The AD8280 is a hardware-only safety monitor for lithium ionbattery stacks. The device has inputs to monitor six battery cellsand two temperature sensors (either NTC or PTC thermistors).The device is designed to be daisy-chained with additional AD8280devices to monitor a stack of significantly more than six cellswithout the need for numerous isolators. The output can beconfigured for an independent or shared alarm state.The AD8280 functions independently from a primarymonitor and contains a reference and LDO, both of which arepowered completely from the battery cell stack. The reference, inconjunction with external resistor dividers, establishes trip pointsfor the overvoltages and undervoltages. Each cell channel containsprogrammable deglitching circuitry to prevent alarms fromtransient input levels.The AD8280 also has two digital pins that can select variouscombinations of inputs in the case where fewer than six cells areto be monitored. Most important, it has a self-test feature, makingit suitable for high reliability applications, such as automotivehybrid electric vehicles or higher voltage industrial usage, such asuninterruptible power supplies. The ADG901/ADG902 are wideband switches that use a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process to provide high isolation and low insertion loss to 1 GHz. The ADG901 is an absorptive (matched) switch with 50 ? terminated shunt legs, while the ADG902 is a reflective switch. These devices are designed such that the isolation is high over the dc to 1 GHz frequency range. These switches enable the user to pass dc signals up to 0.5 V without the use of a dc blocking capacitor. They have on-board CMOS control logic, thus eliminating the need for external controlling circuitry. The control inputs are both CMOS and LVTTL compatible. Demonstration circuit 1901A is a 150V input, 100mA output DC/DC power supply featuring the LTC3639. The IC operates in a high efficiency Burst Mode® operation and includes internal high and low side power MOSFETs. The board will accept an input voltage between 4V and 150V, and provide jumper selected output voltages of 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V and an option for additional voltages. The IC includes internal soft-start and a provision for increasing soft-start time.

The LTC3129 is a high efficiency, 200mA buck-boost DC/DC converter with a wide VIN and VOUT range. It includes an accurate RUN pin threshold to allow predictable regulator turn-on and a maximum power point control (MPPC) capability that ensures maximum power extraction from non-ideal power sources such as photovoltaic panels.The LTC3129 employs an ultralow noise, 1.2MHz PWM switching architecture that minimizes solution footprint by allowing the use of tiny, low profile inductors and ceramic capacitors. Built-in loop compensation and soft-start simplify the design.
