Demonstration circuit 2290A features the LTC2387 family. With up to 15Msps, these differential input, single channel, 18-/16-Bit, serial, high speed successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs are available in a 32-Pin QFN package. The LTC2387 family has an internal 20ppm/°C reference and a serial LVDS interface. The demo manual refers to the LTC2387 but applies to all members of the family, the only difference being the sample rate and the number of bits. The DC2290A demonstrates the AC performance of the LTC2387 in conjunction with the DC718 data collection board. Differential amplifier demo boards are available separately that provide amplification of low level differential signals if required. Alternatively, by connecting the DC2290A into a customer application the performance of the LTC2387 can be evaluated directly in that circuit.

Demonstration circuit 2307A is a high input voltage protected high side MOSFET driver featuring the LT1910ES8. This demo board has a wide input voltage range from 8V to 48V and is capable of protecting a voltage source against a short circuit. The LT1910 has a 50mV trip point for the selection of the current sense resistor RS1. The value of RS1 is 0.01Ω in this demo board which allows the output to deliver up to 5A. However, the RS1 footprint supports multiple sizes and can be replaced with up to a 2W device.

The LT3758/LT3758A are wide input range, current mode, DC/DC controllers which are capable of generating either positive or negative output voltages. Demonstration circuit 1471 is a monolithic step-down DC/DC switching regulator featuring the LT3990. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 2.2MHz. The demo circuit is designed for 5V, 350mA output from a 6.5V to 62V input. The wide input range of the LT3990 allows a variety of input sources including automotive batteries and 24V industrial supplies. Low ripple Burst Mode increases the efficiency at the light load while keeping the output ripple below 5mV in a typical application. The part is in shutdown when the EN pin is low and active when the pin is high. The threshold of the EN pin is accurate at 1V when VIN is above 4.2V. Adding a resistor divider from VIN to EN can program the LT3990 to regulate the output only when VIN is above a desired voltage. The catch diode and boost diode are integrated to reduce the components count and solution size. The circuit consumes only 2.5μA of quiescent current.
