The Starter Kit is a great way to get started with Arduino, coding and electronics! The Starter Kit includes the components you need to make 15 fun projects following the step-by-step tutorials on the Project Book. The Starter Kit walks you through the basics of using the Arduino in a hands-on way. You'll learn through building several creative projects. The kit includes a selection of the most common and useful electronic components with a book of 15 projects. The Arduino Explore IoT Kit Rev2 empowers advanced high school and college students to easily create their own Internet of Things (IoT) connected devices. With accessible getting started activities and 10 sustainability projects, students will gain knowledge in building Internet-connected objects through technical and theoretical lessons. These projects are designed to challenge students to investigate and solve real-world issues related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, such as urban farming, health monitoring, and water and waste conservation. By using design thinking methods, students can develop unique solutions to these challenges while learning about future technologies and design methodologies. Learning Outcomes

The purpose of the Arduino Explore IoT Kit Rev2 is to provide students with a complete understanding of the Internet of Things, while also encouraging them to think about solving global sustainability challenges related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. To ensure that the kit meets the necessary academic and industrial standards, Arduino have identified key concepts that students should learn, such as the tools used for communication, data management, analysis, and computational thinking. The kit uses real-world sensors to collect meaningful data from the environment, which can be modified by remotely controlling actuators such as LEDs, buzzers, and displays through the Cloud. This approach allows students to gain hands-on experience in using IoT technology to address sustainability challenges.

    • Each project contains five modules which can be completed in an order that makes sense for your classroom.
    • To complete a project, students ideally need good programming skills and to have worked with sensor technologies. 
    • However, if your students are at more of a basic level, the kit also includes additional technical activities and lessons for beginners.
