AD8206YRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8206 is a single-supply difference amplifier for amplifying small differential voltages in the presence of large common-mode voltages. The operating input common-mode voltage range extends from -2 V to +65 V. The typical single-supply voltage is 5 V.The AD8206 is offered in an 8-lead SOIC package and it is rated throughout the automotive temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.Excellent DC performance over temperature keeps errors in the measurement loop to a minimum. Offset drift is typically less than 15 µV/°C, and gain drift is typically below 30 ppm/°C.The output offset can be adjusted from 0.08 V to 4.7 V witha 5 V supply by using the VREF1 and VREF2 pins. With VREF1 attached to the V+ pin, and VREF2 attached to the GND pin,the output is set at half scale. Attaching both pins to GND causes the output to be unipolar, starting near ground. Attaching both pins to V+ causes the output to be unipolar starting near V+. Other offsets can be obtained by applying an external voltage to the VREF1 and VREF2 pins.

AD829AQ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD829 is a low noise (1.7 nV/√Hz), high speed op amp with custom compensation that provides the user with gains of 1 to 20 while maintaining a bandwidth >50 MHz. Its 0.04° differential phase and 0.02% differential gain performance at 3.58 MHz and 4.43 MHz, driving reverse-terminated 50 Ω or 75 Ω cables, makes it ideally suited for professional video applications. The AD829 achieves its 230 V/μs uncompensated slew rate and 750 MHz gain bandwidth while requiring only 5 mA of current from power supplies. The external compensation pin of the AD829 gives it exceptional versatility. For example, compensation can be selected to optimize the bandwidth for a given load and power supply voltage. As a gain-of-2 line driver, the −3 dB bandwidth can be increased to 95 MHz at the expense of 1 dB of peaking. Its output can also be clamped at its external compensation pin.The AD829 exhibits excellent dc performance. It offers a minimum open-loop gain of 30 V/mV into loads as low as 500 Ω, a low input voltage noise of 1.7 nV/√Hz, and a low input offset voltage of 1 mV maximum. Common-mode rejection and power supply rejection ratios are both 120 dB.This op amp is also useful in multichannel, high speed data conversion where its fast (90 ns to 0.1%) settling time is important. In such applications, the AD829 serves as an input buffer for 8-bit to 10-bit ADCs and as an output I/V converter for high speed DACs.Operating as a traditional voltage feedback amplifier, the AD829 provides many of the advantages that a transimpedance amplifier offer. A bandwidth >50 MHz can be maintained for a range of gains through the replacement of the external compensation capacitor. The AD829 and the transimpedance amplifier are both unity-gain stable and provide similar voltage noise performance (1.7 nV/√Hz); however, the current noise of the AD829 (1.5 pA/√Hz) is less than 10% of the noise of transimpedance amplifiers. The inputs of the AD829 are symmetrical.

AD8305ACPZ-RL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8305 is an inexpensive microminiature logarithmic converter optimized for determining optical power in fiber optic systems. It uses an advanced implementation of a classic translinear (junction based) technique to provide a large dynamic range in a versatile and easily used form. A single-supply voltage of between 3 V and 12 V is adequate; dual supplies may optionally be used. The low quiescent current (typically 5 mA) permits use in battery-operated applications. The input current, IPD, of 10 nA to 1 mA applied to the INPT pin is the collector current of an optimally scaled NPN transistor, which converts this current to a voltage (VBE) with a precise logarithmic relationship. A second such converter is used to handle the reference current (IREF) applied to pin IREF. These input nodes are biased slightly above ground (0.5 V). This is generally acceptable for photodiode applications where the anode does not need to be grounded. Similarly, this bias voltage is easily accounted for in generating IREF. The output of the logarithmic front end is available at Pin VLOG.The basic logarithmic slope at this output is nominally 200 mV/decade (10 mV/dB). Thus, a 100 dB range corresponds to an output change of 1 V. When this voltage (or the buffer output) is applied to an ADC that permits an external reference voltage to be employed, the AD8305 voltage reference output of 2.5 V at Pin VREF can be used to improve the scaling accuracy. Suitable ADCs include the AD7810 (serial 10-bit), AD7823 (serial 8-bit), and AD7813 (parallel, 8-bit or 10-bit). Other values of the logarithmic slope can be provided using a simple external resistor network. The logarithmic intercept (also known as the reference current) is nominally positioned at 1 nA by the use of the externally generated current, IREF, of 10 μA, provided by a 200 kΩ resistor connected between VREF, at 2.5 V, and the reference input, IREF, at 0.5 V. The intercept can be adjusted over a wide range by varying this resistor. The AD8305 can also operate in a log ratio mode, with the numerator current applied to INPT and the denominator current applied to IREF.A buffer amplifier is provided for driving a substantial load, for use in raising the basic slope of 10 mV/dB to higher values, as a precision comparator (threshold detector), or in implementing low-pass filters. Its rail-to-rail output stage can swing to within 100 mV of the positive and negative supply rails, and its peak current sourcing capacity is 25 mA.It is a fundamental aspect of translinear logarithmic converters that the small signal bandwidth falls as the current level diminishes, and the low frequency noise-spectral density increases. At the 10 nA level, the bandwidth of the AD8305 is about 50 kHz and increases in proportion to IPD up to a maximum value of about 15 MHz. Using the buffer amplifier, the increase in noise level at low currents can be addressed by using it to realize lowpass filters of up to three poles. The AD8305 is available in a 16-lead LFCSP package and is specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C.Applications Optical power measurement Wide range baseband logarithmic compression Measurement of current and voltage ratios Optical absorbance measurement

