EVAL-ADE7880EBZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADE7880 is high accuracy, 3-phase electrical energy measurement IC with serial interfaces and three flexible pulse outputs. The ADE7880 device incorporates second-order sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), a digital integrator, reference circuitry, and all of the signal processing required to perform the total (fundamental and harmonic) active, and apparent energy measurements, rms calculations, as well as fundamental-only active and reactive energy measurements. In addition, the ADE7880 computes the rms of harmonics on the phase and neutral currents and on the phase voltages, together with the active, reactive, and apparent power, and the power factor and harmonic distortion on each harmonic for all phases. Total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD + N) is computed for all currents and voltages. A fixed function digital signal processor (DSP) executes this signal processing. The DSP program is stored in the internal ROM memory. The ADE7880 is suitable for measuring active, reactive, and apparent energy in various 3-phase configurations, such as wye or delta services with both three and four wires. The ADE7880 provides system calibration features for each phase, that is, rms offset correction, phase calibration, and gain calibration. The CF1, CF2, and CF3 logic outputs provide a wide choice of power information: total active powers, apparent powers, or the sum of the current rms values, and fundamental active and reactive powers. The ADE7880 contains waveform sample registers that allow access to all ADC outputs. The devices also incorporate power quality measurements, such as short duration low or high voltage detections, short duration high current variations, line voltage period measurement, and angles between phase voltages and currents. Two serial interfaces, SPI and I2C, can be used to communicate with the ADE7880. A dedicated high speed interface, the high speed data capture (HSDC) port, can be used in conjunction with I2C to provide access to the ADC outputs and real-time power information. The ADE7880 also has two interrupt request pins, IRQ0 and IRQ1, to indicate that an enabled interrupt event has occurred. Three specially designed low power modes ensure the continuity of energy accumulation when the ADE7880 is in a tampering situation. The ADE7880 is available in the 40-lead LFCSP, Pb-free package, pin-for-pin compatible with ADE7854, ADE7858, ADE7868, and ADE7878 devices.APPLICATIONS Energy metering systems Power quality monitoring Solar inverters Process monitoring Protective devices

EVAL-ADXL362Z-MLP
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADXL362 is an ultralow power, 3-axis MEMS accelerometer that consumes less than 2 μA at a 100 Hz output data rate and 270 nA when in motion triggered wake-up mode. Unlike accelerometers that use power duty cycling to achieve low power consumption, the ADXL362 does not alias input signals by undersampling; it samples the full bandwidth of the sensor at all data rates. The ADXL362 always provides 12-bit output resolution; 8-bit formatted data is also provided for more efficient single-byte transfers when a lower resolution is sufficient. Measurement ranges of ±2 g, ±4 g, and ±8 g are available, with a resolution of 1 mg/LSB on the ±2 g range. For applications where a noise level lower than the normal 550 μg/√Hz of the ADXL362 is desired, either of two lower noise modes (down to 175 μg/√Hz typical) can be selected at minimal increase in supply current. In addition to its ultralow power consumption, the ADXL362 has many features to enable true system level power reduction. It includes a deep multimode output FIFO, a built-in micropower temperature sensor, and several activity detection modes including adjustable threshold sleep and wake-up operation that can run as low as 270 nA at a 6 Hz (approximate) measurement rate. A pin output is provided to directly control an external switch when activity is detected, if desired. In addition, the ADXL362 has provisions for external control of sampling time and/or an external clock. The ADXL362 operates on a wide 1.6 V to 3.5 V supply range, and can interface, if necessary, to a host operating on a separate, lower supply voltage. The ADXL362 is available in a 3 mm × 3.25 mm × 1.06 mm package.APPLICATIONS Hearing aids Home healthcare devices Motion enabled power save switches Wireless sensors Motion enabled metering devices

