AD7760BSVZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7760 is a high performance, 24-bit Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It combines wide input bandwidth and high speed with the benefits of Σ-Δ conversion to achieve a performance of 100 dB SNR at 2.5 MSPS, making it ideal for high speed data acquisition. Wide dynamic range combined with significantly reduced antialiasing requirements simplify the design process. An integrated buffer to drive the reference, a differential amplifier for signal buffering and level shifting, an overrange flag, internal gain and offset registers, and a low-pass digital FIR filter make the AD7760 a compact, highly integrated data acquisition device requiring minimal peripheral component selection. In addition, the device offers programmable decimation rates, and the digital FIR filter can be adjusted if the default characteristics are not appropriate for the application. The AD7760 is ideal for applications demanding high SNR without a complex front-end signal processing design. The differential input is sampled at up to 40 MSPS by an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by a series of low-pass filters, with the final filter having default or user-programmable coefficients. The sample rate, filter corner frequencies, and output word rate are set by a combination of the external clock frequency and the configuration registers of the AD7760. The reference voltage supplied to the AD7760 determines the analog input range. With a 4 V reference, the analog input range is ±3.2 V differential biased around a common mode of 2 V. This common-mode biasing can be achieved using the on-chip differential amplifier, further reducing the external signal conditioning requirements. The AD7760 is available in an exposed paddle, 64-lead TQFP and is specified over the industrial temperature range from −40°C to +85°C. ADL5387-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5387 is a broadband quadrature I/Q demodulator that covers an RF/IF input frequency range from 30 MHz to 2 GHz. With a NF = 13.2 dB, IP1dB = 12.7 dBm, and IIP3 = 32 dBm @ 450 MHz, the ADL5387 demodulator offers outstanding dynamic range suitable for the demanding infrastructure direct-conversion requirements. The differential RF/IF inputs provide a well-behaved broadband input impedance of 50 Ω and are best driven from a 1:1 balun for optimum performance.Ultrabroadband operation is achieved with a divide-by-2 method for local oscillator (LO) quadrature generation. Over a wide range of LO levels, excellent demodulation accuracy is achieved with amplitude and phase balances ~0.05 dB and ~0.4°, respectively. The demodulated in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) differential outputs are fully buffered and provide a voltage conversion gain of >4 dB. The buffered baseband outputs are capable of driving a 2 Vp-p differential signal into 200 Ω.The fully balanced design minimizes effects from second-order distortion. The leakage from the LO port to the RF port is 60 dBm.The ADL5387 operates off a single 4.75 V to 5.25 V supply. The supply current is adjustable with an external resistor from the BIAS pin to ground. The ADL5387 is fabricated using the Analog Devices, Inc. advanced silicon-germanium bipolar process and is available in a 24-lead exposed paddle LFCSP.APPLICATIONS QAM/QPSK RF/IF demodulators W-CDMA/CDMA/CDMA2000/GSM Microwave point-to-(multi)point radios Broadband wireless and WiMAX Broadband CATVs

ADL5501-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5501 is a mean-responding power detector for use in high frequency receiver and transmitter signal chains from 50 MHz to 6 GHz. It is easy to apply, requiring only a single supply between 2.7 V and 5.5 V and a power supply decoupling capacitor. The input is internally ac-coupled and has a nominal input impedance of 50 Ω. The output is a linear-responding dc voltage with a conversion gain of 6.3 V/V rms at 900 MHz.The ADL5501 is intended for true power measurement of simple and complex waveforms. The device is particularly useful for measuring high crest factor (high peak-to-rms ratio) signals, such as CDMA-, CDMA2000-, W-CDMA-, and QPSK-/QAM-based OFDM waveforms. The on-chip modulation filter provides adequate averaging for most waveforms. The on-chip, 100 Ω series resistance at the output, combined with an external shunt capacitor, creates a low-pass filter response that reduces the residual ripple in the dc output voltage. For more complex waveforms, an external capacitor at the FLTR pin can be used for supplementary signal demodulation. The ADL5501 offers excellent temperature stability across a 30 dB range and near 0 dB measurement error across temperature over the top portion of the dynamic range. In addition to its temperature stability, the ADL5501 offers low process variations that further reduce calibration complexity. The ADL5501 operates from −40°C to +85°C and is available in a small 6-lead SC-70 package. It is fabricated on a proprietary high fT silicon bipolar process.ApplicationsMeasurement of CDMA-, CDMA2000-, W-CDMA-, and QPSK-/ QAM-based OFDM, and other complex modulationwaveforms RF transmitter or receiver power measurement

ADL5542ACPZ-R7
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5542 is a broadband 20 dB linear amplifier that operates at frequencies up to 6 GHz. The device can be used in a wide variety of CATV, cellular, and instrumentation equipment. The ADL5542 provides a gain of 20 dB that is stable over frequency, temperature, power supply, and from device to device. The device is internally matched to 50 Ω with an input return loss of 10 dB or better, up to 6 GHz. Only input/output ac coupling capacitors, power supply decoupling capacitors, and an external inductor are required for operation. The ADL5542 is fabricated on an InGaP HBT process and has an ESD rating of 1 kV (Class 1C). The device is packaged in a 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP that uses an exposed paddle for excellent thermal impedance. The ADL5542 consumes 93 mA on a single 5 V supply and is fully specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C. A fully populated RoHS-compliant evaluation board is available. The ADL5541 is a companion part that offers a gain of 15 dB in a pin-compatible package.
