The ADM3053 is an isolated controller area network (CAN) physical layer transceiver with an integrated isolated dc-to-dc converter. The ADM3053 complies with the ISO 11898 standard.The device employs Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology to combine a 2-channel isolator, a CAN transceiver, and Analog Devices isoPower® dc-to-dc converter into a single SOIC surface mount package. An on-chip oscillator outputs a pair of square waveforms that drive an internal transformer to provide isolated power. The device is powered by a single 5 V supply realizing a fully isolated CAN solution.The ADM3053 creates a fully isolated interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical layer bus. It is capable of running at data rates of up to 1 Mbps.The device has current limiting and thermal shutdown features to protect against output short circuits. The part is fully specified over the industrial temperature range and is available in a 20-lead, wide-body SOIC package.The ADM3053 contains isoPower technology that uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through the transformer. Demonstration circuit 2365A highlights the LTC2358 family of buffered input ADCs. The LTC2358/LTC2357/LTC2353/LTC2333 are low noise, high speed, 16-/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs with integrated front end buffers. These ADCs accept a wide common mode range. Pico-amp inputs and high CMRR enable these ADCs to connect directly to a wide range of sensors without compromising measurement accuracy. The demo manual refers to the LTC2358-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2358-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.

The ADXL345 is a small, thin, low power, 3-axis accelerometer with high resolution (13-bit) measurement at up to ±16g. The ADG441 is a monolithic CMOS device comprising four independently selectable switches. It is designed on an enhanced LC2MOS process which provides low power dissipation yet gives high switching speed and low on resistance.The ADG441 switches are turned on with a logic low on the appropriate control input. Each switch conducts equally well in both directions when ON and each has an input signal range that extends to the supplies. All switches exhibit break-before-make switching action for use in multiplexer applications. Inherent in the design is low charge injection for minimum transients when switching the digital inputs.
