The ADuC841/ADuC842/ADuC843 are complete smart transducer front ends, that integrates a high performance self-calibrating multichannel ADC, a dual DAC, and an optimized single-cycle 20 MHz 8-bit MCU (8051 instruction set compatible) on a single chip.The ADuC841 and ADuC842 are identical with the exception of the clock oscillator circuit; the ADuC841 is clocked directly from an external crystal up to 20 MHz whereas the ADuC842 uses a 32 kHz crystal with an on-chip PLL generating a programmable core clock up to 16.78 MHz.The ADuC843 is identical to the ADuC842 except that the ADuC843 has no analog DAC outputs.The microcontroller is an optimized 8052 core offering up to 20 MIPS peak performance. Three different memory options are available offering up to 62 kBytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE program memory. Four kBytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE data memory, 256 bytes RAM, and 2 kBytes of extended RAM are also integrated on-chip. The parts also incorporate additional analog functionality with two 12-bit DACs, power supply monitor, and a band gap reference. On-chip digital peripherals include two 16-bit Σ-Δ. DACs, a dual output 16-bit PWM, a watchdog timer, a time interval counter, three timers/counters, and three serial I/O ports (SPI, I2C, and UART).On the ADuC812 and the ADuC832, the I2C and SPI interfaces share some of the same pins. For backwards compatibility, this is also the case for the ADuC841/ADuC842/ADuC843.However, there is also the option to allow SPI operate separately on P3.3, P3.4, and P3.5, while I2C uses the standard pins. The ADM690-ADM695 family of supervisory circuits offers complete single chip solutions for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor systems. These functions include µP reset, backup battery switchover, watchdog timer, CMOS RAM write protection, and power failure warning. The complete family provides a variety of configurations to satisfy most microprocessor system requirements.The ADM690, ADM692 and ADM694 are available in 8-pin DIP packages and provide: Power-on reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. The RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1 V. Battery backup switching for CMOS RAM, CMOS microprocessor or other low power logic. A reset pulse if the optional watchdog timer has not been toggled within a specified time. A 1.3 V threshold detector for power fail warning, low battery detection, or to monitor a power supply other than +5 V.The ADM691, ADM693 and ADM695 are available in 16-pin DIP and small outline packages and provide three additional functions. Write protection of CMOS RAM or EEPROM. Adjustable reset and watchdog timeout periods. Separate watchdog timeout, backup battery switchover, and low VCC status outputs.The ADM690-ADM695 family is fabricated using an advanced epitaxial CMOS process combining low power consumption (5 mW), extremely fast Chip Enable gating (5 ns) and high reliability. RESET assertion is guaranteed with VCC as low as 1 V. In addition, the power switching circuitry is designed for minimal voltage drop thereby permitting increased output current drive of up to 100 mA without the need for an external pass transistor.

The ADM709 contains a power supply monitor which generates a system reset during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. When VCC falls below the reset threshold, RESET goes low and holds the µP in reset. On power-up the RESET output is held low for 140 ms after VCC rises above the threshold. The RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1 V.Three supply-voltage threshold levels are available suitable for +5 V, +3.3 V and for +3 V supply monitoring. The ADP1715 / ADP1716 are low dropout, CMOS linear regulators that operate from 2.5 V to 5.5 V and provide up to 500 mA of output current. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, they provide high power supply rejection and achieve excellent line and load transient response with just a small 2.2 μF ceramic output capacitor.Three versions of this part are available, one with fixed output voltage options and variable soft start (ADP1715), one with adjustable output voltage and fixed soft start (ADP1715 Adjustable), and one with voltage tracking in fixed output voltage options (ADP1716). The fixed output voltage options are internally set to one of sixteen values between 0.75 V and 3.3 V; the adjustable output voltage can be set to any value between 0.8 V and 5.0 V by an external voltage divider connected from OUT to ADJ. The variable soft start uses an external capacitor at SS to control the output voltage ramp.
