The AD7804/AD7808 are quad/octal 10-bit digital-to-analog converters, with serial load capabilities, while the AD7805/AD7809 are quad/octal 10-bit digital-to-analog converters with parallel load capabilities. These parts operate from a +3.3 V to +5 V (10%) power supply and incorporates an on-chip reference. These DACs provide output signals in the form of VBIAS VSWING. VSWING is derived internally from VBIAS. On-chip control registers include a system control register and channel control registers. The system control register has control over all DACs in the package. The channel control registers allow individual control of DACs. The complete transfer function of each individual DAC can be shifted around the VBIAS point using an on-chip Sub DAC. All DACs contain double buffered data inputs, which allow all analog outputs to be simultaneously updated using the asynchronous LDAC input.ApplicationsOptical Disk Drives Instrumentation and Communication Systems Process Control and Voltage Setpoint Control Trim Potentiometer Replacement Automatic Calibration Data Sheet, Rev. AD7863ARSZ-10
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7863 is a high speed, low power, dual 14-bit analog-to-digital converter that operates from a single 5 V supply. The part contains two 5.2 μs successive approximation ADCs, two track/hold amplifiers, an internal 2.5 V reference and a high speed parallel interface. Four analog inputs are grouped into two channels (A and B) selected by the A0 input. Each channel has two inputs (VA1 and VA2 or VB1 and VB2) that can be sampled and converted simultaneously, thus preserving the relative phase information of the signals on both analog inputs. The part accepts an analog input range of ±10 V (AD7863-10), ±2.5 V (AD7863-3), and 0 V to 2.5 V (AD7863-2). Overvoltage protection on the analog inputs for the part allows the input voltage to go to ±17 V, ±7 V, or +7 V respectively, without causing damage.A single conversion start signal (CONVST) simultaneously places both track/holds into hold and initiates conversion on both channels. The BUSY signal indicates the end of conversion and at this time the conversion results for both channels are available to be read. The first read after a conversion accesses the result from VA1 or VB1, and the second read accesses the result from VA2 or VB2, depending on whether the multiplexer select (A0) is low or high, respectively. Data is read from the part via a 14-bit parallel data bus with standard CS and RD signals. In addition to the traditional dc accuracy specifications such as linearity, gain, and offset errors, the part is also specified for dynamic performance parameters including harmonic distortion and signal-to-noise ratio. The AD7863 is fabricated in the Analog Devices, Inc. linear compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) process, a mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low power CMOS logic. It is available in 28-lead SOIC_W and SSOP.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD7863 features two complete ADC functions allowing simultaneous sampling and conversion of two channels. Each ADC has a two-channel input mux. The conversion result for both channels is available 5.2 μs after initiating conversion. The AD7863 operates from a single 5 V supply and consumes 70 mW typical. The automatic power-down mode, where the part goes into power-down once conversion is complete and wakes up before the next conversion cycle, makes the AD7863 ideal for battery-powered or portable applications. The part offers a high speed parallel interface for easy connection to microprocessors, microcontrollers, and digital signal processors. The part is offered in three versions with different analog input ranges. The AD7863-10 offers the standard industrial input range of ±10 V; the AD7863-3 offers the common signal processing input range of ±2.5 V, while the AD7863-2 can be used in unipolar 0 V to 2.5 V applications. The part features very tight aperture delay matching between the two input sample and hold amplifiers.

The ADM3483E / ADM3486E / ADM3488E / ADM3490E / ADM3491E are 3.3 V, low power data transceivers with ±15 kV ESD protection suitable for full- and half-duplex communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. They are designed for balanced data transmission, and they comply with TIA/EIA standards RS485 and RS-422. The ADM3483E / ADM3486E are half-duplex transceivers that share differential lines and have separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver. The full-duplex ADM3488E / ADM3490E / ADM3491E transceivers have dedicated differential line driver outputs and receiver inputs. The ADM3491E also features separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver. The devices have a 12 kΩ receiver input impedance, which allows up to 32 transceivers on a bus. Because only one driver should be enabled at any time, the output of a disabled or powered-down driver is tristated to avoid overloading the bus.The driver outputs of the ADM3483E / ADM3486E / ADM3488E are slew rate limited, in order to reduce EMI and data errors caused by reflections from improperly terminated buses. The receiver has a fail-safe feature that ensures a logic high output when the inputs are floating. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or by output shorting is prevented with a thermal shutdown circuit. The parts are fully specified over the industrial temperature range and are available in 8-lead and 14-lead narrow SOIC packages.APPLICATIONS Power/energy metering Telecommunications EMI-sensitive systems Industrial control Local area networks

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM660 / ADM8660 is a charge-pump voltage converter that can be used to either invert the input supply voltage giving VOUT = -VIN or double it (ADM660 only) giving VOUT = 2 x VIN. Input voltages ranging from +1.5 V to +7 V can be inverted into a negative -1.5 V to -7 V output supply. This inverting scheme is ideal for generating a negative rail in single power supply systems. Only two small external capacitors are needed for the charge pump. Output currents up to 50 mA with greater than 90% efficiency are achievable, while 100 mA achieves greater than 80% efficiency.A Frequency Control (FC) input pin is used to select either 25 kHz or 120 kHz charge-pump operation. This is used to optimize capacitor size and quiescent current. With 25 kHz selected, a 10 µF external capacitor is suitable, while with 120 kHz the capacitor may be reduced to 2.2 µF. The oscillator frequency on the ADM660 can also be controlled with an external capacitor connected to the OSC input or by driving this input with an external clock. In applications where a higher supply voltage is desired it is possible to use the ADM660 to double the input voltage. With input voltages from 2.5 V to 7 V, output voltages from 5 V to 14 V are achievable with up to 100 mA output current. The ADM8660 features a low power shutdown (SD) pin instead of the external oscillator (OSC) pin. This can be used to disable the device and reduce the quiescent current to 300 nA.APPLICATIONS Handheld Instruments Portable Computers Remote Data Acquisition Op Amp Power Supplies