EVAL-SSM3302Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The SSM3302 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, stereo Class-D audio amplifier. The application circuit requires minimal externalcomponents and operates from a single 7 V to 18 V supply. The device is capable of delivering 2 × 10 W of continuous output power into a 4 Ω load (or 2 × 8 W into 8 Ω) with 98 dB. Spread spectrum pulse density modulation (PDM) is used toprovide lower EMI radiated emissions compared with other Class-D architectures. The SSM3302 includes an optional modulation select pin (ultralow EMI emission mode) that significantly reduces the radiated emissions at the Class-D outputs, particularly above 100 MHz. The SSM3302 can pass FCC Class-B emissions testing with an unshielded 20 inch cable using common-mode choke-based filtering. The fully differential input of the SSM3302 provides excellent rejection of common-mode noise on the input. The device also includes a highly flexible gain select pin that only requires one series resistor to choose a gain between 9 dB and 24 dB, with no change to the input impedance. The benefit of this is to improve gain matching between multiple SSM3302 devices within a single application compared with using external resistors to set gain. The SSM3302 includes an integrated voltage regulator thatgenerates a 5 V rail. The SSM3302 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 10 μA. Shutdown is enabled by applying a logic low to the SD pin. The device also includes pop-and-click suppression circuitry that minimizes voltage glitches at the output during turn on and turn off, reducing audible noise during activation and deactivation.Other included features to simplify system level integration of the SSM3302 are input low-pass filtering to suppress out-ofband DAC noise interference to the pulse density modulator, fixed input impedance to simplify component selection across multiple platform production builds, and a thermal warning indicator pin.The SSM3302 is specified over the commercial temperaturerange (−40°C to +85°C). It has built-in thermal shutdown andoutput short-circuit protection. AD688AQ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD688 is a high precision ±10 V tracking reference. Low tracking error, low initial error and low temperature drift give the AD688 reference absolute ±10 V accuracy performance previously unavailable in monolithic form. The AD688 uses a proprietary ion-implanted buried Zener diode, and laser-wafer-drift- trimming of high stability thin-film resistors to provide outstanding performance at low cost. The AD688 includes the basic reference cell and three additional amplifiers. The amplifiers are laser-trimmed for low offset and low drift and maintain the accuracy of the reference. The amplifiers are configured to allow Kelvin connections to the load and/or boosters for driving long lines or high current loads, delivering the full accuracy of the AD688 where it is required in the application circuit. The low initial error allows the AD688 to be used as a system reference in precision measurement applications requiring 12-bit absolute accuracy. In such systems, the AD688 can provide a known voltage for system calibration and the cost of periodic recalibration can therefore be eliminated. Furthermore, the mechanical instability of a trimming potentiometer and the potential for improper calibration can be eliminated by using the AD688 and calibration software. The AD688 is available in three versions. The AD688AQ and BQ grades are packaged in 16-pin cerdip (0.3') packages and are specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C. The AD688SQ grade is specified for operation from -55°C to +125°C.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Precision Tracking. The AD688 offers precision tracking ±10 V Kelvin output connections with no external components. Tracking error is less than 1.5 mV and fine-trim is available for applications requiring exact symmetry between the +10 V and −10 V outputs. Accuracy. The AD688 offers 12-bit absolute accuracy without any user adjustments. Optional fine-trim connections are provided for applications requiring higher precision. The fine-trimming does not alter the operating conditions of the Zener or the buffer amplifiers and thus does not increase the temperature drift. Low output noise. Output noise of the AD688 is low— typically 6 μVp-p. A pin is provided for broadband noise filtering using an external capacitor.

AD7305YRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7304 / AD7305 are quad, 8-bit DACs that operate from a single +3 V to +5 V supply or ±5 V supplies. The AD7304 has a serial interface, while the AD7305 has a parallel interface. Internal precision buffers swing rail-to-rail. The reference input range includes both supply rails allowing for positive or negative full-scale output voltages. Operation is guaranteed over the supply voltage range of +2.7 V, +5.5 V to ±5 V consuming less than 9 mW from a +3 V supply. The full-scale voltage output is determined by the external reference input voltage applied. The rail-to-rail VREF input to DAC VOUT allows for a full-scale voltage set equal the positive supply VDD, the negative supply VSS or any value in between. The AD7304's doubled-buffered serial-data interface offers high-speed, three-wire, SPI and micro controller compatible inputs using data in (SDI), clock (CLK) and chip select (CS) pins. Additionally, an internal power-on reset sets the output to zero scale. The parallel input AD7305 uses a standard address decode along with the WR control line to load data into the input registers. The double buffered architecture allows all four input registers to be preloaded with new values followed by a LDAC control strobe which copies all the new data into the DAC registers thereby updating the analog output values. The AD7305 is pin-compatible with the popular industry standard AD7226 when operating from less than +5.5 V.An internal power ON reset places both parts in the zero-scale state at turn ON. A 40 µA power shutdown (SHDN) feature is activated on both parts by tri-stating the SDI/SHDN pin on the AD7304, and tri-stating the A0/SHDN address pin on the AD7305. The AD7304 / AD7305 are specified over the extended industrial (−40°C to +85°C), and the automotive (−40°C to +125°C) temperature ranges.

AD7391ARZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7390 / AD7391 family of 10- and 12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converters are designed to operate from a single +3 volt supply. Built using a CBCMOS process, these monolithic DACs offer the user low cost, and ease-of-use in single-supply +3 V volt systems. Operation is guaranteed over the supply voltage range of +2.7 V to +5.5 V consuming less than 100 µA making this device ideal for battery operated applications. The full-scale voltage output is determined by the external reference input voltage applied. The rail-to-rail REFIN to DACOUT allows for a full-scale voltage set equal the positive supply VDD or any value in between.A doubled-buffered serial-data interface offers high-speed, three-wire, SPI and microcontroller compatible inputs using data in (SDI), clock (CLK) and chip select (CS/LD) pins. Additionally, a CLR input sets the output to zero scale at power on or upon user demand. Both parts are offered in the same pin out to allow the user to select the amount of resolution appropriate for their application without circuit card redesign. The AD7390 / AD7391 are specified over the extended industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature range. AD7390 / AD7391 are available in plastic DIP, and low profile 1.75 mm height SO-8 surface mount packages. For ultracompact applications the thin 1.1 mm TSSOP-8 package will be available.APPLICATIONS Automotive 0.5 V to 4.5 V Output Span Voltage Portable Communications Digitally Controlled Calibration
