The AD7730L is a complete analog front end for weigh-scale and pressure measurement applications. The device accepts low-level signals directly from a transducer and outputs a serial digital word. Theinput signal is applied to a proprietary programmable gain front end based around an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by a low pass programmable digital filter, allowing adjustment of filter cutoff, output rate and settling time.The part features two buffered differential programmable gain analog inputs as well as a differential reference input. The device operates from a single +5 V supply. It accepts four unipolar analog input ranges: 0 mV to +10 mV, +20 mV, +40 mV and +80 mV and four bipolar ranges: ±10 mV, ±20 mV, ±40 mV and ±80 mV. The peak-to-peak resolution achievable directly from the part is 1 in 110,000 counts. An on-chip 6-bit DAC allows the removal of TARE voltages. Clock signals for synchronizing ac excitation of the bridge are also provided.The serial interface on the part can be configured for three-wire operation and is compatible with microcontrollers and digital signal processors. The AD7730L contains self-calibration and system calibration options, and features an offset drift of less than 5 nV/°C and a gain drift of less than 3 ppm/°C. The part is available in a 24-lead SOIC and 24-lead TSSOP package. It is a lower power version of the AD7730 (approximately 1/3 the power).

Dispersion, a measure of the difference inpropagation delay under differing overdrive conditions, is a particularlyimportant characteristic of high speed comparators. A separateprogrammable hysteresis pin is available on the ADCMP564.A differential input stage permits consistent propagation delaywith a wide variety of signals in the common-mode range from−2.0 V to +3.0 V. Outputs are complementary digital signals thatare fully compatible with ECL 10 K and 10 KH logic families.The outputs provide sufficient drive current to directly drivetransmission lines terminated in 50 Ω to −2 V. A latch input,which is included, permits tracking, track-and-hold, or sample-and-holdmodes of operation. The ADA4945-1 is a low noise, low distortion, fully differential amplifier with two selectable power modes. The device operates over a broad power supply range of 3 V to 10 V. The low dc offset, dc offset drift, and excellent dynamic performance of the ADA4945-1 makes it well suited for a variety of data acquisition and signal processing applications. The device is an ideal choice for driving high resolution, high performance successive approximation register (SAR) and Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) on 4 mA of quiescent current (full power mode). The device can also be selected to operate on 1.4 mA of quiescent current (low power mode) to scale the power consumption to the desired performance necessary for an ADC drive application. The adjustable common-mode voltage allows the ADA4945-1 to match the input common-mode voltage of multiple ADCs. The internal common-mode feedback loop provides exceptional output balance, as well as suppression of even order harmonic distortion products.With the ADA4945-1, differential gain configurations are achieved with a simple external feedback network of four resistors determining the closed-loop gain of the amplifier. The ADA4945-1 is fabricated using Analog Devices, Inc., proprietary, silicon germanium (SiGe), complementary bipolar process, enabling the device to achieve low levels of distortion with an input voltage noise of only 1.8 nV/√Hz (full power mode).The ADA4945-1 is available in a RoHS-complaint, 3 mm × 3 mm, 16-lead LFCSP.
