AD8802ARUZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The 12-channel AD8802 / AD8804 provides independent digitally-controllable voltage outputs in a compact 20-lead package. This potentiometer divider TrimDAC® allows replacement of the mechanical trimmer function in new designs. The AD8802 / AD8804 is ideal for dc voltage adjustment applications.Easily programmed by serial interfaced microcontroller ports, the AD8802 with its midscale preset is ideal for potentiometer replacement where adjustments start at a nominal value. Applications such as gain control of video amplifiers, voltage controlled frequencies and bandwidths in video equipment, geometric correction and automatic adjustment in CRT computer graphic displays are a few of the many applications ideally suited for these parts. The AD8804 provides independent control of both the top and bottom end of the potentiometer divider allowing a separate zero-scale voltage setting determined by the VREFL pin. This is helpful for maximizing the resolution of devices with a limited allowable voltage control range.Internally the AD8802/AD8804 contains 12 voltage-output digital-to-analog converters, sharing a common reference-voltage input. Each DAC has its own DAC latch that holds its output state. These DAC latches are updated from an internal serial-to-parallel shift register that is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial input digital interface. The serial-data-input word is decoded where the first 4 bits determine the address of the DAC latches to be loaded with the last 8 bits of data. The AD8802/ AD8804 consumes only 10 µA from 5 V power supplies. In addition, in shutdown mode reference input current consumption is also reduced to 10 µA while saving the DAC latch settings for use after return to normal operation. The AD8802 / AD8804 is available in the 20-pin plastic DIP, the SOIC-20 surface mount package, and the 1 mm thin TSSOP-20 package.APPLICATIONS Automatic Adjustment Trimmer Replacement Video and Audio Equipment Gain and Offset Adjustment Portable and Battery Operated Equipment

OP27GPZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The OP27 precision operational amplifier combines the low offset and drift of the OP07 with both high speed and low noise. Offsets down to 25 μV and maximum drift of 0.6 μV/°C make the OP27 ideal for precision instrumentation applications. Low noise, en = 3.5 nV/√Hz, at 10 Hz, a low 1/f noise corner frequency of 2.7 Hz, and high gain (1.8 million), allow accurate high-gain amplification of low-level signals. A gain bandwidth product of 8 MHz and a 2.8 V/μs slew rate provide excellent dynamic accuracy in high speed, data-acquisition systems.A low input bias current of ±10 nA is achieved by use of a bias current cancellation circuit. Over the military temperature range, this circuit typically holds IB and IOS to ±20 nA and 15 nA, respectively. The output stage has good load driving capability. A guaranteed swing of ±10 V into 600 Ω and low output distortion make the OP27 an excellent choice for professional audio applications.PSRR and CMRR exceed 120 dB. These characteristics, coupled with long-term drift of 0.2 μV/month, allow the circuit designer to achieve performance levels previously attained only by discrete designs.Low cost, high volume production of OP27 is achieved by using an on-chip Zener zap-trimming network. This reliable and stable offset trimming scheme has proven its effectiveness over many years of production history. The OP27 provides excellent performance in low noise, high accuracy amplification of low level signals. Applications include stable integrators, precision summing amplifiers, precision voltage threshold detectors, comparators, and professional audio circuits such as tape heads and microphone preamplifiers.

OP295GSZ-REEL7

Analog Devices Inc.
Rail-to-rail output swing combined with dc accuracy are the key features of the OP495 quad and OP295 dual CBCMOS operational amplifiers. By using a bipolar front end, lower noise and higher accuracy than those of CMOS designs have been achieved. Both input and output ranges include the negative supply, providing the user with zero-in/zero-out capability. For users of 3.3 V systems such as lithium batteries, the OP295/OP495 are specified for 3 V operation.Maximum offset voltage is specified at 300 μV for 5 V operation, and the open-loop gain is a minimum of 1000 V/mV. This yields performance that can be used to implement high accuracy systems, even in single-supply designs. The ability to swing rail-to-rail and supply 15 mA to the load makes the OP295/OP495 ideal drivers for power transistors and H bridges. This allows designs to achieve higher efficiencies and to transfer more power to the load than previously possible without the use of discrete components. For applications such as transformers that require driving inductive loads, increases in efficiency are also possible. Stability while driving capacitive loads is another benefit of this design over CMOS rail-to-rail amplifiers. This is useful for driving coax cable or large FET transistors. The OP295/OP495 are stable with loads in excess of 300 pF.The OP295 and OP495 are specified over the extended indus-trial (−40°C to +125°C) temperature range. The OP295 is available in 8-lead PDIP and 8-lead SOIC_N surface-mount packages. The OP495 is available in 14-lead PDIP and 16-lead SOIC_W surface-mount packages.Applications Battery-operated instrumentation Servo amplifiers Actuator drives Sensor conditioners Power supply control

OP297FSZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The OP297 is the first dual op amp to pack precision performance into the space-saving, industry standard 8-pin SO package. Its combination of precision with low power and extremely low input bias current makes the dual OP297 useful in a wide variety of applications.Precision performance of the OP297 includes very low offset, under 50µV, and low drift, below 0.6µV/°C. Open-loop gain exceeds 2000V/mV insuring high linearity in every application. Errors due to common-mode signals are eliminated by the OP297's common-mode rejection of over 120 dB. The OP297's power supply rejection of over 120dB minimizes offset voltage changes experienced in battery powered systems. Supply current of the OP297 is under 625µA per amplifier and it can operate with supply voltages as low a ±2V.The OP297 utilizes a super-beta input stage with bias current cancellation to maintain picoamp bias currents at all temperatures. This is in contrast to FET input op amps whose bias currents start in the picoamp range of 25°C, but double for every 10°C rise in temperature, to reach the nanoamp range above 85°C. Input bias current of the OP297 is under 100pA at 25°C and is under 450pA over the military temperature range.Combining precision, low power and low bias current, the OP297 is ideal for a number of applications including instrumentation amplifiers, log amplifiers, phot-diode preamplifiers and long-term integrators. For a single device, see the OP97; for a quad, see the OP497.