The AD532 is the first pretrimmed single chip monolithic multiplier/divider. It guarantees a maximum multiplying error of ±1.0% and a ±10 V output voltage without the need for any external trimming resistors or output op amp. Because the AD532 is internally trimmed, its simplicity of use provides design engineers with an attractive alternative to modular multipliers, and its monolithic construction provides significant advantages in size, reliability and economy. Further, the AD532 can be used as a direct replacement for other IC multipliers that require external trim networks (such as the AD530).APPLICATIONS Multiplication, division, squaring, square rooting Algebraic computation Power measurements Instrumentation applications Available in chip form

The AD5330 / AD5331 / AD5340 / AD5341 are single 8-/10-/12-bit DACs. They operate from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply consuming just 115 μA at 3 V and feature a power-down mode that further reduces the current to 80 nA. The devices incorporate an on-chip output buffer that can drive the output to both supply rails, but the AD5330, AD5340, and AD5341 allow a choice of buffered or unbuffered reference input. The AD5330 / AD5331 / AD5340 / AD5341 have a parallel interface. CS selects the device and data is loaded into the input registers on the rising edge of WR. The GAIN pin allows the output range to be set at 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF.Input data to the DACs is double-buffered, allowing simultaneous update of multiple DACs in a system using the LDAC pin.An asynchronous CLR input is also provided, which resets the contents of the input register and the DAC register to all zeros. These devices also incorporate a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers on to 0 V and remains there until valid data is written to the device. The AD5330 / AD5331 / AD5340 / AD5341 are available in thin shrink small outline packages (TSSOP).APPLICATIONS Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators Industrial process control

The AD565A and AD566A are fast 12-bit digital-to-analog converters which incorporate the latest advances in analog circuit design to achieve high speeds at low cost. The AD565A and AD566A use 12 precision, high-speed bipolar current-steering switches, control amplifier and a laser-trimmed thin-film resistor network to produce a very fast, high accuracy analog output current. The AD565A also includes a buried Zener reference that features low-noise, long-term stability and temperature drift characteristics comparable to the best discrete reference diodes. The combination of performance and flexibility in the AD565A and AD566A has resulted from major innovations in circuit design, an important new high-speed bipolar process, and continuing advances in laser-wafer-trimming techniques (LWT). The AD565A and AD566A have a 10-90% full-scale transition time less than 35 ns and settle to within ±1/2 LSB in 250 ns max (350 ns for AD566A). Both are laser-trimmed at the wafer level to ±1/8 LSB typical linearity and are specified to ±1/4 LSB max error (K and T grades) at +25°C. High speed and accuracy make the AD565A and AD566A the ideal choice for high-speed display drivers as well as fast analog-to-digital converters. The laser trimming process which provides the excellent linearity is also used to trim both the absolute value and the temperature coefficient of the reference of the AD565A resulting in a typical full-scale gain TC of 10 ppm/°C. When tighter TC performance is required or when a system reference is available, the AD566A may be used with an external reference.AD565A and AD566A are available in four performance grades. The J and K are specified for use over the 0°C to +70°C temperature range while the S and T grades are specified for the -55&176;C to +125°C range. The D grades are all packaged in a 24-pin, hermetically sealed, ceramic, dual-in-line package. The JR grade is packaged in a 28-pin plastic SOIC.
