The ADM3483E / ADM3486E / ADM3488E / ADM3490E / ADM3491E are 3.3 V low power data transceivers with ±15 kV ESD protection suitable for full andhalf-duplex communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. They are designed for balanced data transmission and comply with TIA/EIA standards RS-485 and RS-422. The ADM3483E / ADM3486E is a half-duplex transceiver that shares differential lines and has separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver. The full-duplex ADM3488E / ADM3490E / ADM3491E transceivers have dedicated differential line driver outputs and receiver inputs. The ADM3491E also features enable inputs for the driver and receiver.The devices have a 12 kΩ receiver input impedance which allows up to 32 transceivers on a bus. Since only one driver should be enabled at any time, the output of a disabled or powered down driver is three-stated to avoid overloading the bus. The driver outputs of the ADM3483E / ADM3486E / ADM3488E are slew rate limited in order to reduce EMI and data errors caused by reflections from improperly terminated buses. The receiver has a failsafe feature which ensures a logic high output when the inputs are floating. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or by output shorting is prevented with a thermal shutdown circuit. The parts are fully specified over the industrialtemperature ranges and are available in narrow 8-lead and 14-lead (ADM3491E) SOIC packages.

The ADM690-ADM695 family of supervisory circuits offers complete single chip solutions for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor systems. These functions include µP reset, backup battery switchover, watchdog timer, CMOS RAM write protection, and power failure warning. The complete family provides a variety of configurations to satisfy most microprocessor system requirements.The ADM690, ADM692 and ADM694 are available in 8-pin DIP packages and provide: Power-on reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. The RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1 V. Battery backup switching for CMOS RAM, CMOS microprocessor or other low power logic. A reset pulse if the optional watchdog timer has not been toggled within a specified time. A 1.3 V threshold detector for power fail warning, low battery detection, or to monitor a power supply other than +5 V.The ADM691, ADM693 and ADM695 are available in 16-pin DIP and small outline packages and provide three additional functions. Write protection of CMOS RAM or EEPROM. Adjustable reset and watchdog timeout periods. Separate watchdog timeout, backup battery switchover, and low VCC status outputs.The ADM690-ADM695 family is fabricated using an advanced epitaxial CMOS process combining low power consumption (5 mW), extremely fast Chip Enable gating (5 ns) and high reliability. RESET assertion is guaranteed with VCC as low as 1 V. In addition, the power switching circuitry is designed for minimal voltage drop thereby permitting increased output current drive of up to 100 mA without the need for an external pass transistor.

ADM709SARZ

The ADM709 contains a power supply monitor which generates a system reset during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. When VCC falls below the reset threshold, RESET goes low and holds the µP in reset. On power-up the RESET output is held low for 140 ms after VCC rises above the threshold. The RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1 V.Three supply-voltage threshold levels are available suitable for +5 V, +3.3 V and for +3 V supply monitoring. The ADM809 supervisory circuit monitors the power supply voltage in microprocessor systems. It provides a reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. On power-up, an internal timer holds reset asserted for 240ms. This holds the microprocessor in a reset state until conditions have stabilized. The RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1V. The ADM809 provides an active-low reset signal RESET, and has a push-pull output stage.Seven reset threshold options are available. The devices are housed in tiny, 5-lead SC70 and TSOT packages, as well as in 8-lead SOIC version. The SOIC version of the ADR01, ADR02, and ADR03 are drop-in replacements1 to the industry-standard REF01, REF02, and REF03. The small footprint and wide operating range make the ADR01, ADR02, ADR03, and ADR06 references ideally suited for general-purpose and space-constrained applications.With an external buffer and a simple resistor network, the TEMP pin can be used for temperature sensing and approximation. A TRIM pin is provided on the devices for fine adjustment of the output voltage.The ADR01, ADR02, ADR03, and ADR06 are compact, low drift voltage references that provide a stable output voltage from a wide supply voltage range.
