The AD7192 is a low noise, complete analog front end for high precision measurement applications. It contains a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The on-chip low noise gain stage means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.The device can be configured to have two differential inputs or four pseudo differential inputs. The on-chip channel sequencer allows several channels to be enabled, and the AD7192 sequentially converts on each enabled channel. This simplifies communication with the part. The on-chip 4.92 MHz clock can be used as the clock source to the ADC or, alternatively, an external clock or crystal can be used. The output data rate from the part can be varied from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.The device has two digital filter options. The choice of filter affects the rms noise/noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, the settling time, and the 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection. The architecture features inherent high resolution (24-bit no missing codes, up to 19.5-bit effective resolution), high linearity (±0.01%), and high accuracy (±10 fF factory calibrated). The AD7747 capacitance input range is ±8 pF (changing), and it can accept up to 17 pF common-mode capacitance (not changing), which can be balanced by a programmable on-chip digital-to-capacitance converter (CAPDAC).The AD7747 is designed for single-ended or differential capacitive sensors with one plate connected to ground. This device operates from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply, making it suited to battery-powered applications and other applications.As a result of being manufactured on a CMOS submicron process, this part offers excellent 4-quadrant multiplication characteristics, with large-signal multiplying bandwidths of 10 MHz.The applied external reference input voltage (VREF) determines the full scale output current. An integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full scale voltage output when combined with an external current to voltage precision amplifier.
