The ADuM520x are dual channel digital isolators with isoPower, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based onthe Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, the dc-to-dcconverter provides up to 500 mW of regulated, isolated powerwith 5.0 V input and 5.0 V output voltage, or 200 mW of power with 3.3 V input and 3.3 V output voltage. This eliminates the need for a separate isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power isolated designs. The Analog Devices chip scale transformer iCoupler technology is used for the isolation of the logic signals as well as for the dc-to-dc converter. The ADG444 is a monolithic CMOS device comprising four independently selectable switches. It is designed on an enhanced LC2MOS process which provides low power dissipation yet gives high switching speed and low on resistance.The ADG444 switches are turned on with a logic low on the appropriate control input. Each switch conducts equally well in both directions when ON and each has an input signal range that extends to the supplies. All switches exhibit break-before-make switching action for use in multiplexer applications. Inherent in the design is low charge injection for minimum transients when switching the digital inputs.

The ADuM3160 is a USB port isolator, based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology, this isolation component provides outstanding performance characteristics and is easily integrated with low and full speed USB-compatible peripheral devices.Many microcontrollers implement USB so that it presents only the D+ and D− lines to external pins. This is desirable in many cases because it minimizes external components and simplifies the design; however, this presents particular challenges when isolation is required. Because the USB lines must switch between actively driving D+/D− and allowing external resistors to set the state of the bus, the ADuM3160 provides mechanisms for detecting the direction of data flow and control over the state of the output buffers. Data direction is determined on a packet-by-packet basis.The ADuM3160 uses the edge detection based iCoupler technology in conjunction with internal logic to implement a transparent, easily configured, upstream-facing port isolator. Isolating the upstream port provides several advantages in simplicity, power management, and robust operation.The isolator has propagation delay comparable to that of a standard hub and cable. It operates with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, allowing connection directly to VBUSx by internally regulating the voltage to the signaling level. The ADuM3160 provides isolated control of the pull-up resistor to allow the peripheral to control connection timing. The ADuM4165/ADuM4166 are USB 2.0 port isolators, utilizing Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology to dynamically support all USB 2.0 data rates; low (1.5 Mbps), full (12 Mbps), or high (480 Mbps), as required. The devices support host isolation with automatic speed negotiation as well as peripheral isolation.High speed data is retimed for jitter reduction, requiring an external clock signal or crystal input. The ADuM4165 supports the clock or crystal input on the upstream side, and the ADuM4166 supports the clock or crystal input on the downstream side, offering two options to best suit the system design.The low power standby mode for downstream (Side 2) supports applications with limited available power, such as battery-operated peripherals.
