ladder, allows the DAC-8228 to offer superior matching and temperature tracking between DACs.APPLICATIONS Disk Drive Systems Automatic Test Equipment Process/Industrial Controls Energy Controls Programmable Instrumentation Multi-Channel Microprocessor-Controlled Systems Servo Control Systems

EV-AD5415/49SDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5415 is a CMOS, 12-bit, dual channel, current output digital-to-analog converter. This device operates from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply, making it suited to battery-powered applications and other applications. As a result of being manufactured on a CMOS submicron process, this part offers excellent 4-quadrant multiplication characteristics, with large-signal multiplying bandwidths of 10 MHz.The applied external reference input voltage (VREF) determines the full scale output current. An integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full scale voltage output when combined with an external current to voltage precision amplifier. In addition, this device contains the 4-quadrant resistors necessary for bipolar operation and other configuration modes. This DAC uses a double buffered, 3-wire serial interface that is compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and most DSP interface standards. In addition, a serial data out pin (SDO) allows daisy-chaining when multiple packages are used. Data readback allows the user to read the contents of the DAC register via the SDO pin. On power-up, the internal shift register and latches are filled with 0s, and the DAC outputs are at zero scale. The AD5415 DAC is available in a 24-lead TSSOP package. The EVAL-AD5415/AD5449SDZ evaluation board is available for evaluating DAC performance. For more information, see the UG-296 evaluation board user guide.APPLICATIONS Portable battery-powered applications Waveform generators Analog processing Instrumentation applications Programmable amplifiers and attenuators Digitally controlled calibration Programmable filters and oscillators Composite video Ultrasound Gain, offset, and voltage trimming

AD842KNZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD842 is a member of the Analog Devices, Inc. family of wide bandwidth operational amplifiers. This device is fabricated using the Analog Device junction isolated complementary bipolar (CB) process. This process permits a combination of dc precision and wideband ac performance previously unobtainable in a monolithic op amp. In addition to its 80 MHz gain bandwidth product, the AD842 offers extremely fast settling characteristics, typically settling to within 0.01% of final value in less than 100 ns for a 10 V step. The AD842 also offers a low quiescent current of 13 mA, a high output current drive capability (100 mA minimum), a low input voltage noise of 9 nV√Hz, and a low input offset voltage (1.5 mV maximum). The 375 V/μs slew rate of the AD842, along with its 80 MHz gain bandwidth product, ensures excellent performance in video and pulse amplifier applications. This amplifier is ideally suited for use in high frequency signal conditioning circuits and wide bandwidth active filters. The extremely rapid settling time of the AD842 makes this amplifier the preferred choice for data acquisition applications requiring 12-bit accuracy. The AD842 is also appropriate for other applications, such as high speed DAC and ADC buffer amplifiers and other wide bandwidth circuitry.

AD848JRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD848 and AD849 are high speed, low power monolithic operational amplifiers. The AD848 is internally compensated so that it is stable for closed loop gains of 5 or greater. The AD849 is fully decompensated and is stable at gains greater than 24. The AD848 and AD849 achieve their combination of fast ac and good dc performance by utilizing Analog Devices' junction isolated complementary bipolar (CB) process. This process enables these op amps to achieve their high speed while only requiring 4.8 mA of current from the power supplies. The AD848 and AD849 are members of Analog Devices' family of high speed op amps. This family includes, among others, the AD847 which is unity gain stable, with a gain bandwidth of 50 MHz. For more demanding applications, the AD840, AD841 and AD842 offer even greater precision and greater output current drive. The AD848 and AD849 have good dc performance. When operating with ±5 V supplies, they offer open loop gains of 13 V/mV (AD848 with a 500 Ohm load) and low input offset voltage of 1 mV maximum. Common-mode rejection is a minimum of 92 dB. Output voltage swing is ±3 V even into loads as low as 150 Ohm.
