AD7810YRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7810 is a high speed, low power, 10-bit A/D converter that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The part contains a 2 µs successive approximation A/D converter, with inherent track/hold functionality, a pseudo differential input and a high speed serial interface that interfaces to most microcontrollers. The AD7810 is fully specified over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.By using a technique that samples the state of the CONVST (convert start) signal at the end of a conversion, the AD7810 may be used in an automatic power-down mode. When used in this mode, the AD7810 automatically powers down at the end of a conversion and 'wakes up' at the start of a new conversion. This feature significantly reduces the power consumption of the part at lower throughput rates. The AD7810 can also operate in a high speed mode where the part is not powered down between conversions. In this high speed mode of operation, the conversion time of the AD7810 is 2 µs. The maximum throughput rate is dependent on the speed of the serial interface of the microcontroller. The part is available in a small 8-pin, 0.3' wide, plastic dual-in-line package (mini-DIP); in an 8-lead, small outline IC (SOIC); and in an 8-lead microSOIC package.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Complete, 10-Bit ADC in 8-Lead Package The AD7810 is a 10-bit 2.3 µs ADC with inherent track/hold functionality and a high speed serial interface—all in an 8-lead microSOIC package. VREF may be connected to VDD to eliminate the need for an external reference. The result is a high speed, low power, space saving ADC solution. Low Power, Single Supply Operation The AD7810 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and typically consumes only 9 mW of power while converting. The power dissipation can be significantly reduced at lower throughput rates by using the automatic power-down mode, e.g., at a throughput rate of 10 kSPS the power consumption is only 270 µW. Automatic Power-Down The automatic power-down mode, whereby the AD7810 powers down at the end of a conversion and “wakes up” before the next conversion, means the AD7810 is ideal for battery powered applications. See Power vs. Throughput Rate section. Serial Interface An easy to use, fast serial interface allows connection to most popular microprocessors with no external circuitry.APPLICATIONS Low Power, Hand-Held Portable Applications that Require Analog-to-Digital Conversion with 10-Bit Accuracy; e.g., Battery Powered Test Equipment, Battery-Powered Communications Systems

AD7658BSTZ-1
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 are reduced decoupling pin- and software-compatible versions of AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658. The AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 devices contain six 16-/14-/12-bit, fast, low power successive approximation ADCs in a package designed on the iCMOS® process (industrial CMOS). iCMOS is a process combining high voltage silicon with submicron CMOS and complementary bipolar technologies. It enables the development of a wide range of high performance analog ICs capable of 33 V operation in a footprint that no previous generation of high voltage parts could achieve. Unlike analog ICs using conventional CMOS processes, iCMOS components can accept bipolar input signals while providing increased performance, which dramatically reduces power consumption and package size. The AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 feature throughput rates of up to 250 kSPS. The parts contain low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifiers that can handle input frequencies up to 4.5 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using the CONVST signals and an internal oscillator. Three CONVST pins (CONVST A, CONVST B, and CONVST C) allow independent, simultaneous sampling of the three ADC pairs. The AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 have a high speed parallel and serial interface, allowing the devices to interface with microprocessors or DSPs. When the serial interface is selected, each part has a daisy-chain feature that allows multiple ADCs to connect to a single serial interface. The AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 can accommodate true bipolar input signals in the ±4 × VREF and ±2 × VREF ranges. Each AD7656-1 / AD7657-1 / AD7658-1 also contains an on-chip 2.5 V reference.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Six 16-/14-/12-bit, 250 kSPS ADCs on board. Six true bipolar, high impedance analog inputs. High speed parallel and serial interfaces. Reduced decoupling requirements and reduced bill of materials cost compared with the AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 devices.APPLICATIONS Power line monitoring and measuring systems Instrumentation and control systems Multiaxis positioning systems

AD7760BSVZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7760 is a high performance, 24-bit Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It combines wide input bandwidth and high speed with the benefits of Σ-Δ conversion to achieve a performance of 100 dB SNR at 2.5 MSPS, making it ideal for high speed data acquisition. Wide dynamic range combined with significantly reduced antialiasing requirements simplify the design process. An integrated buffer to drive the reference, a differential amplifier for signal buffering and level shifting, an overrange flag, internal gain and offset registers, and a low-pass digital FIR filter make the AD7760 a compact, highly integrated data acquisition device requiring minimal peripheral component selection. In addition, the device offers programmable decimation rates, and the digital FIR filter can be adjusted if the default characteristics are not appropriate for the application. The AD7760 is ideal for applications demanding high SNR without a complex front-end signal processing design. The differential input is sampled at up to 40 MSPS by an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by a series of low-pass filters, with the final filter having default or user-programmable coefficients. The sample rate, filter corner frequencies, and output word rate are set by a combination of the external clock frequency and the configuration registers of the AD7760. The reference voltage supplied to the AD7760 determines the analog input range. With a 4 V reference, the analog input range is ±3.2 V differential biased around a common mode of 2 V. This common-mode biasing can be achieved using the on-chip differential amplifier, further reducing the external signal conditioning requirements. The AD7760 is available in an exposed paddle, 64-lead TQFP and is specified over the industrial temperature range from −40°C to +85°C. AD7799BRUZ-REEL
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7798/AD7799 are low power, low noise, complete analog front ends for high precision measurement applications. The AD7798/AD7799 contains a low noise, 16-/24-bit Σ-Δ ADC with three differential analog inputs. The on-chip, low noise instrumentation amplifier means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC. With a gain setting of 64, the rms noise is 27 nV for the AD7799 and 40 nV for the AD7798 when the update rate equals 4.17 Hz.On-chip features include a low-side power switch, reference detect, programmable digital output pins, burnout currents, and an internal clock oscillator. The output data rate from the part is software-programmable and can be varied from 4.17 Hz to 470 Hz.The part operates with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. The AD7798 consumes a current of 300 μA typical, whereas the AD7799 consumes 380 μA typical. Both devices are housed in a 16-lead TSSOP package.Applications Weigh scales Pressure measurement Strain gauge transducers Gas analysis Industrial process control Instrumentation Portable instrumentation Blood analysis Smart transmitters Liquid/gas chromotography 6-digit DVM
